Even though Zant and Ghirahim were cool, Ganondorf stole the show. The direct was OK but The Dorf is back with Super Saiyan 3 hair.

I agree, I just hope that Smash was working in line with Hyrule Warriors on their Ganondorf design.

Judging from the Link/Zelda designs it's very, very unlikely
I doubt we will see any Hyrule Warriors content in this Smash

No smash character revealed in the direct talking about Hyrule Warriors automatically makes it suck

Im pretty sure August 14 ( Hyrule Warriors Release Date ) they will annonce Ganondorf

This may be nothing so don't count this as fact. But allegedly CoroCoro is reporting a special "broadcast" on the 12th that features every Character and Stage for Smash. I figured if this was true then it would be in the form of a Direct so I posted it here.

CoroCoro actually launches on that date so it would be very last minute, if it's true then we'll probably get an announcement in tomorrows POTD, given that we only have two days.

It should also be noted that the date would be the same as Gamescom, much like what Nintendo did with E3.

Apparently this is something different. The original story was a special insert to the issue, now they're reporting an actual broadcast, probably a Direct.

This is fake. Notice how the account was opened specifically to post that, and that the URL leads to the Hyrule Warriors Direct.

When you look at the real Nintendo Twitter account, there's no mention of a Smash Direct, or any Direct, for Friday.

Probably Shulk, but hell after the Robin/Lucina bombshell I'd expect anybody.

Of course the ultimate hype trailer would be a 3 minute CGI trailer of Mewtwo and Ridley kicking the crap out of each other.

Nah, I mean I want K. Rool as much as the next guy but he wouldn't fit in a trailer with those two. Especially the way I imagine the trailer.

I could see them doing a trailer that starts off with Mewtwo (Cue confirmation card) investigating a derelict laboratory for answers about his birth. He looks around for evidence and in the last glass container he sees there is a Metroid. As he's staring at the Metroid he hears a grumble behind him, he spins around to see Ridley (Cue confirmation card), who roars in his face and they start to fight.

Now that would be a piece of gaming history.

Yeah it's Japan only, just found that out, still wondering if we'll get a new character or not... We probably will, but idk.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we've gotten a character from a direct that wasn't broadcasted worldwide

That's true, but I with the release coming so soon, we'll possibly see a character, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai announces it and broadcasts the character worldwide on Smashbros.com ???

i doubt we are getting a character at this point. whenever there is a japan only direct, its mostly focused on JRPG games that wouldnt sell so great internationally
