Lyn (Fire Emblem) Discussion: The Enemy! Lyn_he12

"I may look calm—maybe even still. But I'm really very focused. It's part of my daily training with my sword."

I would like to take a moment to talk about a potential Fire Emblem character that could be in Smash Crusade.

Lyn is one of the three main characters from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. She is the first character you meet when you begin the game. She was born in the Sacaen Plains and is the daughter of Hassar and Madelyn. During her years, she grew up happily wandering in the plains with her parents while also learning swordplay during her teenage years. At one point, her parents were killed by bandits thus being the last of her tribe. She wanted to protect her people, but she was so young and the tribe never allowed a woman to fight. After an encounter with the Tactician, she vows to become stronger and avenge her father's death.

Oh, i get it now, what is Blazing Blade?

Ok, here goes. Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade also known as simply Fire Emblem in the US is the 7th installment of the series and was the first game of the franchise to be released outside of Japan due to Marth and Roy appearing in Super Smash Bros. Melee.  It features a prologue storyline designed to introduce newcomers to Fire Emblem gameplay and tactical basics. The overall narrative is a prequel to the events of the previous game, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, which is set twenty years later.
The game is divided into two segments. The first is about Lyn attempting to save her grandfather while the longer second part allows her alongside Eliwood and Hector to go against the sorcerer Nergal.

Why Lyn?

To start things off, she is one of the most recognizable characters of the series with being the first character you meet in the game she comes from. Not to mention the game she comes from was the first to actually go outside of Japan which would be so honorable. In fact, she was ranked number 1 in the Fire Emblem Heroes Cycle 1 in the Women's category with Ike tieing her in the men's category.

How would she fight?

Well, I got a move set to show you how she can fight.

Basic Attacks!:

She will be weilding the Sol Katti

Jab: This is a combo jab. She first hits the opponent with the hilt of her sword. She then does a series of sword swipes that can be combined. She then finishes off with a single stab

Side Tilt: Basically a simple swipe with the Mani Katti. Nothing really special, just a simple swipe.

Up Tilt: Lyn swipes above her with her blade in a similar arc to Marth’s.

Down Tilt: She just crouches and does a simple swipe to the ground. This attack is fast enough to spam with.

Dash Attack: She does a dashing side swing with her Sol Katti in hand. For an effect, she creates a trail of after images of herself.

Smash Attacks!:

Side Smash: This smash attack hits opponents twice automatically. She attacks by using an X-Shaped slash that she does for this Smash attack.

Up Smash: An upwards sword slash that hits in front and above Lyn. You know, a crescent-shaped Smash.

Down Smash: She spins around with the blade. This can hit opponents multiple times.

Aerial Attacks!:

Neutral Air: She swings her blade from front to back, but she swings from back to front again. You know, repetition!

Forward Air: She does a slight propel and delivers a 3 zig-zag slash with the sword in hand.

Back Air: Lyn quickly jabs behind her with the hilt of her sword and then swings the blade itself.

Up Air: Lyn swings her blade horizontally above her.

Down Air: Swipes in a U shape with her sword. Nothing else. You know this is a meter smash if you were to time the attack right.

Throws!:

Grab: Grabs her opponent with one hand

Pummel: She uses the hilt of the sword to hit the opponents

F-Throw: Lyn throws her enemy forward and slashed through them leaving an afterimage in the process.

B-Throw: She vanishes and appears in front of her opponent slashing them at the speed of herself thus leaving after images.

Up-Throw: She tosses her opponent into the air and leaps after them leaving multiple after images thus doing a sword slash to launch them to the skies.

Down Throw: She disappears and reappears above her opponent slashing at them as she dives down leaving afterimages.

Specials!:

Ok, this is my favorite part of any movset I make.

Neutral Special: Rienfleche: Unlike Link's bows, Lyn has a limited amount of arrows as noticed by her damage meter. Her damage meter indicates how many bows does she has in order to make her mark. If she runs out of bows, she must wait until her bows are reloaded automatically. Anyways, Lyn uses the Rienfleche. Unlike Link's bow, you can't charge the bow.  Instead, Lyn takes out a bow and twirls it in her hand, she then pulls back the bow. After releasing the button (she can hold it, but can't charge it), Lyn releases the arrow straight through the air. This can break shields.

Side Special: Sacean Slice: Basically her role as an assist trophy in the official games. Lyn goes on a stance and there will be a little blue square that can indicate how far Lyn can go. Once you release it or if it gets into peak length, Lyn vanishes fastly and reappears with a strong sword slash. It's getting worse when she attacks people from behind when using this move.

Up Special: Acrobat: This is based on one of her attack animation sprites in the GBA game she comes from. Lyn curls up into a ball with the sword sticking out and go into peak height straight upwards. During the moment when she goes up, players have the option to make her crash downwards by pressing the button again regardless of the height.

Down Special: Illusionary Counter: Lyn goes into a parry stance. When the opponent contacts her, she will vanish and you have the moment to input a direction on where you want Lyn to show up. As the direction is being chosen, the 4 illusions of Lyn will go in a defensive position thus circling around the opponent. After picking the direction, Lyn will attack.

Final Smash:

Illusionary Critical Hit: This is based on one of her critical hit animations. Lyn will rush forward so fast that you can't see her and she would be instead be depicted as a little flash of silver effect that is rushing forwards. If she connects, she will attack with 5 rapid slashes. She then finishes it off with her illusions striking the opponents. I'd imagine her saying "What are you looking at?"

Extras:

Taunt:

Lyn (Fire Emblem) Discussion: The Enemy! B21-0510

By holding her blade with both of her hands, she first places her blade in her chest and then sticks it out thus saying "Now I have you!"

Entrance to the stage: Appears on the stage via Warp Staff

Victory theme: Same as Marth's victory theme. Too obvious.

Victory Animation: She does a few slashes and then sheathes her sword while striking a pose. She can be heard saying "As if I'd lose!". Mark the Tactician can be seen with her during the animation.

Lose: Claps for the opponent

Alts:

Default
Sain colors
Kent colors
Florina colors
Dorcas colors
Rath colors
Erk colors
Lucius colors
Matthew colors
Wallace colors (She'll still have her green hair because Wallace is bald)
Ninian colors
Farina colors
