Yeah, because Sonic is totally in need of more stages than Kirby, Metroid, and Star Fox.

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago, but wanted to see if time will break the tie.

But its obvious that we are in a seesaw (is that how you spell it? lol) situation.

So I will start this. A side poll for 6 stages. I will close it once we get at least 20 votes

The issue with this request is that we have a "Numbered Stage Poll" for that.

Also, 12 out of 18 people had voted for "5 stages", so it would be pointless to hold a decreased stage poll when the original "Numbered Stage Poll" had 5 win with a landslide.
