Favorite character discussion

So, just thought I'd post that my favorite characters to play as
are link, gooey, ness, and knuckles, probably in that order. The only change I would make is that gooey is amazing so maybe he goes first on my list.

What about you guys? I feel like a lot of people probably like Goku.

I like Gooey as well, not a very popular opinion from what I've seen.
Other than that Waluigi Petey, and Rayman are where it's at.

I absolutely despise petey. I don't like him even a little bit. Thats playing him though. As for characters I actually hate, Falco. Just, why?

Waluigi seems meh, but Rayman is definitely cool.

Yeah, Petey takes some getting used to.
Never was a Starfox guy either, haha.

My hatred for falco stems from melee.

But I will go as far as to say the starfox games weren't very fun. Then again, I never really liked anything with flight too much.

Petey, Luigi, and Waluigi are my favourites

Ganondorf is my favorite to use so far in the 0.9 test demo.

Everyone seems to like petey, dammit.

I think saki looks cool, but I'm having trouble controlling him with the controller atm.

My favorites are Duck Hunt Dog (cause I sprited him), Ganondorf, Pikachu, & Toad.

I hate Goku, Petey, Weegee, Ristar, Knuckles, & Shadow (even though I contributed to work on him).

I guess you can see what characters i like on my Sign, so...

Anyway, Yeah, Saki is a pretty cool character, He´s a solid combo character

Petey does get a lot of getting used to

I think his main thing is getting used to his mobility. It balances out nicely with his amazing projectiles, but I bet it's still annoying when it takes like 4 jumps to get to the next platform.

Saki's downtilt seems broken. Maybe the CPUs just let me abuse them.

We haven't figured out intelligent DI yet

Pichu, Phoenix Wright, Ganondorf, Waluigi, Petey, Duck Hunt Dog, Porkey, and Ridley.

Can't say for sure about the 0.9 public test demo, but with the balancer demo I play I really enjoy Ridley, DHD, Mach Rider, Pac Man and Ashley.

Ridley??? Jk, ridleys alright. I hate playing as him/her though. I love links grounded side-b.

I personally play-tested him with the head balancer to make him just right. He'll be way more fun and noticeably better by the time you guys get to play the full 0.9 demo. For example, we gave his down-air a ground bounce to resemble how the move worked in the Metroid games, and then I made it combo into his up-b for a really satisfying kill at high percents.

Also, while playing Ridley try holding down the up-smash input as you're dashing. Wait until it's fully charged and then release. Your opinion of playing as Ridley may just change.

I really love everyone, but I prefer characters that haven't appeared in the official series.
My main choices, however, are DHD, Mach Rider, Rayman, Saki, Porky, and Ridley.

Can't wait for Mac and Isaac, or Ezio either.

Axel, the old roster is not the current roster. It's best not to assume any character from it is still planned unless you see a concrete character reveal from us. Are all of the characters you named still planned? Maybe. Just keep in mind that what you remember of the roster is pretty much worthless

Eh, a guy can dream.

Although, knowing Smash King was working on Ezio alongside Ganon makes me pretty confident of his inclusion.

The remaining Smash veterans are obvious picks (aside from the SSB4 ones)

I also think Banjo's still there.

I do hope that Warrior of Light, Scorpion, and Heihachi are also there, because they were others I looked forward to.

I remember Scorpion and Heihachi being worked on by Blitz and SK, respectively, so I'm confident of their stay.

I dunno. Characters might get cut even when they're 99% done. It's all part of development.

Wright is awesome. No Objections here.

Wright may be awesome, but as he is now, with the exploitable Taunt+B FS, and the broken Down B, he's a walking glitch.

Uh the characters I used the most when I could play Crusade were Yoshi and Samus

I was terrible with Ashley oddly enough

I can use him pretty well without exploiting the Final Smash.
I don't use Down B ever.

Pichu, Toad, and Toon Link.

Working on Waluigi.

PH4 and I both main like half the cast each now, we kind of have to in accordance with our jobs to cover as many matchups as possible. Here's my rough list of my strongest mains as of now (Keep in mind these are based off of the current balancer demo)

I'm also planning to learn Petey Piranha, and take a look at Goku at some point.

I suppose I prefer playing as these next several, although I'd play as anyone currently, thanks to the "skating" glitch
