| I am still surprised we got Rosalina. She was basically chosen to be playable over Toad, Waluigi, & Bowser Jr.. Those 3 latter characters all having a seniority over her. Toad debuted in 1985 in Super Mario Bros. Waluigi debuted in 2000 in Mario Tennis Bowser Jr. debuted in 2002 in Super Mario Sunshine Rosalina debuted in 2007 in Super Mario Galaxy. Well yea, knowing Sakurai, he probably picked her over the other 3 due to the whole Luma playstyle that she has going for her. I would had still preferred Toad however |

| Rosalina's getting all the love it would seem. 3D World, MK8, and now Smash Bros. Anyways, Fire Flowers, Green Shells, Pokeballs were also shown today. Another thing, anyone know what stage the Rosalina and Luma 3DS Picture might be? I think Battlefield, but it may also be Rainbow Road... |

| Alright, so I will update the OP with the additions to Rosalina/Luma, Green Shell, Pokeball, & Fire Flower.
@DCB: Its hard to tell, but it appears to be Gateway Galaxy (a stage already confirmed). But then again, Mario Galaxy was never featured on the 3DS.

| Yea, but then again, there is something that might be worth noting. Both Gateway Galaxy stage & Rainbow Road from the trailer have similar styles of the sky. However, notice that on the 3DS image that there are 2 things visible from the background. 1. some large planet/platform, though its hard to identify it. 2. something looking like leaves on a tree branch on the foot area of Rosalina. I have my doubts that it is Rainbow Road cause there is nothing but skies & stars in the background so that eliminates evidence #1. Unless that planet/platform we see on the 3DS stage might be part of the Rainbow Road race track. And also, there are no visible plants on Rainbow Road. Yet, Gateway Galaxy does seem to have grass & trees. |

| Pretty sure that 3DS pic is Battlefield.
Also, Rosalina; meh. Looks interesting, doesn't look like someone I'd main. |

| ” Pic of the day. Rosalina and Luma can be right by each other or set farther apart. They're both controlled by the player, so a smash attack can be done from far off. Remote control all the way!”
This is the comment from today's pic concerning Rosalina. |

| Those of you so disappointed about Rosalina,
Do you think Sakurai would really reveal ALL the Mario characters, and not leave any secret? I feel like there's at least one more, which he will probably not reveal along with whomever else is secret. |

Well if we're counting DK, then we still have yet to see Diddy, Yoshi and Wario, I doubt any of those will be left out of the mix. |

| I'm going to guess none of those guys will be secret either.
Honestly I think Waluigi still has a chance, or whomever else it might be.
If Waluigi gets in, I feel like Sakurai might classify him as a Wario character for some reason. |

| While Wario is a spin-off character, I don't think you can class Waluigi as one, given that he's never actually appeared in a Wario game in any way. |

| That's not fully true, he did have a Cameo appearance in WarioWare Smooth Moves in one of the games. http://wario.wikia.com/wiki/File:WaluigiInSmoothMoves.jpg
There is the chance that that was a taller thinner Wario (since the mustache is Warios) I doubt thats what it was. |

| Yeah but by that definition we could have tons of characters as Wario reps, thanks to 9-Volt and 18-Volt, just from about 2 minutes of footage I just watched I got Mario, Luigi, Link, LoZ Fairy, Samus, Metroid, Game and Watch, Red Koopa, Green Koopa and Bullet Bill. |

| Waluigi is a lot more tied to Wario than all of those things.
Sakurai may do it anyway just because, who knows.
Whatever a case is I think theres still one last Mario character (DK Yoshi and Wario characters not counting) |

Nope. I honestly would be fine with Cranky before Dixie and K. Rool as well. - GingerBirkin wrote:

There is the chance that that was a taller thinner Wario (since the mustache is Warios) I doubt thats what it was. It's not Waluigi. All of those figures are Wario caricatures. That being said, Sakurai could still easily make up a "WarioWare" Waluigi to keep Wario's partner in mischief tied to him like you said. |

| "Pic of the day. A Luma becomes a star. Lumas are tough, but can also be blown away. Luckily, there's an infinite number of them."
So it seems that unlike Ice Climbers and more like Olimar, Rosalina can regenerate her Luma at will. |

False, even though he's a big Nintendo person, he still needs to ask permission to use any of the characters in the game with the exception being any characters created by himself. In fact, Waluigi was even considered a Mario character in the trophy section of Brawl. |

Still RosaLuma is cool I guess. With the music it would've made a lot more sense for a new Kirby Air Ride, but that didn't happen. |

In fact, Waluigi was even considered a Mario character in the trophy section of Brawl. He created a demonic version of Bowser and had a Wind Waker version of Sheik as an "if there's time" clone addition planned. Giving Waluigi an original design just so he is aesthetically similar to Wario isn't that big of a deal. Hell, many of the Smash characters have original designs not present in any of their games. |

Like Twilight Princess stylized Sheik and not exactly cell shaded Toon Link. |

| Her completely unique playstyle makes her a welcome addition in my book. She's got some similarities to Mewtwo and Zelda too, makes me wonder what could change with them in the game (assuming Mewtwo is returning). |
