I also agree that babies would be a silly idea, I'd prefer just Yoshi. I think Yoshi's moveset would be more visually appealing if his jabs, tilts and aerials were based off of Riptor from KI. |

That'd be hilarious if one of his palette swaps was that. |

| It'd be nice for Snake to return, but I honestly wouldn't be too upset if he didn't. |

| Personally, seeing someone like Snake not make it while Toon Link & Lucario can return really sucks.

| This is basically the same as SEGA staff saying, "We don't know" or "I'd love Sonic in the next Smash game"!
It doesn't change much. If Snake WAS in, Kojima wouldn't have said he was going to be in. So nothing has really changed in terms of Snake's chances of returning. |

| There's a huge difference between what Sega said and what Kojima said:
Sega: We cannot confirm or deny whether he's coming back, but we think it'd be awesome if he did. Ask Nintendo.
Kojima: I want him back, but I don't think he is going to....Sakurai please bring him back!!!
Of course, I'm paraphrasing, but still. The messages are quite different. |

| If Yoshi is coming today, they're really taking their sweet time with the update.
As for Snake, I don't think that means much either, if anything that means he's more likely than before because it proves Hideo isn't a barrier.
EDIT: No Yoshi, some kind of apartment, I'm so confused xD Does anybody know what the hell that thing is from? The only things that spring to mind are Tomodachi Collection, and Jam With the Band. |

| The Miiverse fansite has it down as Tomodachi, so I guess that's the main guess on it.
I suppose now Yoshi could turn up whenever, the JPN release of New Island isn't out until Summer. |

| Well, how ever disapointing, but I wonder, most months we get 2 characters, so will we get one next week, and the week after that?
Anyways, who is actually planning on getting the New Yoshi's Island. Personally, I can't be bothered, it doesn't seem that exciting to me, and it looks pretty bland. Also I heard the music ain't so fresh. |

| Then there is that Metal Gear game coming out next week as well.
At this point, I'm not expecting anymore Mario characters other than Yoshi & Wario.

| Snake won't be confirmed, Hideo clearly hasn't been contacted over his inclusion. Even if he had, there's no way Nintendo would reveal Snake on the same day as Ground Zeroes because it's out on every console but Nintendo's.
Hopefully there's a character for Mario Golf, it could easily be Yoshi, or it could even be Toad if we're lucky. Toad is in Peach's moveset obviously, but they could do the same as Spirit Tracks or Punch-Out and change Peach's Toad to Toadsworth if both are on the stage. |

Snake has not been deconfirmed. Do you really expet Hideo to say yes or no on this? We are still on a cliffhanger concerning this character. He could just be bullshitting for all we know since he cant give us more details. In the end of the day, we cant say for sure if Snake will make it or not. Mind you that Shadow Moses Island had a song from a MGS game that wasnt featured on Nintendo. Take into consideration also that a reveal on a release date has a benefit despite no future MGS game not coming out on Nintendo. That being that Sakurai/Nintendo would take advantage of the attention the MGS series would get during this upcoming week. And remember, Nintendo doesnt need to advertise Ground Zero, they can readvertise Snake Eater 3D just like how they readvertise Punch Out Wii, which is a generation old compared to Snake Eater which is still relevant in this generation. I doubt that we will get another Mario character. We already have 5 Mario characters from the main series. And then there are spinoffs on the side. As much as I would love Toad, especially over Rosalina, I feel its unrealistic to see more Mario reps at this point I also doubt we will get Yoshi due to Mario Golf release. Sakurai didnt even reveal Yoshi for HIS OWN GAME. I can bet that Yoshi New Island has more hype behind it than Mario Golf, so the former is the obvious choice if you had to reveal Yoshi on a release date. Honestly, if we dont get Snake &/or Yoshi this month, then who could it be? |

| Sakurai should just cut the middle man and include Kojima himself as a character. |

| Someone said this a page or so ago, but it would be great if Snake was actually the quick, stealthy spy he's supposed to be this time round, if he's in at all. |

I didn't mean Snake is deconfirmed, I meant that he won't be confirmed for Ground Zeroes. I do believe however he's not plannet yet given what Kojima said, he can easily dodge that question but he was very blunt with the answer, which makes me think it's the truth. He clearly thinks however there's still time to change it, otherwise he wouldn't have said he'd be still fine with it if it's on the table. |

| Smash Ball confirmed!
Nice to see there won't be some new method, I like the Smash Ball. Strangely he says he hasn't introduced any Final Smashes, despite the fact we've seen at least WFT's and Mac's.
EDIT: Apparently we've seen WFT, Mac and Samus. |

| I don't like the smash ball. Ultimate special attacks should be a meter system like every other fighting game, so the fight still happens instead of "oh look, shiny" and fighting stops to hit the smash ball. |
