Nu-13 (BlazBlue) Discussion: Awakening the Chaos 1655414-nu_13

Background:
Nu-13 is the 13th Murokomo Unit and also goes by the alias "Sword of Hades". She was programmed to terminate anyone she deems as hostile subjects that came near the Gate. Nu -No.13- is also shown to have a split personality, split between an emotionless girl when around others, and a yandere when around Ragna the Bloodedge, though this may be how she was programmed to act. One personality is revealed in her Arcade Mode ending in Calamity Trigger, that of a lonely Saya that just wants to be with her brother again. Nu takes Ragna to the Cauldron by force Nu -No.13- wants to absorb Ragna and have him join her in destroying the world, because she, too, possesses a piece of a creature known as the Black Beast. When Ragna refuses to join her, she decides to take him by force. She was made as a replica of Saya, Ragna's sister. They seem to share some of Saya's memories, though nothing congruous. In the true ending, she tries to merge with Ragna by falling with him into the Cauldron. However, Noel Vermilion thwarted her efforts and saved Ragna's life. Nu dies after falling back into the Cauldron and failing to fuse with Ragna.

Playstyle:
Nu is a very lethal combatant on the battlefield. As a Murakumo unit, Nu boasts abnormal fighting abilities. Her Drive ability, Sword Summoner comes in the form of controlling the very fabric of space. She can alter gravity, open up rifts, teleport, fly and summon swords to wipe out her opponents with ease. In combat, it is not uncommon to see a flurry of swords materializing out of thin air and disappearing just as quickly, flying and attacking rapidly from many angles at once. Nu was seen as the perfect fighter due to her excellent ranged and close-quarters combat, and her crazy durability. Her downsides would be that she is a lightweight and is a fast faller.

Why Nu-13 over Ragna?
Ragna isn't a very unique character in fighting games aside from his ability to leach life. His fighting style involves using a buster sword and life leaching, which wouldn't translate very well into Smash. Nu has a very unique fighting style that utilizes both long-ranged and close-ranged combat. Her personality, when shown, is more interesting than Ragna's hotheadedness and very short temper.

Stats:
Height Class: A bit shorter than Ryu
Weight Class: As light as Ness.
Running Speed: About as fast as Fox
Walking Speed: As fast as Bowser's
Grab Range: Same as Ryu's
Falling Speed: About the same as Falcon's

STANDARDS

Jab Combo: Hits her opponent with the small blade on her forearm, then does a scissor kick afterwards. Last of scissor kick has high hit stun and medium vertical knockback.

Side Tilt: Nu-13 takes the blades on her back and slams them down onto her opponent one after the other. Minuscule damage and 1 second of start up, but good horizontal knockback if all hits connect.

Down Tilt: Nu slides the blades on her back under her opponent. Minuscule damage and knockback, but has very low ending lag.

Up Tilt: Nu slides the blades on her back above her opponent enough that they'll hit them. Minuscule damage and decent knockback, but has very low ending lag.

AERIALS:

Up Air: Nu spins her blades around her in a full circle motion. Does rapid damage, but little knockback.

Down Air: She shoots the blades on her back down below her. Does rapid damage, but little knockback.

Forward Air: Nu spins the blades to her sides. Does rapid damage, but little knockback.

Back Air: Nu spins a crescent shaped blade behind her that meteors on start up. Otherwise, does as much damage and knockback as Lucas's Back Air.

Neutral Air: Nu punches the air with her arm. Almost no lag, but damage is miniscule. It can be canceled into any of her moves.

SMASH ATTACKS:

Side Smash: Nu opens up a portal and multiple swords come flying around with as much range as Toon Links grab range. Final hit does good knockback. Fully charge this and it becomes her Legacy Edge super, which covers half of Final Destination. High ending lag on both variants.

Down Smash: Nu takes a second then slams a medium sized sword down. Causes great damage and knockback, but has high ending lag. Fully charged it becomes her Calamity Sword super which is an instant meteor.

Up Smash: Nu raises her arm up and swords coming rising up from the ground in front of her. High vertical knockback and medium damage.

THROWS

Up Throw: Nu holds her opponent above her and two of the blades on her back stab into her opponent. Medium knockback, low damage.

Forward Throw: Nu picks up her appoint and stabs them with one of the blades on her back. Does set average knockback and low damage.

Back Throw: Nu knees her opponent and they fall down. Large hit stun, but damage is very low and knockback is miniscule.

Down Throw: Nu puts her legs together and slams them down onto end opponent. Does set average knockback and low damage.

SPECIALS:

Up Special: Crescent Saber. Nu spins around up into the air a bit and a small crescent shaped sword appears in front of her. Strong meteor at start up. Average damage and low knockback.

Neutral Special: Sword Summoner. Nu-13 summons a sword from thin air. Where they come out can be changed the movement controls.

Side Special: Sickle Storm. A large blade covering all of Final Destination rolls across the ground. Unblockable, medium damage and knockback, but large start up and end lag.

Down Special: Gravity Field. Nu creates a sort of portal that slows down opponent's that go in it. Distance can be changed depending on how long the button is held.

Final Smash: Sword of Destruction. Gaining invincibility on start up, this is a grab that has the same range as her normal grab. Her opponent gets trapped in a barrier of 8 light beams surrounding them, then a giant sword comes down and instant kills the opponent. If she doesn't grab anyone, the attack fails.

MISC:

Get up Attack: Nu shoots two short swords to her sides. Small damage and small knockback.

Edge Attack: Nu stabs in front of her with her arm blade, doing small damage and small knockback.

I hope you guys like what I did with Nu for Crusade!

Sorry, nope, no support at all.

The thing is you are suggesting her literally because you feel she'd have more of a unique moveset over Ragna. That doesn't matter much if Ragna is superior in every other aspect.

Nu-13 is also a supporting character most have never heard of; Ragna is the main character, and decently popular to non-Blazblue fans.

Also, Side Special is SERIOUSLY OP and I do not want that kind of move in Crusade at all. An unblockable attack the size of Final Destination. Read over that and decide if that's a Final Smash or Side Special.

Down Special isn't super unique either, it basically just slows enemies which isn't helpful in the grand scheme of battle.

Also, how exactly would an Up Special meteor?

It's not a bad moveset, it's just kinda flawed tbh. It's also kinda all over the place, you have summoning a sword, then you have the humongous side special, then you have the Meta Knight-like up special, it's just very wild.

Also, most of her moveset seems to CONSIST of swords...but Ragna being swords-focused is a problem?

And personality shouldn't block a character from getting into Smash. Infact I'm inclined to say Ragna has a better one then Nu-13, who is, from all I can tell, a pretty mean girl.

I'm sorry, but no support.

Now that you mention it, Side Special does need some changes. I did try to make it as close to her BlazBlue version. I might just make it a shield damage move and not make it cover all of FD. Her Down Special is like Petey's Neutral special. Actually, I think Petey is the only character than can slow down opponents. As for her move set being mainly swords that's something I can't change due to how Nu herself works. I probably should've said this about Ragna: It's his life leaching gimmick I have problems with. In Smash that would be kind of busted, and it would be hard to find a good amount to life leach without utterly ruining his gimmick.

Thanks for the feedback by the way ^_^

I think either Ragna or Hazama would be more fitting Blaze-Blue reps than Nu.

I was interested at first, but I cared less the more I read it. Sorry, I would rather see the characters I mentioned above.

I'm deleting this topic over thinking some things over. I may try my hands at Ragna. Plus I've had a change in views of him.

I'll have Ragna before Nu, and I wouldn't even campaign for Ragna in my wildest dreams. And BlazBlue used to be my favourite game, too.
