Today's update is simply Sakurai explaining that the customization size of Mii Fighters does effect their speed & power.

In all fairness though this is a pretty cool update, this means I'll be able to modify my Mii Fighters even more than I first thought.

We probably won't see another new character till early-mid July.

Anyways, this weeks batches of updates was actually pretty neat! Only one of them felt like filler.
My favorite might be wednesday's because I enjoy playing Balloon Fight on my 3DS, so it now being four player in Smash is gonna be a neat gamemode separate from your basic traditional Smash gameplay if you ever wanna mix things up.

Supposedly a pamphlet from a Japanese magazine, that question mark in the bottom right looks pretty suspicious.

It's a Japanese event to there's no chance of Ridley. I'd say we're looking at either a veteran like Captain Falcon, maybe Mewtwo. If there's a newcomer I think the smart bet would be on Chrom. That's if there's a character at all.

I'll laugh if it is the random character select.

Is this legit? Cause both Pikachu and Zelda look like they were not cropped properly. Plus I wish we had someone to decode the Japanese. We dont need it, but it be nice.

Game Freak has this rule set up where Pikachu's ears must be visible at all times in promotional artwork.
It's the same situation with Disney and Mickey Mouse.

Zelda has nothing wrong.

The text below the question mark tile says "More characters to come!" or something similar (from what I've read). There is no way they would be advertising the random box, CMill.

Well apparently the event ended 45 minutes ago, no sign of a new character or any further info.

Just a Poppant trophy and a new Smash Run enemy.

Well, the Pikachu part anyway; I knew about the Mickey Mouse thing.

So we got another alternate costume, Little Mac's pink sweatshirt.

Which means that we will get model swap costumes that aren't alt genders and that some characters will have more than one alt!!

Best alternate costume so far imo, I was afraid this wasn't going to happen becaue of wireframe mac but we got both

Very happy to see this costume, and the other one confirms that we will get texture swaps aswell rather than palette and model swaps.

I like the other costume too, it's American Flag themed with the red-white-blue patterns.

I think that's how he was in the World Circuit of Punch Out!! for the wii, he changed costume twice, so it's either World Circuit or Major Circuit.

I'm thinking we'll probably get Blonde Mac aswell. As for other alternate costumes, I'm thinking we'll get a Dr. Mario, maybe a Mr. L inspired costume, and possibly a Link Between Worlds based Link outfit. Then again, maybe I'm just being optimistic.

All I really want right now is Roll and Tuxedo Luigi.

Neither of which will happen, so I'll be happy with us getting as many as possible.

None of those are particularly optimistic, Dr. Mario should be a given, Mr. L is the best possible Luigi costume. The only one that is unlikely is LBW Link, even then it's not that unlikely (Though I'd give LBW to Toon Link instead).

You're right, LBW Link would make the most sense as a Toon Link costume.

Not unless Sakurai no longer cares about Dr. Mario chucking Fireballs and/or has no problem with Doc using the F.L.U.D.D.

If Mario gets a new model I see no reason why the fireballs can't too. And honestly I don't think FLUDD would matter much.
