| Alright, this thread is where I post my random sprite works that I may or may not actually use. Neß: - Spoiler:
Yes, I'm 100% Serious. ALL ANIMATIONS EXCEPT IDLE AND FTILT ARE PLACEHOLDERS [C] Entrance: [C] Idle: [C] Run: [C] Jump: [C] Double Jump: [C] Crouch: [C] Shield: [C] Roll Dodge: [C] Air/Spot Dodge: [C] Hurt 1: [C] Hurt 2: [C] Hurt 3: [C] Broken Shield/Dizzy: [C] Falling: [C] Helpless State: [C] Tumble: [C] Landing: [C] Taunt: [C] Win: [C] Lose: [C] Edge Climb: [C] Get Up: [C] Tech: -Attack Animations- [C] Jab/Combo: [C] Side Tilt: [C] Up Tilt: (If up is held) (Projectile) [C] Down Tilt: [ ] Side Smash [C] Up Smash: (PEE KAY SPRITESTORM! [ ] Neutral Air [ ] Forward Air [ ] Back Air [ ] Up Air [ ] Down Air [C] Dash Attack: [ ] Edge Attack [ ] Get Up Attack [ ] Neutral Special [ ] Side Special [ ] Up Special [I] Down Special [C] Final Smash: Fatal Error: Disappearing/Reappearing after Waiting: Error Message: Wait Selected: Close Selected: Background: Reappearing After Explosion: Soda Can: NeB disappears, then black boxes appear all over, and eventually the error message appears. You can choose one of two attacks: 1) NeB reappears, and everyone is frozen. All shields, and hitboxes remain active. NeB can beat on his opponents as much as he likes until the program responds (7-10 seconds) 2) The screen fades, displaying the "It is now safe to turn off your computer." The Windows XP Startup noise (distorted) can be heard. The screen shakes, then the explosion graphic obliterates the screen. (There is a brief window here where people can dodge) Every opponent (assuming they didn't dodge) takes knockback, and NeB reappears drinking a soda. When he liters discards the soda, it acts as a projectile. Said projectile is an OHKO if it connects during the first 3 frames when it is active. -Grabs and Throws- [ ] Grab [ ] Pummel [ ] Forward Throw [ ] Back Throw [ ] Up Throw [ ] Down Throw -Item-Related- [ ] Item Throw Forwards [ ] Item Throw Backwards [ ] Item Throw Downwards [ ] Item Batter [ ] Item Smash [ ] Home Run Bat Swing [ ] Heavy Item
Neß's Moveset - Spoiler:
Playstyle: Neß doesn't like being harrased, so his primary goal is to keep people away from him. However, when enemies do get close, a good Neß player will be able to keep his opponent guessing what he does next. Neß also has a very strong edge guard game, with 2 spikes, and mane moves that discourage people from grabbing the ledge. Neß's weakness is that while being hard to approach, he is super light (about Squirtle's weight) so he is KO'd easily if his opponent can poke through his defense. He also has issues against people who can out camp him.
Jab: Neß shoots a laser from his eyes. It has a bit of start up, but puts the opponent a small distance in front of him, and puts them in down state. This is key later. Ftilt: Neß spins a lol jk in front of him like the Loituma Girl spins her leek. On the first frame the lol jk is out, it will trap targets, and he will spin them too. There are 4 points of launch for this move. For example, pressing attack when the opponent is at the height of the spin will launch them upward. Neß can also juggle projectiles this way. Utilt: Neß thrusts a ß above his head. This functions similar to Meta Knight's up tilt. Dtilt: NOTE: Neß's crouch is unique in that he breaks the stages code, and he appears partially submerged in a pool of useless integers. Neß raises his arm out, and hits it on the stage. This sends out a wave of garbage data. Fsmash: Neß swings his baseball bat trying to be like Ness. Instead, he hits a foul ball, sending people behind him. Usmash: Neß leaps up, yelling "PK Spritestorm!" This causes garbage data to fall from his hand onto the ground. Think Geno Blast. Dsmash: Neß strikes a pose, yelling "Hold It!" This is Neß's panic button, due to its high knockback. Reference/Parody of Phoenix Wreject's extendo-arm dsmash. Dash Attack: Neß rushes forward with a sprite sheet that is totally not a resized .jpg'd version of Damian's Wright sheet. The sheet explodes after a while. This attack deals a LOT of damage if all hits connect, but is punishable if whiffed. Ledge Attack: Neß floats into the air, and throws an energy ball at the stage to ensure he gets back. Get Up Attack: A swivel chair appears, which Neß uses to spin around on while kicking. This is Neß's most damaging attack. Nair: Neß dynamically spins around. On one frame, some idiot forgot to remove the background. The white box deals damage. Due to its high priority, this is Neß's air panic button. Fair: Neß reads "Simply put, I'm SORRY." This move deals more knockback the more hits connect. This is his main edgeguard tool, and primary method of keeping people away from him as he approaches. As an easter egg, if you press taunt before the hitbox is active and he starts talking, he will say "CREDIT TO DET FOR FRAMES 5 & 6" Bair: Neß thrusts the pencil tool from MS Paint behind him and over his head. This is a lot like Knee of Justice in that it has a powerful sweetspot at the beginning, but is a decent combo move if whiffed. Uair: Neß swings a lollipop over his head. Anyone who gets him by it is dragged in front of him because it is sticky. Dair: Neß swings a GTFO Below him. This is a meteor smash similar to Samus's, but it starts out more in front of him so it can be used out of uair. Grab: Neß leans forward, grabbing with a cane. Pummel: Think Mewtwo's pummel, but Neß flinches too, implying he is being hurt too. Fthrow: The hand that Neß grabbed his opponent with explodes. This too has fixed knockback. It's main purpose is to get people away, or get people off the edge. Bthrow: Neß attempts to heave the enemy over his shoulder, but they are too heavy for him (Even Pichu or another Neß). This automatically downs the opponent, but Neß can tech before he too, is downed. Uthrow: Neß pulls out a clipboard, and a second Neß leaps out of the ground, launching the opponent up. The second Neß then leaps after the opponent, also holding a clipboard. After the second Neß kicks the target upward, a third Neß appears behind him, knocking the opponent down with a kick. Neß puts away his clipboard after the second Neß appears so he can act, and start a highly damaging combo out of this throw. Dthrow: Neß's expression goes blank, and he stands still. A small yellow pulse can be seen going into his opponent, which shocks them multiple times. Neutral Special: PK Sprite: Neß pulls back, yelling PK, then he thrusts his arm forward creating a fast moving projectile. If the button is pressed multiple times, he will shoot out up to 3 projectiles. The effects are in this order: 1) Nerfs speed by 1/3rd (this includes moves like spin dash) 2) Nerfs attack power by 1/3rd 3) Flowers the opponent If all three projectiles connect the opponent will flicker randomly. Each effect on it's own lasts 5 seconds, but if all connect, the effects last 10 seconds. Side Special: Neß's Marquee: Neß projects a marque around himself, which moves him forward about the distance of a Falco Phantasm. This move deals a lot of hitstun, and stops items and projectiles allowing Neß more time to react to them. If an opponent is in the "dead" or "tumble" state when they are caught, it meteor smashes them powerfully. Up Special: Error Spam: An error message appears underneath Neß. It acts as a wall in that people cannot run through it, it blocks people from below, and it cancels projectiles. If Neß is attacked, the message is destroyed, and Neß goes helpless. However, Neß can boost himself higher by mashing the attack button to generate more messages. When at 8 messages, Neß will automatically jump. Neß goes helpless if he has generated more than 4 messages. The wall function is invaluable for gimping. Down Special: Mini-Moding: Neß jabs his appendage into the ground. This move has infinite range, but deals no knockback, and deals only 2% damage. However, when it connects it is powered up now dealing neglectable stun, and 5% damage. If that connects, it deals 7% damage, and deals decent stun. If that connects, it reaches maximum power, where it does 10% damage, and powerful knockback that can kill and absurdly low percents. Using the move at maximum power resets it. This is a reference to the lifebar system on the forum, and the values 2, 5, 7, and 10 come from the amounts of life on the lifebar; 25, 50, 75, and 100 respectively. Final Smash: Fatal Error: Neß attempts to walk forward, but his foot gets stuck in the stage, and he falls in, leaving a hole behind. 2 seconds, later, a cutthrough of the stage is visible, with Neß flailing around, trying to get out. Periodically for about 15-20 seconds, holes appear throughout the stage. If an opponent is knocked into, or steps in the hole, they are trapped. Occasionally, the holes will spit out PK Starstorm sized meteors that travel up. After 15-20 seconds, Neß can be seen turning around as a wall of fire comes toward him. (reference to Windows Firewall. Neß is a virus) Neß desperately tries to escape, as the cutthrough fades out. The hole that Neß entered from expands, and a pillar of flame similar to the last hit of Close Combat is blasted out, launching all trapped characters into the air. Neß is also blasted out and goes into tumble state, but he takes no damage.
Neß's Backstory Meta Knight: (not being used for anything, free to use if you ask me first)

