Ryu got combos?

Yep.
You can also do some cool stuff by cancelling during the multi-hits of an EX Tatsu, or before the second hit of EX Shoryuken. Also remember that you can run cancel the startup of the focus punch before the punch actually comes out. I find Dash attack and Nair are also great combo starters, and Dthrow as a tech chase starter is pretty good.

Yeah, DThrow to set up the tech chase, then SH Tatsu to punish. That yields a lot of damage and isn't too difficult to do.

I like Fair --> Up Tilt, although you can only reliably perform it on large characters.

Fair -> up tilt? Are you sure you dont mean Nair? Fair knocks really far, it's actually a kill move.

It's funny how Ryu's often thought of as a "footsies" character in SF, but here he's pretty strong at close range but has meh zoning and spacing.

I like Nair -> F.Throw -> EX Hadouken. It actually works if you throw it fast enough and it's pretty humiliating.

It's possible on Bowser, 0%, if you perform it just before you land. It's not a true combo though.

Ohh ok. Nair up tilt would work at any percent on anyone, but fair does more damage so yeah in those situations it might be a better choice.

Infinite combo for Ryu? I'm not totally sure since you might be able to DI to make this harder to do, but otherwise this is as close to an infinite as I have seen so far in this game.

Looks like it if you ask me, but as you said, maybe DI solves that

At the very least, ASDI (and for the more advanced, especially SDI) should get away from this really easily. For the public's awareness though, it's worth a mention that Ryu is being touched up in various ways to prevent dumb combos and loops while retaining his unique and interesting combos.

Could you perhaps name off a few combos that will no longer be executable? That way we can work those habits out of our playstyles before they change. I'd request this for a good number of characters, but because Ryu is pretty combo-heavy, I thought he'd be a good starting place.

Nair will have knockback, albeit low with little to no scaling. Late nair should still barely have kb, but that may change. Basically, you might have to actually step forward after a nair to get a job, or at least have had full forward momentum. Air side b should get a similar treatment and lowered stun. Im also going to have a heavy look into down B and possible jab cancel loops.

Looks like Ryu finally got into Smash 4. And his Crusade moveset is surprisingly close...

Let me just say that for once I am VERY thankful nobody ignorantly came here demanding us to change Ryu to fit his iteration in Smash 4. Thank you.

Hey guys, I figured that since Ryu got into Smash 4 as DLC, I think it'd be a good idea to change Ryu in Crusade to match Ryu in SSB4 as close as possible.

actually, the only thing Ryu needs is a new victory theme. Not only is it NOT the one from Smash 4, the one in Crusade is godawful and doesn't even RESEMBLE anything out of Street Fighter, and that's just bad. And while we're at it, please give Captain Falcon his old victory theme back. It's a lot more memorable than...whatever the hell Captain Falcon's Crusade victory theme is.

Oh right, it's actually the beginning of the SF x Tekken Street Fighter-side victory theme. Yeah, honestly, I think it should be the thing I linked above.

Okay, now seriously: What is it with people and missing my point? What I said is that Ryu's victory theme in Crusade is ont the one linked Falcon8r. And now that I found out where Ryu's Victory theme in Crusade came from, I now haven even less of a reason to like it. Why the hell would Ryu have something from that steaming pile of goatpuke called Street Fighter x Tekken as his victory theme?! Does something like quality control even exist? Oh wait, it doesn't, because if it would have existed, then the awful ZSS and Krystal sprites would have never existed.

First of, you're mad because the Dev team didn't include some victory theme. Seriously, if you don't like it you can easily replace it yourself. Also, chill out bro. They'll get a resprite when the time comes. I think the Dev team knows exactly what they're doing.

Yes, I can easily replace it. However, I want the replacement to be official, and that's where the problem lies. Also, the main problem about Ryu's current victory theme is that it's from Street Fighter x Tekken, and not a real Street Fighter game. It's as if I would make Klonoa a playable character in Smash Bros and give him as a victory theme a small part of Brave New World from Namco x Capcom.
