| Anyone who has played Sonic Unleashed(A.K.A. the BEST Sonic game ever) knows who I'm talking about. This big, grey Incredible Hulk version of Sonic is the best Alt. for Sonic I can think of. His attacks would function as follows:
Standard: Left Punch Standard Combo: Beatdown Side Smash: (Same as DK, but longer range) Up Smash: Stretch Uppercut. Down Smash: (DK's down smash with longer range) Standard Special: Slam Up Special: Ledge Grab (His arms stretch a certain distance to grab a ledge and can attack anyone who touches the arms) Down Special: Box Throw Side Special: Smackdown! (His arm extends across the stage and if you are in his reach, you are grabbed and slammed multiple times on the ground) Final Smash: Dark Gaia (Sonic transforms into the beast to fight as for a limited amount of time) |

| WHY should the Werehog be added? It has really only been in one game, and was pretty much hated worldwide. And from this moveset, it seems like he's just a slightly glorified Donkey Kong with some Ristar elements. Show us what's unique about the Werehog, and why he deserves to be in the game. Also, the best alt for Sonic I can think of is Metal Sonic. Boom. |

You sir are wrong! While Sonic Unleashed is not a bad game at all, and the Werehog idea was kickass indeed, the execution was flawed. Like, really flawed (at least it's still better than Sonic'06 and Sonic Boom, the two worst Sonic games ever). And yeah, there is absolutely no reason for Werehog Sonic to be playable. Only one playable appearance + bad reputation + his moveset is ripping off other characters + no special gimmick = absolutely no support at all! |

| Wow. It's sad to see people still think Sonic '06 is still one of the worst games; the game that's literally the spiritual successor to SA2, which people so often refer to as the best one in the franchise. Both games are solid 3D platforms, and both games have some bugs here and there, but you can't really tell unless you're looking for them.
In my mind, the worst Sonic games of all time are Sonic and The Secret Rings, Sonic and The Black Knight, Knuckles Chaotix, and Sonic Shuffle.
...Back on topic, I don't think Werehog has what it takes to separate himself from any other hulky, brute-forced character. For this reason, I say no. |

| He has insane reach, that along with his attack speed would be great for normals and multi-hit attacks. Think Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece but with less punches and more scratches. That's easily separates him from other "hulky, brute-forced characters".
I say yes. |

I say yes. Like I said earlier, the Werehog we have here is basically just DK+Ristar. Just because the concept is slightly unique doesn't mean he deserves a spot on the roster. There are already four Sonic characters, none of which are villains (Well...Shadow doesn't count). The Werehog isn't exactly a good first pick. D.r Eggman is the best canidate, but if we're looking for a Sonic alt, Metal Sonic fits perfectly. |

This thread did not ask if Metal Sonic or Eggman would be a better choice. It basically asked "would you like the Werehog?" I answered yes. Dr. Eggman and/or Metal Sonic deserving to be in over him should have nothing to do with my answer and will not influence it. Look, I don't care if he "deserves" to be on the roster or not or how many characters a specific franchise already has. That doesn't influence who I believe has the potential to have a good moveset. I don't go by who's the "better candidate", I go by who I would like to see in the game. If he doesn't get in, so be it. |

| If I understood you correctly, then I can only see that you talk like a real man, cutting out all the bull and getting straight to the point. I do have nothing agast Werehog Sonic either, although it would be understandble, why he would not end up being playable, for reasons I mentioned before.
P.S.: Wait, people hate Knuckles Chaotix? That's big news to me. |
