You can add a tanned Shantae for red team color. Personally, I think Ristar is a okay character. However, this cannot be recognized, as you have proven. I haven't played Ristar. As thus, my opinion is dirt. |

I've played and beaten Shantae: Risky's Revenge 100% completion rate and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse not 100% completion. |

| This is just gonna be a short breakdown of what I think Shantae's move set would be. She'll be Ret-2-Go with this predicted move set! (Couldn't resist XD) - Spoiler:
Jab: She would simply whip her hair at her opponent. Not really a jab though. Like Roy's SSB4 jab if you would. Can go at a very fast speed, but does little damage and knockback.
Side Tilt: She would use her Power Kick move from Pirate's Curse, having a semi-high amount of start up, but doing good damage and great knockback.
Down Tilt: Shantae would whip her opponent with her hair while crouching. Same as her Jab basically.
Dash Attack: Shantae would pull out Risky's Scimitar in front of her and anything in front of Shantae would take high damage, but low knockback.
Neutral Air: Shantae swings Risky's Scimitar in a 360 degree motion.
Forward Air: Shantae would pull out Risky's Scimitar and slice in a quarter circle motion from below to in front of her.
Back Air: Shantae would shoot Risky's Pistol behind her, making it a great gimping move.
Down Air: Shantae would pull out Risky's Scimitar and hold it under here. Works like Link's Down Air. Meteors at start up.
Grab: Shantae would grab someone with her hair.
Forward Throw: Shantae would toss her opponent straight in front of her. Low knockback and damage, but allows for follow ups.
Back Throw: Shantae would ready Risky's Cannon, throw her opponent behind her, then shoot her opponent with said cannon. Does high knockback, and low damage.
Down Throw: Shantae would transform into a spider and bite her opponent, leaving them stunned on the ground for 1 second. Does little knockback and low damage.
Up Throw: Shantae would toss her opponent up into the air. Very low ending lag, allowing for an aerial follow up.
Up Special: Risky's Hat. Shantae would pull out Risky's Hat and fly upwards. Afterwards she can glide for a short time.
Side Special: Monkey Claw. Shantae would transform into her monkey form and claw at whatever opponent is within her short range. Has medium damage, but high knockback. Drawback being its short range.
Down Special: Elephant Stomp. Shantae would transform into her Elephant form and plummet down from the air (if she's in the air) doing very high damage and high knockback, but she can't control herself. This move also has high ending lag. She transforms back after she hits someone or the ground.
Final Smash: Transformation Overdrive
Shantae invokes the power of every genie of Sequin Land and is restricted to her transformation moves, with a twist. All the moves are twice as strong and have very little start up. Her Up Special is replaced by her Harpy transformation where she gets unlimited jumps. Ends whenever she touches the ground or is hit by an opponent.

| I've played them all. Still have the GBC cart that's worth a small fortune in a box somewhere.
If her moveset works for me, I'll try to make her my second main. |

| I made her portrait in a hurry, I do intend on patching it up for the release of the demo.
The biggest problem with the face is the winking eye; it's too high, and I'd like to arch it the other way like when she winks in her official art. |

| I feel like we should keep things simple with Shantae and not shoehorn in any moves where they don't fit. Natural things like using the Elephant transformation for a Side Smash should be a given, though. |

| Shantae is my most wanted DLC character for SSB4, so you can imagine how excited I am for her to join some kind of Smash game.
What I expect from Shantae is a character with a ton of different tools in the form of her magic items and her transformations. She'd be tricky on the battlefield and have an option for almost any situation. To offset this, she might use her magic meter from Risky's Revenge as a gimmick, or simply be very technical or hard to learn.
However, she might also be the very first stance based character in Smash, with her stances being her transformations.
Either way, I'd be happy. |
