New Pokemon Character Discussion

Hello

Being a huge pokemon fan i'd love a new pokemon character (i would suggest charizard)

So everyone please discuss here for pokemon characters

id like to see sceptile in the official smash games but as far as pokemon go in crusade.....idk something pokken inspired

For Crusade, I would like to see the two vets that are missing (Charizard and Greninja) and Meowth.

Totally Gardevoir, or Sceptile, i think putting characters that already are in the official games would be redundant, obviously there are exceptions like mario, luigi, sonic, etc.

Since Hitmonchan is unlikely to get in account of Little Mac, I'd most like to see Hitmontop, Feraligatr, and Scyther/Scizor. Gen II feels kind of underrepresented in both official Smash and Crusade, and it'd be cool to see genuinely different Pokemon than just Starters (yes, Feraligatr is a Starter-evolution, but it's also a Gen II water-type with the heft/strength of Charizard) or more Types that we've already got (like Grass).

I always a good way to represent Gen 2 (other than Pichu) could be Suicune. He's in Pokken and he's the mascot of Pokemon Crystal.

I support that idea of suicune, i think some quadrupede characters would be very interesting to see and to play as, i don't know if there are some full quadrupede characters in Crusade, but i don't think so.

Talking about hitmontop, i dunno, maybe hitmonlee or medicham would be better as fight type, mostly because medicham would offer some variety in moveset through psychic moves, like psycho cut or zen headbutt, and if we're talking about 2nd gen, then some typhlosion would be nice, though maybe it would be kinda like a Sonic characters clone but with fire (like Roy in Smash 4), cause i really don't care so much about starters, but hitmontop would be good anyways.

I would personally like Darkrai or Golurk in a Smash game, but realistically, probably Incineroar

I heavily i agree i am fire type supporter but i'd love to see sceptile in this game

2-Yeah i guess incineroar is a bit realistic, however, i think cutiefly (no i'm not joking) has a great potential too, just think about it.
3-Yeah, we gotta hope, i just want some variation between quadrupeds and two-legged pokémon, obviusly Pichu and Pikachu don't count too much.

Seems legit and i thought of its final smash it likes drains the opponent's life

I know it sounds crazy, but thikn it could be a very fast character, and being a bug and fairy type, it could have attacks like pin missile, bug buzz, silver wind could be a pretty good final smash, i think it could BEE pretty good if well used, and an alolan pokémon know would be awesome.

Sadly a lot of Pokemon are like that. They have huge potential with what they could use, but don't have much besides that. For example: Hawlucha could be cool because not only is it a luchador, but it is also a bird, so it could mix both of these things into it's moveset, but it doesn't have anything going for it outside of that. It's not even in Pokken, so it just doesn't stand out.

Drapion!

He could use Accupressure to raise a random "stat", kind of like Shulk with the Monado Arts. He's got Cross Poison and Night Slash that could be used like swords. He could use Toxic Spikes either as a projectile or as something you could plant like Bomberman's Down Special. He's got the different fang/biting moves for up close, and as for recovery... I really have no idea, but that'll probably be one of his weak areas.

To be fair, a lot of these Pokemon mentioned would be really cool in Pokken, it's just harder to pick for Smash Bros. because they need slightly more than a unique moveset. If we took a look at the 9 Pokemon in Smash Bros. already, they have decent reasons for the most part.

Pikachu - Main mascot.
Pichu - Quick and easy clone to make.
Charizard - Mascot of Pokemon Red and FireRed and is one of the most recognizable Pokemon out there.
Squirtle - Very recognizable Pokemon, also worked into Pokemon Trainer's moveset
Ivysaur - Although not the most iconic of it's family, it fit into Pokemon Trainer's moveset.
Jigglypuff - Recognizable Pokemon, running character in the original anime.
Mewtwo - One of the most recognized Pokemon. Main star in the first Pokemon movie.
Lucario - Popular Pokemon. Stars in the eighth movie as a main character.
Greninja - Popular Pokemon. Got an alternate form in Gen 7 (telling us that GameFreak knows it's popular).

Crusade only adds Snivy, and I don't really have anything for Snivy other than it was a popular Gen 5 starter.
