| I'm sure the pokemon is a Pokeball. Why would it be a stage hazard on the boxing ring stage (which is not pokemon related in any way) |

| I have no doubt that the Pokemon shown today is a Pokeball.
Xerneas however I can understand why that comes to question. The antlers are only visible with a sky background showing no details of the environment. My belief is that Xerneas is also a Pokeball. The sky looks like its from the Pilotwing stage.

| I really love the attention to detail in all of these items, I mean the bumper basically has screws on the back of it and the smash logo on it is a nice touch. |

| The "Warning Challenger Approaching" banner has been removed from the official site. Another challenger is probably not too far away.
Btw, the new Bumper design is ugly. lol. |

Btw, the new Bumper design is ugly. lol. I personally like the new design, I think it's supposed to be kinda like a circus ball design or something, it really speaks "Bouncy" to me with it's non-existent mouth! Booooooooing!!! |

| Yoshi is probably the next one that's gonna show up. I mean Yoshi's New Island is coming out next week and he never gets any games so it just makes sense to reveal him around this time. |

Nah, Yoshi will be revealed on March 14th, the same date as the release of the game. It's not unlikely, in fact I'd say it's probable that we'll be getting another character on Friday. An obvious character is far more likely, they'll probably leave the surprises for Directs, but I still wish for these two. - Spoiler:

| Bring me up to speed, guys.
Why are we assuming a character's coming on Friday? Or any point before the 14th for that matter? |

| The "Challenger Approaching" sign is removed, to my knowledge this means ironically that a challenger is approaching.
There's also a very good chance of a character every Friday. |

| There is absolutely no chance we will get a character on a weekly. If it were to go down like that, then we would have the full roster by July - September, months before the actual release date. Not saying I know the release date, but I highly doubt it will be before the summer. I predict a 4th quarter release.

| I'm not sure about the rest, but Diddy and Mac were released with a weeks difference. I'm not saying every week, I'm saying that we have a good chance every week. |

| Remember that DK:Tropical Freeze release date and Punch Out's anniversary was a week apart, assuming the latter was the reason for the reveal. We were just fortunate around mid-late February. We don't have good chances on a weekly basis.
We only have 1/4 of a chance per month. Maybe even 50/50 if we were to continue getting 2 characters per month like it has been for the past 3 months. Lets look at something real quick.
E3 we got 12 characters from the official trailer
September - October we got Peach, Toon Link, & Sonic.
December - January we got Rosalina, Zelda, & King Dedede.
January - February we got Lucario, Little Mac, & Diddy Kong.
Everyone else came on a monthly basis depending on game releases or at random.
So yea, while the chances of characters being revealed may had spiked up, but doesn't mean are chances are high on a weekly. This reveal pace is expected now that we are in 2014, the year the game is expected to release. Not to mention that this momentum will run all the way up to it's release date either. There will come a point, my speculations leading to summertime, that this momentum will die out and we will be back to a 1 month reveal or even 2 months delay is possible.
Now, we are in the month of March. the following characters are a possibility to be revealed.
Based on new release games Yoshi - Yoshi's New Island: March 14th (NA, EU) Snake - Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zero: March 18 -20 (World Wide)
Based on anniversaries Wario - Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3: March 13 (NA)

| I wouldn't count on that Snake one, mainly due to the facts that Ground Zeroes doesn't star Solid Snake, nor is it being released on a Nintendo console. |

There's also a very good chance of a character every Friday. The banner is literally useless as a guide. We've had reveals that came before the banner went down, and we've had reveals that came long after the banner went down. |

Don't forget that LOZ: A Link Between Two Worlds, Kirby Triple Deluxe, & Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze were the influences to the reveal of Zelda, King Dedede, & Diddy Kong in SSB4. Neither one of these characters were the leading characters in their respective games. Also, even though Solid Snake is not the main character in the upcoming game, he is featured non-canon in the game, which keeps him relevant in appearances. So roles in upcoming games doesn't effect Snake, especially with him being the mascot character of the franchise as a whole. Even if Ground Zero is not being released on a Nintendo console, we can't forget that Nintendo had the Snake Eater remake on the 3DS a while back. Just like Sakurai did with Punch Out!! Wii (note that this game is a generation old), he can use Solid Snake to advertise Snake Eater remake (a game that is relevent in this generation.) |

| Oh yeah I'm not doubting that, I'm saying that it's extremely unlikely they'll reveal Snake on the same day as Ground Zeroes. |

| New pic shows off something pretty cool for Mac! Seems like he's got different variations of his Side Smash attack. Neat stuff.
The only time we'll get Snake is if there is a Nintendo Direct airing in the same day. Third-Party characters are big news, even if they're just a returning vet. He'd probably get a tiny trailer of just gameplay like Sonic did in October.
As for predicting the next character to show up, it's gonna have to be Yoshi next week. No doubts about it. |

I did that to his smash attack too! Did... did I do something right...? EDIT: Ok, haha, PH just told me he removed that. Thanks >.> |

| No you didn't lol. Making Little Mac's side smash knockback alternate outside your control each time you use it is not the same at all as having different versions of a smash attack activate purely by your discretion that each have completely different animations and properties.
For those wondering our little Mac side smash is pretty much the same as the down version of SSB4's. A body shot, which delivers a devastating stun effect instead of blasting the opponent away. |

What if (this is the stupidest thing I've every suggested in my life) they confirm Yoshi on account of aMSa's performance in Apex 2014? It's a real spitball, but at the same time, it was the one shining hope Yoshi players have been given since Smash has been competitive. Like I said, it's unlikely, and a bit silly, but what if? |

| I like what Sakurai is doing with Little Mac. He is doing a bit more than I would had imagined.
As for Yoshi, I do expect him next week, especially after having his reveal delayed for almost a year now. I do find it odd however that such an obvious choice was delayed for soo long for the potential sake of advertisement. Who knows, maybe Yoshi has been revamped to have Baby Mario as his sidekick.
Also, I would like to call it now. I'm betting that Yoshi will be revealed next week on March 14th. If there is a Nintendo Direct before the 18th, I bet Snake will be revealed too. In conclusion, Yoshi & Snake are my 2 picks of this month's reveal.

| Well, Sakurai is succeeding with making every new character very unique, amazing. ALSO, I agree, Yoshi better be released next week. I wonder what we're going to see tomorrow, Friday seems like the BIG BANG of updates normally, so lets see |

I'm going to settle on Wario and Yoshi as March reveals. |
