Dust is the main character of Dust: An Elysian Tail. He's an amnesiac anthropomorphic warmblood (not truly mentioned what his species is. I'm guessing he's a turquoise wolf) who meets the Blade of Ahrah. Then a nimbat (half cat half bat) named Fidget tags along with him, because Ahrah is her tribe's sword. Fidget is a hilarious comic relief character and is just too cute. Even though Dust lost his memory, he still knew how to defend himself and fight like nobody's business. I would talk about his origins, but that would include spoilers.
Why Dust: I bet you're asking who the hell is this furry mess? First of all, furries aren't bad. They're awesome (mostly because I am one myself, I won't be offended by the negative comments ). Second, he would be a great representative of the indie genre. Sure, there ARE better choices, like Shantae or Sash Lilac, but I think Dust & Fidget would be the ones best fit for this sort of game.
Appearance: During Crusade, he's in his warrior stance but stands still sometimes. Just like Chibi-Robo from Super Smash Flash 2, Fidget will follow Dust... except she has a purpose.
Movement: On the ground, his speed is OK to say the least. Not too fast, but not too slow. In the air however, he's a lightweight and can become pretty overpowered once his feet lift the ground.
Gameplay: Cheap as heck.
Moveset -
Specials:
B - Standard Fidget Attack: Fidget will release 5 small energy balls. Although they're weak on their own, you can combine her spheres with the Dust storm. Once they're combined, the energy balls multiply and fly across the screen only to despawn after 4 seconds.
Up B - Aerial Dust Storm: Dust will fly up using his sword combined with the wind in the background. He spins diagonally and flies for a short period of time. This attack can be varied because of each stage. If it's on a planet or something, the move will work. On the other hand, it's useless if you're in space... which has NO AIR. Then how do the other characters even breath?! Eh, it's video game logic.
Side B - Ash Bound: Much like Bowser's side special from Smash Bros., Dust has an opportunity to grab his opponent. Once he has them, he double suplexes them then throws them from behind.
Down B - Parry: Dust parries the attack and leaves his target dazed... unless it's used on a foe that is just as good as him.
Final Smash - The Undoing: Some of the standard enemies show up on the screen and start attacking the players. Then one of Gaius's aircrafts comes and starts shooting everyone. For the finale, Dust clears it up by killing the baddies... and saving the aircraft for last. He picks it up, and throws it down into the center of the stage, exploding on impact.
Standard Attacks:
AAA: Standard Sword Slashes: Can be used 3 times.
Up tilt: Rising Phoenix: Tosses players in the air.
Side tilt: Dust Storm: Swings his sword around and can pull in items. If you hold it for long enough, you'll hit yourself.
Down tilt: Sliding: Dust slides either from the left or the right.
Dash A: Lightning: Dust uses his Aerial Dust Storm while flying from left or right. Fidget casts an electricity spell which makes Dust a literal storm cloud.
Up smash: Fire: Fidget casts a spell that forms a pillar of fire, much like Palutena's up smash from SSB4.
Side Smash: Side Slash: Dust does a slow and steady slash.
Down Smash: Lower Jab: Dust jabs downwards depending on what direction he's facing.
Neutral air: Fidget Slap: Fidget tries to help Dust by sticking up & hitting them. Causes VERY little damage.
Up air: Up Slash: Dust slashes up, you ain't a'woofin
Down air: Downward Slash: Dust slashes down until he hits the ground or another player, much like Link's down air except not as powerful.
Forwards air: THE BOX: Dust picks up Reed's box from his inventory and has a 50% chance to poison someone. Sort of like Black Mage's poison grab, except in the air.
Back air: Kick: Dust kicks, not too effective.
Grab: Fidget grabs Dust's opponent from behind
Pummel: Dust punches his opponent.
Forword throw: Dust slashes his opponent and they go flying.
Back throw: Dust suplexes the other character.
Up throw: Fidget shoots a ton of energy spheres. Can also be combined with the Dust storm.
Down throw: Dust throws his sword on the ground like the awesome guy he is.
Up Taunt: Dust turns around and says "Let's end this," referencing the final boss.
Side Taunt: Fidget says "Hey! Bet'cha can't hit him!"
Down Taunt: He takes his hat off as a cloud of Dust and Steam float by making him look even more epic.
Others-
Entrance: Dust dashes onto the stages using his dodge move.
Victory 1: Dust throws his sword up and catches it saying "Next time, try harder"
Victory 2: Dust is sitting looking at the map while Fidget's sitting on Ahrah eating marshmallows
Victory 3: The HyperDucks from HyperDuck Soundworks are playing a sick beat while Dust is dancing.
Victory Themes:
2:16 & Beyond
HyperduckSoundworks Victory:
4:13 - 4:17
Costumes: 5 Dust (Default) Cassius Jin Without Hat (puts on hat as down taunt) Bonnie (Elysian Tail movie in hiatus)
It doesn't matter if he's accepted or not, I just want to see your opinion on it, but hopefully he'll join the fray!

