| He might've started talking about Falco/Wolf, else he was probably just going to go into further detail with the character customization than disclosed at the time. I wouldn't mind either/both. |

| Yeah either is very possible. I've always been outspoken on cutting Falco so I could take or leave him, maybe giving Falco's Neutral and Side Specials to Fox as variants.
EDIT: Also the Challenger Approaching banners are down. It's never an indication of anything but it's worth noting. |

Pic of the day. I, Takamaru, have waited many years to appear in Super Smash Bros.! Link, Samus, Pit, and I debuted in the same year! Multidirectional Pinwheel Knife Rook Attack!! (FYI, I'm an Assist Trophy.)

| It's nice to see him, and it's a shame because a lot of people were hoping for him. However I don't think he would have added much to the game other than his name. The things he can do are already covered very well by people like Marth and Shiek. |

| Takamaru was a character speculated for the game before the game was even announced. He was in the same bag that Professor Layton was in. This being said, the fact that he has made it as an assist trophy impresses me.
Also, there's been a small streak of more-than-semi-interesting PoTDs. Lets see how long this can last. |

Is sticker star really that bad? I'm in the middle of a TYOD re-playthrough, so I'm intrigued to know why it's meh. ...Unless that's a bit off topic. |

There are two images today, showing that the stage evolves like a pop-up book. It confirmed that one of them is S.S. Flavion from The Thousand-Year Door so it appears it spans the franchise. EDIT: Have a look at this image, taken from the Smash Direct. - Spoiler:
At the top left of the image there's a bit of writing that translates to "Boss HP - 100.000". It's at the Direct at precisely 36:00, I just checked and it is there. It appears Palutena's Temple probably has a boss by the looks of things, in which case it's probably Hades or Dark Pit. |

| SO N's castle confirmed as a stage, Reshiram Zekrom and ..Milotic (??) will appear. It's strange, because Milotic has literally no significance at all basically to this area at all. It's so far out of relation, that it almost makes me wonder if it's a slip-up.
I suppose that you could argue Cresselia had no business hanging out on Spear Pillar but at least it was another Gen 4 legendary with relation to the game's story.
Excited for this stage in general tho
Edit: Hearing things that this might actually be Parfum Palace which might mean all three of these guys are just statues |

| Nah it's the Unova Pokémon League (Essentially N's Castle). Note the shape of the trees and the four broken pillars half way up the stairs. Milotic's a weird one though, not only is it not featured at all in that location, but it doesn't even feature in the region. Plus Unova is important in that the Pokémon are almost totally unique to that region, in other words no other Generations are really featured in the games. |

Not to mention Dillon being confirmed for both consecutively. Me and my friends are eagerly waiting to see what's in store for Rayman. I don't have a WiiU, but Rayman landing in Smash would probably get me to buying one. Or at the very least a 3DS. Obviously, there's other characters that I'm crossing my fingers for more, such as Maxwell or a Belmont, but Rayman would be a high-impact addition to the roster. |

| At the moment there is really no other veteran I really need to see back. I mean I used Snake and Squirtle but I've accepted their fate. The game would also feel lacking without Ness and Ice Climbers but I never personally used them.
I'm not counting Mewtwo as I'm talking Brawl veterans, the characters in my avatar are the only ones really left for my wishlist. |

