| Subject: Amitie (Puyo Puyo) Discussion Tue May 05, 2015 4:58 pm | |
| Amitie is the main character of Puyo Pop Fever and is an important character to every game after it. Amitie is a spell user (?) in-training and loves to play Puyo Pop. Puyo Pop (Called Puyo Puyo in Japan) is a falling puzzle game that involves matching colors and getting chains. In Japan, Puyo Pop is very famous, rivaling Tetris in popularity. Amitie could be a representative of falling puzzle games and would use the Puyo blobs in her moveset, as well as some magic attacks. Puyo Pop Fever was first released in 2004 for many different consoles. It appeared on the Gamecube, the Gameboy Advance, the DS, the PS2, the PSP, you can even play it on your computer! Puyo Pop Fever also got a sequel. Also Puyo Pop Fever is the first game to use Puyo Pop's signature art style. Some people would argue that Arle Nadja should represent Puyo Pop instead, due to the fact that she is the main character, but I disagree. Arle Nadja is better suited to represent Madou Monogatari, due to the fact that she is the main character of that franchise, and appears in every game. Also, there is no image yet, because I want to discuss which Amitie would you guys want the most. Here are your choices: - Spoiler:
Puyo Pop Fever Amitie Modern Amitie
Also here is her moveset. That is kind of important. - Spoiler:
Standard Attack: Summons a puyo blob and punches with it. Side Tilt: Same as standard attack, but weaker and faster. Up tilt: Summons and spins a puyo blob above her head. Down Tilt: Neals down and hits with a puyo blob
Side Smash: A puyo blob falls from above. Sort of like Villager's side smash but faster. Up Smash: Swipes above her head with two puyo blobs spinning. Down Smash: Side Smash, but on both sides.
Neutral Aerial: Puyo blobs revolve around Arle Forward Aerial: A spinning L-puyo blob is summoned and spins. Backward Aerial: A spinning L-puyo blob is summoned and spins. Up Aerial: Slices with a puyo blob upward Down Aerial: Drops a nuisance puyo blob downward.
Grab: Grabs (It's that simple) Pummel: Puyo hits opponent. Forward Throw: Gets attacked by a puyo blob and gets launches forward. Backward Throw: Gets hit with nuisance puyo and is sent backward. Up Throw: Gets attacked by puyo blob and is sent upward. Down Throw: Gets attacked by several puyo blobs and is sent downward.(?)
Neutral Special: Works like Donkey Kong's or Samus' neutral special on how it is charged. When fully charged, a large fireball (like a mini Mario Finale but it separates and reconnects over and over). This attack will not work unless it is fully charged. Side Special: A lightning bolt is summoned a few feet away from Arle. Up Special: A blizzard is used to carry Arle in any direction she chooses. Down Special: Some nuisance puyo drop from the sky. The number depends on how much the move is charged. Final Smash: Puyo Puyo-Arle leaves the stage and puyo blobs start dropping from the sky like in the games. You get to move them around and also make them go down faster. She gets to spin them around like in the games as well. If some is hit by a spinning blob, they take a lot of knockback and damage. This move lasts for about 14 seconds. When the move ends, the blobs disappear.
Taunt: Summons a "rainbow" of each of the 5 puyo blobs and then they disappear. She also says "Watch me now!"
