Shantae Series

Thread to discuss the Shantae series of games.

Anywho, I just got my backer copy of Shantae 1/2 Genie hero, and it's really fantastic so far. The controls are right, the characters and animations are fluid and fun/cute, and the music is awesome and full of energy.

Those are my early impressions, let's see if it keeps the momentum.

I wanna play Pirate's Curse but I'm broke

I've played a bit of Pirate's Curse, it was pretty good (from the 2 levels I've played thus far). My only problem is that I feel like the game should have an auto save (I died and had to fight a boss again which wasn't very fun) and I feel like I get lost a lot. I often times had no idea where to go to progress which had me going in circles only to find out I was supposed to go through a thing that I thought was a wall.

I have the Wii U version. Was beginning the final boss battle and when they shot a projectile towards the wall and the game crashed.

I was sad.

Im broke so im currently playing Shantae GBC on an emulator

So I got HGH, it was great, but no dungeons or a large, connected world map
