Ninten (Mother/Earthbound) Discussion

Yeah, 3 characters for Earthbound are indeed enough, and Ninten being the third one isn't even required, because face it: Mother never had as much following as Earthbound.
However, if one franchise doesn't have enough representants in Crusade, then it is definitely Fire Emblem, but that's another story for another time.

earthbound seires has 4 games so its not impossible to have a 4th rep just like how in SSB4 we got 3 kid icarus characters and there was only 3 kid icarus games

Mother 4 does NOT count, because it's a fangame.

Earthbound 64 is actually Mother 3. Hell, it even has got the same characters.
And Earthbound 64 was never released, but eventually turned into Mother 3.
So no, still only 3 games.

Actually, if you count Mother 1+2 for GBA, there are 4 Mother games.

Remakes and ports do not count either.

How about this - a game counts as a "game" if
* it is not a remake or port (example: Zelda OOT: Master Quest, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland)
* it is not a concept/unfinished game (example: Super Mario 128, Earthbound 64)
* it is not a compilation or collection (example: Kirby's Dream Collection, Super Mario All-Stars)

If a game was popular enough to warrant a port or a remake, it should probably count in some form

The ports or remakes of said popular game should not count individually, but the original game counts. Make sense?

FIVE THINGS WRONG WITH THIS SENTANCE

1: Sakurai made Uprising and obviously has way too much love for the seires
2: One of them was a last-minute clone. Are you saying Ninten should be a clone?
3: Only a single Mother game was brought over to Japan and you still think the series deserves four reps?
4: We just barely got Lucas back in SSB4, so I'm pretty sure the amount of games don't matter here.

2: No but dark pit and pit still have some difference
3: marth and roy were in melee and there wasnt any game from fire emblem sieres that was released outside japan

it does. earthbound 64 isnt 100% the same as MOTHER 3 for example maybe there was different things in the story and the gameplay and its also 3D. i know the game looked too much simillar to MOTHER 3 but there is still difference

mario is jumpman and wireframe mac is little mac and rhydon isnt the main character or anything like that
