Shy Guy (Yoshi’s Island) Discussion

First the yoshi universe have only one character and this is yoshi himself.
second this is a very mysterious character but also perfect for a very creative moveset.
there are plenty of different shyguy enemies in the yoshi series and this is a perfect qualification to make a crazy and very different character.
there are for example flyguy which could be the up move then there are shyguys with spears, shyguys with cannonmouths, shyguys with pogosticks
and many different other shyguys which could fill up the moveset of the shyguy in smash bros. crusade.
the shyguys also resembles a little bit the yoshi species, because they are also in all different colors available.

I wonder what kind of moveset the fat shyguy would have. Very boring one I'm sure hahahaha. Good idea though, never thought about Shyguys as fighters.

His moveset could be build up similiar to the moveset of mr.game and watch

I'm not really feeling Shy Guy. To me he just seems like another generic enemy no different from a Koopa Troopa or Goomba, added just for the sake of having another "Yoshi" rep.

Just because a series is a veteran series, does not mean it needs another character representative if one works just fine.

in my opinion he is very different from other yoshi/mario enemies because of they variety.
he is also very iconic and well known for the yoshi series and of course well known for his many appearances in different
mario games like mario tennis, mario kart, mario party so in my opionion he is not just any different type of enemy, he is a special one

I feel Shy Guy has a lot of potential for a moveset. You have my support.

I feel like Shy Guy could potentially have something (think we need a little more detail in the moveset to really see*hint, hint, nudge, nudge*), but honestly I feel the same way as StayPuft. He's just a common baddie. Variety doesn't necessarily make him a better candidate. There's variety amongst the Space Pirates from Metroid, but nobody suggests them (though, thinking about it, maybe they could work).

I need more description of how exactly Shy Guy would work in Crusade, and why he's a better Yoshi rep than Kamek, and why I should consider the Yoshi games (which I love to death) to be anything other than a really good Mario spin-off, before I support this character.

No support. I don't have much interest in playing as a common baddie. Especially one that doesn't have any individualization from their species. (Such as Bandanna Dee, who I also have little interest for)

If people are really this thirsty for a Yoshi rep, I'm really surprised they haven't brought up Poochy.

WOAH WOAH WOAH, He's a main character of the franchise at this point!

Anyways, with the variety Shyguy's offer, I'd say he could be a decent character. I'll support, since I like the idea.
