I have a feeling that with such quick progress, we might be seeing SSB4 in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2014 the earliest. And then something goes wrong and the game gets pushed to Spring 2015. |

| Why is it that every character that gets announced always leads to a massive debate? |

I honestly wouldn't mind a delay if its to polish up or add anything. Afterall, this is going to be the game we will play until next gen console, which is probably another 5 - 7 years. |

Looks like we won't have much to discuss for the next couple of weeks. |

But yea, we honestly can't complain about today's news. Sakurai has been working on this game for a year and a half now, 7 days a week I read. He definitely deserves a short break. Not to mention that we got 2 new characters, 1 new stage, 1 new assist trophy all in a 1 week period. |

| From the article, it sounds like Bowser is being made stronger, but slower.
Which would be a very big nerf.
I really hope I'm just reading that wrong. |

| ^ It does sound kind of like that. But then, he also has a lot of new attacks so we'll see what happens. I don't trust Sakurai to make a balanced cast anyway, i'm just interested in seeing who becomes the top tier. |

Seems like it, though I don't think anybody was doubting his inclusion. |

| I guess another thing Sakurai has to worry about is items, since they can also affect how balanced a character is. Bowser with a Pitfall is a lot more dangerous than Sonic with one, for example. |

Items fit in the party game side of it, so it's not so needed to completely balance that. |

Those guys beat the duck out of you and give you like 100%-300%, not to mention that some can 1 Hit KO you, like Porygon |

| But neither is free-for-all. Sakurai's not just thinking about competitive balance here, he's thinking about balance in every aspect of the game. |

Believe it or not this is actually how we balance crusade as well, not just for competitive 1v1. |

| Great that they'll be back, I love collecting those little buggers. - Sakurai wrote:

Seems there'll be two different sets to collect, one for each console. |

| Zelda got a new Side Smash it seems, so they do appear to be changing her a bit at least. This may mean the Phantom Knight is part of her moveset, but it doesn't confirm it obviously. |
