Marina is the main protagonist and playable heroine in the 1997 N64 title "Mischief Makers", a somewhat unorthodox platformer centered around an interesting grab-n-hold mechanic not present in any other title. The game was developed by Treasure, the name behind Dynamite Heady, Gradius V, Ikaruga, and most importantly, Sin and Punishment. Playing as Marina, the Ultra-Intergalactic-Cybot G, you must save Professor Theo from his hellbent Brother as well as Beastector, a team of three dorky romantics (Lunar, Tarus, and Merco) who are conflicted in either defeating or dating Marina.
The reason I believe Marina Liteyears would be compatible with Crusade is because Mischief Makers is subjectively one of the best 2D platformers on the Nintendo 64. It's an impressive title to be held for a single game coming from a company many people wouldn't consider Triple-A.
In Super Smash Bros. Crusade, Marina would play much differently than everyone else; Marina would be a grappler type of character. Now, I know characters like Wario and Klonoa have a command grab, but they are, by far, not their main combat tools. What I'm thinking of is quite different. Marina's Normals and aerials would be somewhat poor compared to other opponents, just enough to prevent super-heavy comboing but light enough to prevent easy kill precents. (e.g. moves akin to the quality of Waluigi's moves) However, she would have a great deal of power with throwing people. Here's a couple Ideas I have.
~Moveset~
Moveset:
Jab - Marina swings her elbow quickly in front of the opponent.
F.Tilt - Marina childishly pushes infront of her and falls down, reminiscent to Phoenix's D.Air.
U.Tilt - Marina does a backflip.
D.Tilt - Marina rushes forward a bit with her jets while doing a low hand-sweep.
F.Smash - Marina Slashes the opponent with her hat's pigtails. Its distance is equivalent to the distance of Luigi's F.Smash. Two hits, first stuns and second is knockback.
U.Smash - Marina sports a semi-feral position and makes her jet rockets shoot upward.
D.Smash - Marina takes a short hop and rocket boosts into the ground, essentially ground-pounding it. Horizontal distance comparable to that of Porky's width, perhaps a tad less.
N.Air - Marina does a jetpack spin, with a hitbox comparable to that of Lucario's N.Air.
F.Air - Marina Knees the opponent. Obviously doesn't have the Captain Falcon effect, but would lay on some good damage.
D.Air - Marina does something comparable to a Chun-Li stomp, but with a laggier hitstun.
B.Air - Marina does a reverse punch with a lot of startup time.
U.Air - Marina performs a cartwheel with the end emphasized with a double kick straight upwards.
Grab - Marina does a single handed grab, with decent range.
F.Throw - Does a frontflip followed by the throw.
D.Throw - Slams her opponent down and beats them up for 4 hits, then kicks them away.
B.Throw - Does a windup throw and tosses them behind.
U.Throw - Rises with the opponent for a single jump's distance and backflips while propelling them upwards.
N.Special: Command Grab - Marina motions for a double-handed grab that's about 3/2 the range of her normal grab, but has a bit more miss lag. When an opponent is grabbed, Marina will have the choice to throw them in any of the eight directions she wishes, minus the downwards ones if she's grounded and not in air. If she grabs the opponent in air, they will both hover for the duration of the grab. The time it would take to break free of this grab would be less than a normal one. The throws would do quite a bit of damage, especially if the opponent hits a solid platform, but the lower-angled throws would be easier to recover out of to prevent an easy meteor.
The throws of her command grab would all have a windup before the throw.
S.Special: Jet Boost - A move that would act as Shadow's S.Special but in shorter bursts and with less damage. Can be used in air for horizontal recovery 5 times.
U.Special: Clanball Bop - Marina pulls out a Clanball and hovers, for as long as you hold u.special. Once you let go, (or wait for a while, possibly 2 seconds) she'll do an axe-handle to the Clanball to shoot herself up in a parabolic movement. Not that good of an attack, but decent recovery.
D.Special: Downward Jet Boost - Would work sort of like Ristar's Downspecial, but without the meteor, and instead, a multihit. (In my vision, both Jet Boosts would be cancellable into command grab, but the window would still be tight.)
FINAL SMASH: Blockman Mount - Marina summons Teran. She shakes him to "awaken his fighting spirit" and turn him into Blockman, a hulking transformed version of him that Marina can use to destroy... well... just about anything she damn pleases. Controlled by mashing the direction you want to go in, but extremely strong. Not sure if I want to allow Blockman to jump or not due to deviation from canon... Here's footage from what it's based off of.

Given that Marina is made from the same company that did Sin And Punishment, i would agree, but maybe much people don't even know who she is, which would be a bad thing if she ended up playable. Besides, even Sin And Punishment isn't that popular.

It's unavoidable that Mischief Makers and Sin and Punishment aren't that popular, but given both games have pretty similar fame, including Saki without Marina just makes it seem more and more like Saki was chosen simply because he was an Assist Trophy in Brawl.
And no, I'm not trying to justify Marina using Saki, I know for a fact that Saki is a more developed character, along with his game. Like I said, the reason I believe Marina should have a shot is because she made a big mark on the N64 as one of the only 2D platformers there, just as Sin And Punishment brought on-rails to a totally new field.

I updated the OP with a full moveset. Dunno why, but just felt like it.
I had A idea that side special could throw clanball men similar to DDD's minions and her normal Dash could act like her boost dash in Yuke Yuke Trouble Makers

Not bad the idea. I like this sympathetic girl. However, about Final Smash, I'm suggesting this idea:
-BeastSector: "Cerberus Alpha! Sasquatch Beta! Phoenix Gamma!" Beastsector combines into a giant robot and jumps around the stage issuing one of three attacks each time it lands:
1) "To punish evil forces, I have been charged!" BeastSector stomps down on the area around it several times. 2) "A hero with shining armor is called." BeastSector Aims its gun and fires volleys of energy randomly in the direction its facing, if a player is hit they receive DMG and and become electrically paralyzed 3) "Through fire, justice is served!" When BeastSector lands it's chest glows and a beam of fiery energy fires dealing huge fire DMG and knock back.
However, the rest is not bad XD. Support!

Hah, lol.
Actually, Mischief Makers x Wario Land would be one hell of a crossover.

I'll support it just for the obscurity. So far we have had obscure characters from the NES (Ice Climbers, Pit before Uprising), SNES (Ness, Captain Falcon), Game Boy Advance (Roy, Lucus), and even the Wii U (Shulk), so why not have one from the N64.

Bruh, Captain Falcon is not obscure. At least not anymore.

None of the characters I listed are obscure anymore, though at the time they were revealed in the SSB series, very few people knew who they were.

Ness was super obscure in Europe, for we had never got a MOTHER game officially until 2013 when Earthbound got put on the virtual console.
