Greninja [Pokémon] Discussion

Discuss whether or not you think Greninja should be added to Super Smash Bros. Crusade.

Haven't played Smash 4 yet as I don't have a Wii U nor 3DS.

I support, he brings a cool fighting style and has unique techniques.

Greninja is one of the few good things about X/Y, though.

I support the sneaky frog too. Might want to come with a different effect for the Side B though since it might be too hard to see the shadow moving around before the attack. Another suggestion i have involves his water moves (FSmash, DSmash, USmash, FAir) possibly gaining reach (Going from close range to Shulk range) the more you charge them referencing the way water shuriken also grows when the button is held.

Sure. Why not. I like what Athorment's suggested to change.

Correct me if I am wrong, but with Greninja in, we would have every generation (except 3rd) playable.
1st: Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Jigglypuff
2nd: Pichu
3rd: N/A
4th: Lucario
5th: Snivy
6th: Greninja (Maybe?)

As much as I am terrible with Greninja, I know it's just my playstyle that makes me uncomfortable with him, and not his actual design. That said, I think his only move that does not translate well to 2D is Shadow Sneak. Everything else is fine as is. Greninja has my support as the Gen 6 rep.

The reason why I'm not too keen on Athorment's idea is that it's a gimmick that doesn't really benefit Greninja. In comparison to Smash 4's Greninja, where you never have to worry about the range of his moves because they are always consistent; no charging required. A gimmick that subtracts is usually not a great gimmick. That's just my opinion, though.
