In all seriousness, this is superb. As usual. Great job, Shaq. You've done a fellow MGS lover proud. Love the specials. Love the whole thing. Enormous support.
I think the costume should be either default Phantom Pain or Metal Gear/Guns of the Patriots, with his cliche-but-nonetheless-sinister long coat. Or maybe a combination of the two. Like, he has the coat, but one sleeve is rolled up to show off the Bionic Arm, and under the coat he has his green outfit. I feel like tan and green are Big Boss' main colors, like how grey and blue are Solid Snake's. Plus, they help distinguish him (along with the arm and eye-patch).
Also, Trinitro, Big Boss is (sort of) the main antagonist of the franchise. Or, at least, his corrupted ideology is. Revolver Ocelot is arguably the main antagonist, since he was a villain in MGS, MGS 2, and MGS 4, and is possibly THE most recurring character. But I digress. Big Boss is definitely the driving antagonistic force to Solid Snake's heroism. The rival would probably be Grey Fox. Thank you Ottsel. I just feel that his MGS4 appearance is by far too spoilerific and not really what I think he'd wear to a battle, to be honest. Thing is we don't even need a rival triangle like Trinitro thinks, otherwise show me who the rival for Ristar is gonna be - Naughty Ottsel wrote:

I don't think you can compare a big franchise like Metal Gear, with a big amount of important and memorable characters, with a single-game franchise like Ristar, where the only memorable character was, well, Ristar (and even Ristar being memorable is highly debatable, but that's not the point here). |

| PH gave a pretty darn good example as to why pattern aren't always the best. And just because a character is an alt doesn't mean they aren't taking up roster space, it's still a full character. If you mean a physical square, sure, but that isn't an issue yet. - thebuddyadrian wrote:

I don't think you can compare a big franchise like Metal Gear, with a big amount of important and memorable characters, with a single-game franchise like Ristar, where the only memorable character was, well, Ristar (and even Ristar being memorable is highly debatable, but that's not the point here). No. He's not Big Boss; though I understand your philosophy. I don't think it matters if he's more distinct; Evil Ryu is Ryu with glowing eyes and a black gi and he's still an alt, so I don't see the issue. Also, given the hugely popular nature of Phantom Pain, I'd say a lot of people now are more familiar with Venom than they are with Solidus. And of course he isn't literally Big Boss; what I'm saying is that he was bestowed the title of Big Boss by Big Boss, and he represents Big Boss, as Big Boss, so even though he isn't Big Boss, he carries a large amount of Big Boss' iconic-ness on his Big Boss shoulders

He's at least less well known then Big Boss. Look, I'm not budging on this subject. Why would we even have him in over Big Boss? He's NOT Big Boss, he's like 99% Big Boss but he's not BIG BOSS. And there's no reason not to just include Big Boss with some Venom Snake aspects. Like, Snake in Brawl had a lot of the appearance of Big Boss in him. Why can't we just combine Snake's again? Combine the two Big Bosses. Also, having him be Venom Snake would spoil one of the biggest spoilers in the entirety of TPP, so we can't even make him not be named Big Boss. So it's just useless. And with the moveset we'd have Venom's well known red arm in anyway; I do not see an issue with just combining appearances and a few moves and having him still be Big Boss. So, the only way we could HAVE Venom is in appearance, and as I said there is no issue with combining the appearance of Big Boss AND Venom for one hybrid Big Boss.