| For me, this roster is rather lacking so far. But its too soon say that for certain since we are still missing characters. The majority of the newcomers have been rather underwhelming to me. Note that these are just personal input. Do note, that my critique in the spoiler is quite a read. So unless you enjoy reading other's elaborate opinions on Smash characters, I wouldn't recommend opening this spoiler. - Spoiler:
Villager - I feel that an Animal Crossing rep is a given. Despite Sakurai's previous comment about not being able to make a character from the series playable, I felt he contradicted himself with the additions of several past Smash characters. The time between Brawl & Smash 4 gave him enough time to think of how Villager can work while the Animal Crossing franchises continues to be a staple under the Nintendo company. I love the fact that Animal Crossing now has a playable character and have no complaints about it. However, I can't help but feel that he didn't hype me up too much cause I expected a rep from the series for soo long, especially after Animal Crossing became such an established franchise.
Wii Fit Trainer - Didn't see this one coming. I complained about her the first 15 minutes, but I warmed up (no pun intended) to the idea once I reminded myself how important the Wii Fit series has been to today's generation of casual Nintendo fans. I'm actually glad they added this character cause I didn't expect it and makes a lot of sense to have. However, due to how modern the Wii Fit series is and how little is known of the Wii Fit Trainer prior to Smash, I don't feel overly hyped about this character. I didn't even know a trainer existed in the Wii Fit series until the Smash 4 trailer at least year's E3.
Mega Man - I didn't grow up playing Mega Man. I do acknowledge the impact he has made in gaming, so it doesn't feel strange to have him around. At the time he was revealed, we didn't have Snake or Sonic announced. So the concern over Snake & Sonic made me care less for Mega Man. However, I am only happy for him cause it made the fanbase extremely happy and gave the Smash game more notoriety.
Rosalina - Definitely hate her addition to the roster. I understand that with Mario, Luigi, Peach, & Bowser already in that any other Mario character is just a bonus. However, I feel that Toad had more of a presence in the overall series compared to Rosalina. Hell, Toad has been around for like 30 years. Rosalina has only been in the series since 2009 or something. Even Waluigi, Paper Mario, & Bowser Jr. had longer runs in the Mario series than her. To me, favoring Rosalina is like favoring the newbie over the character like Toad who you have been use to seeing around for over 20 years.
Little Mac - Personally, my favorite newcomer out of everyone. I only favor Litte Mac the most because I grew up with the Punch Out series. Despite the popularity and the demands for him to be playable, I began to worry he would never make it as a playable character this time around cause Smash Bros. is being made by Japanese people who are not fans of boxing. When his trailer first played at the Feb. 2014 Nintendo Direct, I felt that hype that I been waiting for since Smash 4 was first presented at E3 2013. I'm the type of person who loves to use aerial attacks, but I will still try to main Little Mac.
Greninja - Not a fan of his addition to the roster. Just like Rosalina, I feel he was added in for the sake of relevancy. Though, I am not as butthurt about Greninja as I was about Rosalina. Reason because since Melee, the Pokemon section of the roster always featured a recent-gen Pokemon. So his addition is no surprise. However, I feel that Sakurai & Game Freak really missed a great opportunity here. Instead of adding Greninja, they could've added Mewtwo. At least with Mewtwo you have the following benefits. Things like returning veteren, Mega Evolution (which would count as some form of 6th gen representation without adding Greninja), a legendary Pokemon, etc. Greninja as a Pokemon rep and in playstyle doesn't offer anything special to me. He is another evolved gen-starter like Charizard, the whole ninja-style you already see in Sheik, which also can be added to another character if you pick the right candidate, etc. I look at Greninja as a missed opportunity rather than someone to be hyped about.
Mii Fighters - Hate this addition to the roster more than any other newcomer. While I understand that Smash 4's many main themes are customization, however I can't help but feel that the addition of the Mii Fighters took way too much time that could've been used to add some more notable characters. I look at Mii Fighters similar to how I looked at Subspace Emissary from Brawl. Time wasted that could've been better off used for something else. I can accept it if Mii Fighters had just 1 fighter where you can pick between 3 classes with a straight-forward moveset per class, but dammit 3 classes each with 12 different special attacks to choose from? Too much time! What adds more salt to the wound is that you can only use your Mii Fighters solo or with friends online. Nintendo tends to play the safe card too much, especially Sakurai when it comes to Online.
Palutena - I'm not upset about her addition. I actually like it to some extent. However, she comes off as just a bonus character rather than someone who needed to be on the roster. And this is Kid Icarus we are talking about. A franchise that has been dead for like 20 years prior to Uprising. Why should 1 relevant game give this franchise soo much representation. Kid Icarus has a heavy presence in Smash 4 in all angles. I know, Sakurai helped develop the Uprising game, thus has the resources to get them quickly. I can't help but feel that Palutena was added once again for market value to help Uprising sell more. I know Smash has been a marketing tool for many games, but with everything Kid Icarus has in Smash 4, it feels a bit like its being shoved down our throats, even more with Palutena on the roster.
Pac Man - Similar to Mega Man, the lack of both Snake & Sonic (but now he is confirmed) hinders my hype for Pac Man. His moveset doesn't seem appealing to me either for some reason. Feels like they had to scrap from the bottom of the barrel to make Pac Man possible to be playable. With Namco's involvement in Smash, I kinda saw this coming. So the lack of Snake & the expectations due to Namco's involvement didn't help my interest in Pac Man.
Robin - Besides Little Mac, Villager, & Wii Fit Trainer, & to some extent Palutena, Robin is another character I am very pleased with. I loved Fire Emblem Awakening. Personally, it is the best handheld software I ever played in my life. I enjoyed it 10x more than any main Pokemon game I ever got my hands on. Its been a long time coming to see a Fire Emblem character who isn't another blue-haired, sword-swinging protagonist. While giving limited use to Robin's tomes & Levin Sword makes him more unique, I kinda find it unfair for the character himself. Why should only Robin have limited power use? Why hasn't the same thing ever been done for the moves on a Pokemon who canonically also have limited power use in moves? If this is a feature that will be in Smash, I feel they should've given power limitation to other characters besides Robin. If not, then don't limit Robin of his powers at all. Other than that, I am looking forward to playing as him.
Lucina - Despite being a newfound Fire Emblem fan, I am not pleased with Lucina's addition to the roster. As much as I loved Awakening, her addition feels like a big waste. First off, it gives the Fire Emblem series one too many characters than it needed. It would've been fine with just Marth, Ike, & Robin alone. As a FE rep, she only offers gender as far as variety. But even with gender alone it was already covered with female Robin. So what good is she anyways? Sure, there is popularity. But there are a crapton of video game characters that were soo popular cause they had a recent game around Smash development, eventually fading away as time passes. So really, there is no special case with Lucina. I heard something along the lines that she was attempted to be a Marth alternate, which doesn't make sense to me since they are naturally different individuals. However, priorities in movesets made it impossible. So then why bring her in? I also heard she was added as a separate character so that those who are not good with Marth can have an easier option to play in that similar playstyle. This is beyond ridiculous. This may sound blunt and harsh, but to me, this is another "aww the game is too hard for you? Let Nintendo hold your hand so they can make things easier for you". Kinda of an ignorant quotation, but I can't find no other way to express how much this Lucina thing bothers me. If people want to play the playstyle of Marth, then learn how to play as Marth! Don't give us a wasted roster slot just because people are too lazy to learn about a specific character. I don't see more-complex playstyle characters like Olimar, Ice Climbers, & Rosalina getting an extra character with a dumbed down physics in their playstyle. So why is it necessary for Lucina?
So yea, overall, here are my rankings of hyped character, personally. Only 5 out of 11 I'm looking forward to while the others disappoint me.
Hyped for in order:
1. Little Mac 2. Villager 3. Wii Fit Trainer 4. Robin 5. Palutena
