Ribbon (Kirby) Discussion What_if_they_were_in_smash__ribbon_by_girkirby-d7oikde

Bio: A young, courageous fairy from the planet Ripple Star. At the beginning of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, the evil being known as Dark Matter invaded her home planet, taking complete control over it. As Dark Matter invaded, Ribbon was tasked by the queen of Ripple Star to flee the planet with the Great Crystal, which looks over the planet and protects it from evil, to make sure it isn't used by Dark Matter for evil. Despite Ribbon’s attempt to flee, however, Dark Matter followed close behind and attacked, shattering the crystal into multiple shards and sending Ribbon plummeting into Pop Star. After crashing into the planet, Ribbon then met Kirby, who decides to help her find all of the crystal shards and restore the Great Crystal to its former self. Despite not really being much of a fighter, with a somewhat carefree and friendly personality, Ribbon is very brave and had even helped Kirby during his battle with Zero Two by carrying him through the void of space. After defeating Zero Two, destroying Dark Star, and saving Ripple Star from the clutches of Dark Matter, Ribbon gives Kirby a kiss on the cheek for his heroic deeds. Whether or not this implies a possible crush on the pink hero is still to be determined.

In Super Smash Bros, Ribbon is now equipped with a weapon to help her in combat: the crystal wand, a red handled wand with a small, blue crystal on top of it, which is capable of creating shards made of crystal when used as well as other crystal related uses.

Voice Actor/Actress: Maaya Uchida(Japanese)/Stephanie Sheh(English)
Taunt Up: Ribbon tosses the crystal wand upwards into the air and then catches it by the handle.
Taunt Down: Ribbon twirls around twice, then looks toward the screen and giggles as well as winks her right eye.
Taunt Side: Ribbon crosses her arms and angrily pouts, turning her head to the opposite side of the screen.
Entrance: Ribbon appears riding the Great Crystal as it comes plummeting towards the stage. Once it crashes and shatters, Ribbon falls onto the ground, shakes her head, and gets up.

Special Traits
-Due to having wings, Ribbon can perform up to five extra jumps, giving her very good recovery when coupled along with her up special.
-Ribbon doesn't walk, but rather slightly hovers above the ground using her wings to move. The same can be said for her dash. The only time Ribbon uses her feet is when she’s in her idle stance.
-Ribbon can Crawl, but she cannot Wall Jump and Wall Cling.
-Ribbon uses the crystal wand, an item she possesses only in Super Smash Bros, in a lot of her attacks. The item’s attacks draw a lot of inspiration from the Mirror copy ability found in Kirby Super Star as well as its remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra.

Ribbon (Kirby) Discussion What_if_they_were_in_smash__ribbon_s_move_set_by_girkirby-d7oirkl

Basic Moveset
Combo (1st): Left Slap (1%-2%) – Ribbon performs a short slap with her left hand.
Combo (2nd): Right Slap (1%-2%) – Ribbon then performs a short slap with her right hand.
Combo (3rd): Crystal Wand (3%-5%) – Ribbon finishes by slamming the crystal wand against the ground.
Combo (Rapid): Crystal Force (1%-5%) – Ribbon slowly waves the crystal wand up and down as small, flat, glass-like objects made of crystal come out of it.
Dash Attack: Crystalline Headbutt (4%-7%) – Ribbon dashes very fast the distance of two stage builder blocks while performing a sideway facing headbutt while holding the crystal wand. As she does this, her body faintly glows a shiny, blue color.
Side Tilt: Wand Smack (5%-7%) – Ribbon swings the crystal wand horizontally forward.
Up Tilt: Overhead Wand (3%-6%) - Ribbon quickly swings the crystal wand above her in an overhead arching fashion.
Down Tilt: Crouch Kick (1%-2%) – Ribbon kicks with both feet out in front of her.
Side Smash: Crystalline Swing (7%-15%) – Ribbon swings the crystal wand horizontally forward. Once swung, the crystal releases a medium-sized, flat, glass-like object made of crystal that travels very fast. Once the object hits an opponent, a wall, etc., it shatters.
Up Smash: Crystal Bullet (3%-8%) – Ribbon quickly swings the crystal wand above her in an overhead arching fashion. Once swung, the crystal releases five small, flat, glass-like objects made of crystal that travel upward in five directions and spread out the farther they travel. Once an object hits an opponent, a wall, etc., it shatters.
Down Smash: Crystalline Copy (5%-15%) – Ribbon releases two shiny, blue, crystal copies of herself that each quickly dash horizontally from her in both the left and right direction. The more you charge the attack, the longer the distance the copies travel. Once a second passes after the attack is used or if the copies hit an opponent, a wall, etc., the copies shatter.
Neutral Aerial: Fairy Twirl (1%-3%) – Ribbon spins twice with both wings outstretched from her.
Forward Aerial: Air Kick (2%-3%) – Ribbon kicks in front of her with both feet.
Backward Aerial: Crystal Slash (4%-5%) – Ribbon swings the crystal wand behind her once as the crystal on the wand turns into a crystal blade.
Upward Aerial: Flip Kick (2%-4%) – Ribbon kicks upside down with both feet above her
Downward Aerial: Crystalline Slam (5%-6%) – Ribbon swings the crystal wand below her once, which releases a medium-sized, flat, glass-like object made of crystal that quickly travels downward. Once the object hits the ground or an opponent, it shatters.
Standard Grab: Hand Grab (0%) – Ribbon reaches her left hand out in an attempt to grab someone.
Pummel: Face Slap (2%) – Ribbon slaps the opponent’s face back and forth with her right hand.
Forward Throw: Crystal Smack (3%-5%) – Ribbon forcefully smacks the opponent’s abdomen with the crystal wand.
Backward Throw: Backwards Force (1%-5%) – Ribbon tosses the opponent behind her. Ribbon then turns around and moves the crystal wand up and down, releasing multiple small, flat, glass-like objects made of crystal that shatter and damage the tossed opponent.
Upward Throw: Air Drop (8%-9%) – Ribbon flies very fast into the air and offscreen, then comes crashing down a second later, slamming the captured opponent into the ground.
Downward Throw: Fury Stomp (9%-10%) – Ribbon throws the captured opponent onto the ground, then quickly stomps on them several times.

