| Connor Kenway is a character from the popular Assassin's Creed series by Ubisoft. He is the main protagonist of Assassin's Creed 3, the third major installment in the franchise. He is the son of Haytham Kenway, the Grand Master of an organisation known as the Templars, and Kaniehtí:io, a woman of the native village called Kanatahséton. When Connor was young, his village was burnt down in an attack ordered by George Washington, killing his mother. After a few years, he was sent on a quest to join the Order of Assassins and put an end to the Templars. He was trained by Achilles Davenport, an elderly member of the Assassin Order before creating a plan to assassinate a group of important Templar members that included his father. Appearances -Assassin's Creed III (2012) - Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U - Main Protagonist. -Assassin's Creed III: Liberation (2012) - PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, PS3 an PC - Cameo/Playable in exclusive mission. -Assassin's Creed: Memories (2014) - iOS Devices - Appears as a card. What would he bring to Crusade?-Ubisoft needs at least another rep besides Rayman, so why not use a character from their next most iconic franchise? -He represents open world games (Games with a large environment that allow to explore the area while obtaining collectibles and completing missions, such as Grand Theft Auto and Prototype). -He has a variety of weapons and tools at his disposal that would come in in handy for a unique moveset and playstyle. Why him? Why not other Assassin's Creed protagonists such as Altaïr or Ezio?I think that Connor would be the best character from Assassin's Creed to appear in Super Smash Bros. Crusade because while Altaïr and Ezio had small spin-off games that were released on Nintendo DS, Connor's big debut game was released on the Wii U, making him more relevant to Nintendo. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was also released on the Wii U but I feel that Connor is more iconic the the franchise than Edward. Connor also has some new tools that weren't in previous games and they look like they could be fun to use in his moveset. Moveset(W.I.P.) - Spoiler:
Tether Grab - Rope DartConnor throws his rope dart in front of him. Anyone he hits will be grabbed and reeled in towards him. Also works as a recovery move. Neutral Special - Bow ShotConnor gets ready to fire his bow. When you hold down the special button, Connor will pull back the strings and charges up the shot. While in this state, you can aim by pressing up or down. Doing this will move Connor's sight in the direction you press. When you release the special button, Connor will fire. This bow is different from Link's Bow, as it moves faster and travels in a straight line. Side Special - Smoke BombConnor throws a smoke bomb in front of him. The bomb will explode and create a cloud of smoke that stuns opponents for a short time. Up SpecialW.I.P. Down Special - Trip MineConnor places a trip mine on the ground. If an opponent steps on it, it will explode and damage the opponent. Final Smash - Ship CommanderWhen used, the matches freezes and zooms in on Connor, who is still moving. Connor will yell "FIRE!" while pointing at the ground in front of him. The camera will zoom out and the match will begin again. As this happens, a downpour of cannonballs will fly at the ground in front of Connor, causing lots of explosions and severely damaging those he was facing.

| I...really don't see why Crusade needs another Ubisoft rep. In my opinion, Rayman was a fun addition because he is a big platforming rival to Mario, and is kind of cartoon-y and goofy. Having a rep from Assasins Creed doesn't really...click with me. Sure, Snake got in, but I think there's a reason to why he was removed in SSB4. |

| I respect the legacy of Rayman, however, I feel that the Rayman series has been outdone by the Assassin's Creed series. I see the AC series as the flagship franchise for Ubisoft. So I see no issue in having a 2nd Ubisoft character.
As for the Assassin's Creed character itself, I don' feel Connor is the best choice. He had 1 major title in the series. He kinda falls in the same class as Edward as far as main title relevancy. The only difference is that the core Assassin's Creed fanbase praise Black Flag over AC3 due to its unique and detailed approach on the gameplay. Connor is honestly the most dull character out of all the Assassins.
The only viable choices really would be between Ezio & Altiar. The former being the most recurring in general and most-praised games while the latter is the first assassin in the series. Both have appeared on Nintendo handhelds as well. Ezio would pretty much be the best choice here if you are looking for an Assassin's Creed rep.

Eh, well I didn't choose Ezio because I couldn't think of a good moveset for him. One of his tools include throwing knives which I was considering on using for his neutral special but I thought that the move would just be dull and boring, like Sheik's needles which I never liked. I couldn't think of a Final Smash for him either. Another reason why I didn't choose Ezio is because he is used to represent the Assassin's Creed series way too much. He was in Soul Calibur 5 and I feel like other characters should get a chance. Link was in Soul Claibur 2, but he is the main character of every Legend of Zelda game and it would be crazy not to include him in the game. Assassin's Creed has multiple protagonists and one of them being used all the time just doesn't make any sense to me. But the is just my thought. If someone can think of a good Ezio moveset, they can create a topic for him if they wish. I'm such a slacker. |

| There is a way to make move set for any character. Based on the fact that Ezio appeared in half a dozen games and even appeared in a fighting game (Soul Calibur 5), that gives him even more to work with.
Here are some ideas for Ezio...
- Flying Machine - Apple of Eden - Throwing Knife - Poison Dart - Sword - Hidden Blade - Hidden Gun - variety of bombs (Smoke, Palette, Poison, etc) - Crossbow - Hook Blade - Fist Fighting - Daggers - Hammers - Axe - Parachute
Also, the reason Ezio was in Soul Calibur 5 is cause Assassin's Creed was at its peak at the time with Ezio as the lead character. That is also why many would suggest Ezio in these situations.

| SK has a point. Ezio is pretty much the face of AC. |

| Whatever. Lock this thread and make an Ezio topic because I don't have the time to do so myself. |

| You can still make the Ezio thread without the need to lock this topic since they are 2 different characters. |

| Although I really don't like Assassin's Creed, I have to admit it is a pretty big franchise and probably deserves a rep.
However, I'll ask the same thing I ask of every character: What makes him unique? Stealthy characters are hard to work into a Smash setting, and there are plenty of other options for that as it is. An assassin probably has strong, quick hits in close range while having tools to close the gap, but his weaknesses would end up being a lack of combos and he's weak defensively, falling fast and being extremely light (ala Fox)... but that isn't enough for my support. |

| Just an idea. Can't really think of another character to suggest. I'm trying to think of characters who have appeared on Nintendo consoles and even though that isn't a requirement, everyone seems to be taking it seriously. Would be nice to see at least one other Ubisoft rep though. |

| If you can come up with another Ubisoft rep that is not Rayman, Ezio, or Connor, then feel free to make a new thread for that specific character |
