Waiting For Crusade

Does anyone know whats up with the crusade team. I feel like we wont be seeing the next demo release until like mid to late next year. I even applied for a spriting position and balance position like a month and a half ago. I waited like 2 weeks after applying and messaged the their facebook page. They said to be patient, they havent gotten to my application yet and they would respond when they did. I never got a response. I feel like the game is in a hiatus state where its not moving in development

In the meantime, anyone wanting something to fill your gap while you wait. SSF2 just dropped their beta and its amazing. So theres that. Seriously though, their native GC control and falco are amazing.

You aren't the first (and probably not the last) person to ask about development. They are actively working on the game but as said in the latest dev blog they aren't doing anything noteworthy right now. The next build WILL come just be patient.

Patience is a virtue

The biggest hurdle a lot of these guys run into is that these games take years before they see a full-featured release, and these guys typically start while they're in high school and they more or less have enough free time to do this. But now, ten years later, basically everybody still with the project is at least in their mid-twenties and has real life they need to focus on, possibly even families of their own.

It took 3 years for the SSF2 dev team to release Beta after 0.9b, and it's incredibly likely the next release will take almost as long. I haven't played the game much since 0.7 was released, but even so, I'm impressed the project hasn't disbanded. They're dedication is astounding after 10 years of doing this for free.

I hold similar praise for the Crusade team as well, even considering Smash King had to leave because of real life. I'm perfectly fine waiting.

For everyone saying to be patient. I am patient. I was stating that Im fairly certain that the game is in a hiatus state where probably next to nothing is being done. They dont respond to social media, they posted up the link for applications but havent even reviewed them yet. These are bad signs. Im hoping that things are going but Im saying that it is very likely that the game has put up the brakes. The last meaningful update was august 2015. We havent had anything big since besides doc mario. Even testers like Traweezie havent uploaded gameplay or streamed SSBC in months.

Or the game's got nothing spectacular to show, or they're saving up for a huge dump

I havent seen a shred of evidence that would support that they are working on anything.

Im just discovering the game and im impressed with it. However, after seeing these posts and seeing that it hasnt been updated in a while.. Im hoping the newest patch will release soon. As long as it doesnt become a Card Sagas Wars..

Welcome to the struggle of everyone who follows Mega Man X: Corrupted's development. That thing's been in the works for almost as long as SSF2.

The wait keeps me up every night longer than the cold finality of death.

I willl say this. Since nothing "noteworthy" is being worked on, that may mean Shantae is done (moveset wise, not mostly bug free ready for the public)

Shantae DID get a dev blog and she was featured in the menu revamp (afair). I cant say I have seen a video of her though.

Can we get a link to these streams? I really want to see Shantae in action.