| The Masked Man at the moment is just an edit of NarutoNU's Lucas. I plan to make another version in the future with the sword, and a different pose. |

| Sorry for the double post. I am having problems with my Ivysaur sprite. It may not be scaled correctly, or it may just be shaded wrong. However, I used the Ivysaur from Brawl as my base, for the curious, here is my resource image: - Spoiler:
I am having problems with shading it to match Squirtle, and I am having problems making the bulb. Can anyone help with this? Here's Squirtle: |

| The sprite should be facing half us and half the opponent, like squirtle is doing. For example, this(even though it's somewhat isometric) compared to this. |

| Except Ivysaur faces the screen in Brawl, and Squirtle just sort of hops around. |

| But in Brawl, the camera system is in 3-D so you can see their frontal expressions more easily. In Crusade, it's 2-D. Look at the characters in crusade and compare them to their Brawl animations. You'll see a difference. |

| Ah yes. I feel that most non-human/intimidating characters should face this way. For example: Ivysaur, Charizard, Mewtwo, Ganondorf, Bowser, King K. Rool ect. |

| It makes me sad I put more effort into this than all of Olimar's and 90% of Popo's animations. |

| Made a Meta Knight out of boredom. If you wish to complain about the colors, send an angry letter to Sakurai. |

| New Neß idle is now mostly done. He still needs bored poses though. (Sniffing Coffee like in my avatar, pointing forward like in the original picture, swinging his arms across his body like a stretch, and looking at a candy cane with a skeptical look on his face.) |