Awesome game, no Nintendo relevance though. Not too sure about the moveset either

It's fine, but it does relate to Nintendo through crossovers!

But the character himself has no Nintendo relevance, although apparently that's not even a rule anymore.

I checked the rules, & it isn't one anymore. However it still can't be a 4th party or meme character (minus Goku & Weegee), and Dust isn't either of those so I hope he has a chance... but he probably won't make it .

Basically if you want Perfecthell to support something it needs to be relevant to nintendo otherwise he couldn't care less if their homes burned down, became pennyless, then were shot in the face by another homeless video game character so they could steal their clothes because its really cold outside
he's basically a real meanie

Then I'd better watch out for him.
P.S. I love your Deviantart page, it has some great sprite animations.

I would love to see this become a reality, mostly because Dust already seems like he would fit right into the crowd in Smash. He has projectiles, counters, both ground and aerial grabs, and even a premade recovery move. This guy would be perfect in smash. His moveset could use some tweaking, but in all honesty, so do lots of other characters. Perfecthell, name your price. I want to see this happen.

You know it's not just me who decides roster, right? lol. I didn't say im against the character, im just being objective here and bringing up the possible counter-arguments. His game was really good, but at the same time there are a huge number of characters who would be better choices for smash before this guy were added.

And because we are an official Smash Brothers game, we need to follow these rules perfectly. Otherwise, Nintendo will fire us and hire some other people.

You completely missed what i was saying. I did not say we must follow rules, i said there are better choices. Rules or not, this character is not a go-to choice imo.

Anyway, I'm certain that other characters have been requested more frequently, such as Shovel Knight or, god help us, Shrek, but I think that Dust would be a nice addition, and a fairly easy task to program and design. If you look at his move set in his game of origin, he already has both ground and aerial grabs, a recovery move in the form of his dust storm, and the addition of fidgets projectiles would easily round him out as a decent fighter. His music would fit nicely too, since the OST of his game of origin is an epic orchestral track.
I just think you're being a bit quick to set him aside, which I get; not a lot of people have heard of him or his game. But even so, he would make a nice addition to the roster, and I'm sure that if you contact the developer and creator of Dust: AET, Dean Dodrill, will be glad to help with the project.

Contact the developer? lol, that's a bit of a stretch. I agree with the music and already present moveset artifacts, though.
btw, Shrek jokes aren't really that well entertained here. Don't worry.

I still don't see why Dust & Fidget should be in Smash. From what I understand it's a great game and...that's it. You say that because it's your favorite game he should be added, but that really doesn't matter too much. As far as Indie games go, there are far better reps out there than Dust & Fidget.
Though I must say, Fidget is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen.

Not taking sides here but didn't you suggest the guy from IWBTG?

At least I provided reasons to why he should be added other than "He's my faaavoriiite". And last I checked I wanna be the guy is slightly more popular than Dust & Fidget seeing as how there are quadrillions of fan made I wanna be the Guy games and that I've never heard of these two characters.
I also like suggesting characters that usually don't have too big of a chance of making it into the game.

True but these two do have a lot more to work with. IDK when a character has like 2 abilities it's pretty hard to imagine that they'll actually work AND stay true to their original games. Of course, there is a few characters that did pull it off (like Ristar and DHD).

I gotta admit, I WAS fanboying. So, I changed the reason why they should be in. Either way I do agree that there are some indie characters that would have a better chance.

I gave plenty of logical arguments, and a decent moveset.
