Aside from that, Xenoblade wasn't designed as a successor; it was initially titled "Monado: Beginning of the World" and later changed to "Xenoblade" to honor the game's director, who had directed the Xeno franchise.
It has no connection otherwise.

Ok I will say that I want/expect an estimated release date. That's the one thing I really want. The rest of the direct could be spent talking about the brand new physics for the crate items and I'd be pretty happy. I know I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment, but I'm gonna hope.

Do what I do: expect nothing good, and then be pleasantly surprised when something good is revealed instead. Or nothing good is revealed anyway, so then be satisfied that you predicted how it would go successfully. Either way you win by setting you expectations low.

3DS Direct tomorrow

Ooh a Third Party Special?

That sounds pretty interesting. It'll be good to see the 3DS getting some proper support from third parties.

It seems it's JPN only but I see no reason you can't watch it from the Japanese Nintendo site.

I wonder. If it is 3rd party related, I'm hoping for a Snake reveal for SSB4, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high as much as I want to believe that.

That's really the only thing that would make sense for Smash, it's possible but I'd say 20% chance at best.

I think we're done with third-party now. We have enough for a 4-Man Brawl with Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man and Mega Man, I don't think we need another.

Well, considering that Smash is first party, it wouldn't make that much sense even if it was a third party reveal.

This one is focused on Hyrule Warriors, so any chance of a Smash character would be in somebody like Ganondorf.

Considering it is focused on Hyrule Warriors, just like how that other direct was focused on third party titles, I don't think there is any chance of a Smash character being revealed in the direct nor on the same day as the direct.

I doubt a character, because it'd bring the hype away from Hyrule Warriors, which would be the opposite of what they want to do. Although, I am pretty excited for this direct, Hyrule Warriors looks amazing.

I agree with Bacon here.

We never got a Smash character on a software-exclusive Direct besides the Smash Direct itself. Everytime we got a Smash character at a Direct was either a Smash Direct or a general Direct.

I checked out the Hyrule Warriors Direct.

I am kinda disappointed with 2 things.

1. Lack of Majora Mask playable and other none mainstream Zelda titles so far (handhelds, retro, etc)

2. Multiplayer seems limited as well as lack of Online mode or options.

Everything else seems fine. Overall, I feel the game doesn't have enough variety of representation and or online/multiplayer features for me to consider buying this game. Perhaps after the price drop few years from now for the sake of collection purposes. Not that its a bad game, but the limitations is not worth $60 for me.

we knew about these things previously but yes i can agree they are a little disappointing