Special Moves
Neutral Special: Crystal Toss 1 (1%-10%) – Ribbon tosses a blue crystal shard which travels in an arched trajectory. Once the crystal hits a player, the ground, a wall, etc., it shatters, spreading multiple small shards in all directions. The smaller shards can also do small damage to players.
Crystal Toss 2 (1%-13%) - Same function as before, only now when the shard shatters, it releases a burst of energy as well as scatters shards in all directions.
Crystal Toss 3 (1%-10%) - Ribbon throws the crystal shard in a horizontal, straight trajectory. It still does, however, shatter and spread small shards.

Side Special: Crystal Rush 1 (5%-12%) – Ribbon hops onto the Great Crystal, which quickly rushes the direction of three stage builder blocks. If Ribbon were to hit a player, wall, etc., the Great Crystal would shatter and Ribbon would fall helplessly to the ground. Like her standard special, once the crystal shatters it spreads multiple small shards in all directions, which can cause small damage to players.
Crystal Rush 2 (7%-15%) - Now when Ribbon hops onto the Great Crystal, it creates a small explosion behind it that sends flying forward very fast. The crystal still shatters when it hits a player, wall, etc.
Crystal Rush 3 (6%-14%) - When the Great Crystal crashes, it releases a large burst of energy as well as spreads small shards in all directions.

Up Special: Fairy Flutter 1 (0%) – Ribbon’s wings extend as she then flaps them, giving her the ability to fly for three seconds. While flying, the player can control whichever direction in which she goes in. Once three seconds pass, Ribbon gets tired and falls down in a helpless state.
Fairy Flutter 2 (1%-8%) - Ribbon's wings become very sharp and can now harm other players.
Fairy Flutter 3 (2%-10%) - Ribbon's wings now emit a sparkling, light blue energy that damage other players who are in her way.

Down Special: Crystalline Shield 1 (2%-4%) – Ribbon creates a shiny, blue, orb-like shield made of crystal using the crystal wand, which encases her for two seconds. Any projectile that hits the shield will simply reflect to the opposite direction from which the projectile came from. This attack does not, however, protect her from physical attacks. Once two seconds pass or the shield receives a physical attack, the shield shatters, spreading multiple small shards in all directions which cause small damage to other players. Once the shield shatters, it cannot be used again until three seconds pass.
Crystalline Shield 2 (4%-8%) - The shield becomes covered in needle-like spikes, which damages other players who touch the shield. The shield can still reflect projectiles and can still be shattered from physical attacks.
Crystalline Shield 3 (2%-4%) - The shield now protects you from physical attacks and can be shattered by projectile attacks.

Final Smash: Crystal Shard Gun (?%) – Ribbon becomes equipped with the crystal shard gun that was used in the final battle of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Once equipped, Ribbon can now fly around freely for the duration of the Final Smash. When the special attack or attack button is pressed during the final smash, the gun would fire a small stream of crystal shards which shatter if they hit another player, a wall, etc. Once a crystal shatters, it spreads multiple small shards in all directions. Each crystal deals out 6% damage while each shard deals out 3% damage. While the Final Smash doesn't have very high knock back, it can still deal out a lot of damage to other players. Once fifteen seconds pass, the Final Smash ends.
