| Alright, since Mp3 Toaster created a topic that will eventually keep track of all suggested characters' votes I just want to confirm two members' votes for Jim. Smash King and Roy, although you two contributed A LOT to Jim's move set ideas there is no 100% confirmation that you two support Jim. So the obvious question is: Do you guys support Earthworm Jim?
Also, sorry for the bump and double post but I feel the above question is fairly important. |

| In case it hasn't been made clear at this point, I fully support this character for Crusade. One of the more interesting franchises during the 90's that became surprisingly popular. |

Thanks for clearing that up, SK! On a side note, would you guys consider Alucard, the OP before I took over this thread, a supporter of Jim? If so, that makes it 16 supporters. If not, one less than that. SK, could you please update the OP with the support list below: - Support List (18):

Which game should we get his voice from Great work indeed, Blademaster! Hmm... I think the Sega CD version has the best voice because it captures Jim's Southern accent better than the HD version for Xbox. Would it be strange if we used voices from several games, though? Edit: Also, thanks for the support Roy! |

| It's a good thing I checked this out before making my own thread...XD But yes, Earthworm Jim gets my support, and is in fact one of the three characters I am working on my own time... Here's some samples: - Stance - Waiting Animation (wait for stance to loop 10 or so times, then this happens...) - Main Jab(s) The grab may be tricky (since I intend to use his worm whip for it), but if anyone whose good at spriting is willing to lend a hand, I'll accept. PS: Sorry if I bumped this, but...Yeah. |

| Bumping threads is fine for suggestion threads.
I don't think the devs are going to use those sprites, but it's the thought that counts. |

| Well, first of all, they're a bit rough in how they're animated. Notice how Jim doesn't move when he punches? Look at some of the other characters in the game, most of them are a bit more animated.
And secondly, they'd probably just make their own anyway. |

And secondly, they'd probably just make their own anyway. Touche on that second note. But still, the game's sprites are very detailed and animated, so they're PRETTY HARD to edit when you see it from my point of view. But you're right on the fact they'd probably make a fresh sprite sheet. Still, I'm gonna try to finish my moveset first and see what they have to say in the long run... EDIT: Taking OmegaSteve's advice, I decided to liven up the first two attack animations in the leg department. Not sure if it's an improvement or DE-provment, though. Let me know. I also have his down attack: Extend-O Arm! This wasn't in any of the games, but as we all know, Jim's suit has tons of wacky features. Heck, in the show, it made musical gelatin! EDIT #2: Straight out of Earthworm Jim 3D..."PORK BOARDING!!" Should this be his running attack or side special? |

Should this be his running attack or side special? That Extend-O arm move is actually in one of Jim's games...well sort of. In the intro of the SEGA CD version of Earthworm Jim Special Edition, you can see Jim launching his hand forward and winding it back up again. In my moveset above I had him use it in his forward throw.
At one point I also thought of using the Pig riding move in his dash attack but Smash King came up with the bouncing pad from Puppy Love (EWJ2). I decided to go with that instead. I forgot about the stuff Jim does in the intro to Special Edition, and you're right! As for the Marshmellow 'o Love (yes, that's what it's called), that IS a good move idea! Maybe I'll utilize it in my moveset as the side special! It could even bounce back projectiles! Don't worry, I'll give you credit for it! EDIT: His tilt attack and up attack have been created! EDIT #2: ...And so have his walking and running animations. The walking ones are edited to mirror that of his walk cycle in "Earthworm Jim 3D". |

Well, we'll just have to wait for one to come along here and see what they say. If they want me to stop, I will. In the meantime, here's the up smash attack: For this move, Jim tosses one of his enemies, Bob The Killer Goldfish, into the air. If it collides with an enemy, it'll hurt them. If it collides with the ground, the last animation happens. |

| I mean it's cool you're doing it and all, don't let me stop you because I'm sure it's going to bring in more supporters, but we don't exactly take outside help anymore.
We also definitely will not be using ripped sprites if Earthworm Jim makes the roster. |

We also definitely will not be using ripped sprites if Earthworm Jim makes the roster. Fair enough. You guys are very talented people, I'm sure you could make a sprite sheet of Jim should you decide to put him in. I'll continue on with these animations, though. It's nifty to what others have in mind for this character (TaXMaN, for instance, has a different moveset for what I have in mind for Jim...). And who knows? Maybe one idea will stick around if Jim makes it in... Only time will tell... |

Thanks. Every bit helps. Better update that list, TaX! XD Anyway, Most of you are probably wondering what happened to the moveset I was making. Well, Spooks said they'd make their own if Jim was gonna be included, anyway, so...I kinda felt there was no point to continue. HOWEVER, I AM working on a sprite sheet full of the animations I WOULD'VE used, so look forward to that in the future. |
