Bubblun (Bub) on the right and Bobblun (Bob) on the left
Bubble Bobble is an arcade game by Taito, first released in 1986 and later ported to numerous home computers and game consoles. The game, starring the twin Bubble Dragons Bub and Bob, is an action-platform game in which players travel through one hundred different stages, blowing and bursting bubbles, dodging enemies and collecting a variety of items. The game became very popular and led to a long series of sequels and spin-offs. The main goal of the game is to rescue Bub and Bob's girlfriends from the Cave of Monsters. It is an early example of a game with multiple endings, which depend on the player's performance and discovery of secrets.
Unlike ice climbers can separate the two characters, while the player controls a dragon the other is controlled by ai who tried to help the player, eventhough it can attack individually they can combine their attacks

1) As ice climber, I think a 2nd character could be like them, and the attacks are not the same, so there are different anyway.
2) Selectable, either control Bub or Bob, took control of the other in the place where he is in the level, as explained in the attack Down Special Switch, and maybe can make different special attacks between Bub & Bob (Bub Bob fire and water attack for example)
3) Bub and Bob are inseparable, they hold hands and attack are the combination of the two

Press and hold button to capture an enemy in a bubble
If you do not hold the button, the bubble will cause small damage
If you hold too long, Bub will inflate and float, the bubble will spread not cause any damage ,
Finally if you let go in time, (I would say between 2 and 4 seconds) will enclose the bubble and capture the enemy
Hitting the bubble and the enemy will come out with damage, and the food comes out, and give the energy to the player who will pick up
Side Special
Create a water bubble, jumps in and pop it, and surfing on the water, jump up to exit the wave, a bit like Villagers with its special side
Up Special
Bub & Bob created a giant bubble like the intro, and rises to top, and when the bubble slap, Bub & Bob opens an umbrella to slow their fall. ,
Or jump on Bubble
Down Special
If Bob & Bub play like ice climber, the attack will tornado bubble, when the bubble pop, a small tornado going both side and is high up after a short time
If not, I have an idea to switch, you control Bub or Bob, when you press Down Special (only when you been on the ground), Bub go in background, and you control Bob taking the position where it was stayed (like a teleportation)
Maybe replace panel by button ==> &

Hit an enemy with a lightning bubble in forward, and sends the lightning in back
Up Smash
Bub & Bob, or only one created a musical bubble, and the notes rise in top, a bit like the Lucas's Up Smash

Bubblun in Mugen idea, Bub (and Bob) becomes panic and bubbles appear from the bottom to the top level (like in puzzle bubble, when we receives bubbles from the enemy), follow Bub and hits enemies in the passage. This attack is a little like a hammer and some final smash as Crash, I think damage should be less important in view of the bubbles go further.
CJ idea, a bubble launcher (like Puzzle Bubble) appears at the bottom of the level, and you can head from left to right and shoot the enemies.

A couple questions:
- What makes Bub/Bob unique? It looks as if they are simply another pair like Ice Climbers and thus don't bring anything unique to the table. - What does switching do (down special)? If you're really controlling one and the 2nd one doesn't matter, then it's not like Ice Climbers at all (and would instead be like some people's idea for Diddy/Dixie).
Bub and Bob are fairly well-known so they probably deserve some kind of recognition, but I'm not sure this is the best way to go about it. I feel like we can look at Bust a Move for inspiration, considering their appearance there.

Also, this depiction of the bubble is very simplistic, I feel. Whereas in your animation it simply damages the opponent, in the original game it trapped opponents, you then had to collide with it to kill the enemy AND you could perpetually jump onto the bubble if you wished to. It can simply be made FAR more interesting than just a damaging move.
For side special, we could use that power-up from the original game that caused the player to slide across the ground in a light blue beam and kill enemies that made contact. For example if Bub/Bod uses the move while in contact with the side wall of FD, he should scale it up and continue moving.Of course, in the original game, that power-up always went downwards, but I think we could change that for crusade.
For the up special, we could have Bub/Bob go through a gap between 2 blocks (blocks like those in his levels) and appear from another gap between 2 similar blocks, symbolizing the fact that in the original game, if you fell to the bottom you appeared at the top.

I may have mentioned it back in the character poll thread for them, but I have a high appreciation for these two. The moveset is looking pretty solid too, not to mention this could be Taito's rep.

I have some new ideas,
Specials
Down Special (Switch Bub/Bob) I'm not sure but I thought an original idea, in the beginning of game you control Bub, and Bob is in background with a panel, or sitting with a button as in the game ==> & When you use the Special Down (only if you are on the floor), Bob becomes playable, and Bub going in background.
For Side Special, I will say Bub launches fire bubble that remains on the ground 2 or 3 seconds, Bob and water bubble that slides along the ground.
Side Special:

Bob
Up Special Bub or Bob uses a giant bubbe
Up Special:
And when we fall
And for the neutral special, I would say as CJ, trapped as in Yoshi Egg

Smash
Maybe use the electric bubble and music for some smash
I will say Ssmash uses Electric Bubble
Side Smash:
And Up smash use the Puzzle Bubble launcher games and lead the left or right while charging.
And for the final smash, good idea, I also thought of invoking and controlling "Baron von blubba" ==>

New originals ideas by Coshi Dragonite , I find the idea of surfing and water up to the smash musical notes rather good

And I think for the neutral Special, it would be better that we should charged the bubble to capture enemie, otherwise it would be too easy to capture as simply pulling...
Here is my idea, without loading Special, hit slightly enemy :
Special with load (I think two seconds), the enemy is captured for a few seconds :
And maybe, if you slams the bubble, the food comes out and gives energy to the one who picks up :
