Rita MordioRita Mordio is a young, hot headed mage from the underground city of Aspio. She spends all of her time researching Blastia. (It's like a battery.) She's been outcasted by fellow researches and has no social life outside of her books. Her battle style can be a mixed, since she gets a variety of artes. Up close attacking, and far off spells, but better off with her magic.
Why Rita?Rita can bring a style to Crusade that has never been seen before. She's a light/medium character that is all about distance. If she can zone you out, you might as well give up the match. She won't be easy to play, so she'll be tough to master. Rita is from the game series 'Tales Of'. Not many people have even heard of this series at all. She was in the games 'Tales of Vesperia' and 'Tales of VS' (A Japan exclusive). She was also featured in the movie, 'Tales of Vesperia: First Strike.' No, Rita isn't a main character, but 'Tales Of' generally doesn't have one. She would use a large array of moves that would be a doubled edged sword for her. (Just like in Tales of Vesperia). Anyway, let's get on to the moves, shall we?
Jab/combo; Rita swings out her scarf twice, dealing low damage and having little knockback.
Side Tilt: Rita extends her scarf out, hitting enemies twice and knocking them back quite a bit. Has low damage and a lot of ending lag.
Down Tilt: Rita swipes her scarf along the ground, pushing enemies back.
Up Tilt: Rita throws her spellbook upward, knocking enemies to the sides with okay-ish knock back. Low damage.
Smashes:Forward Smash: Rita throws open her spell book, shouting the incantation of 'Wallis!' while 3 pages fly out in a cone, hitting above, below, and in front of her. The longer it's held, the more distance they cover, and the pages that are used. For anything the due with her book, the neat mechanic could be that she only has a max of 50 pages. Every time she uses move that uses pages, her count goes down depending on how many she uses. If she runs out, she doesn't get anymore until she dies. This can make people really think before spamming her moves.
Up Smash: Rita jumps up with her scarf spinning all around her. It throws people in the air with medium knock back and low damage, while shouting the incantation of 'Rudolf!'
Down Smash: With a graceful spin, Rita swipe her scarf all along the ground around her, tripping enemies and pushing with back with a wind like effect. She shouts 'Phi!' for this. This move is more or less used to interrupt since it's damage is low.
Specials:Here's the interesting thing for Rita. She has A LOT of spells, so what better way to use them than here? First off, her down special makes different auras appear around her. Depending on what one she has, will depend on what spell her neutral will be. (Or heck, it just changed the color of her book on her back)
Red Aura: Fireball- Rita stands still, charging up her fireball spell. The longer it's held, the more fireballs she shoots out, and the more of the incantation she uses. 'O flickering flames burn!' and then upon release if used for as long as possible: 'Fireball!'. 1-5 fireballs shoot out depending on the charge, and move along the stage until they hit something. The deal okay-damage and have LOW knockback>
Blue Aura: Splash! Rita charges the spell, and once released, a large pitcher of water lifts out of the ground a few feet away from her and pours a steady stream of water for about 2-5 seconds. Rita is completely mobile while the spell is going. She uses the incantation of 'Grant them thy undefiled purity! Splash!'
Purple Aura: Violent Pain! Like the other spells, Rita charges up with the incantation of 'O disturbing power now unleashed, mete thy judgment upon the evil before me!
Violent Pain!' Spikes shoot out from under the nearest enemy and cave in on themselves, pulling the foe into the center for max damage.
Side Special: Rita lunges forward and clobbers her target over the head with her spellbook. It has high damage, and stun if it hits. If she misses, she has a lot of landing lag. If used in the air, she goes into helpless mode afterward. She shouts out 'Laplace!' while she does so.
Up Special: Rita starts her spell casting, having a light surround her. The longer it's held down, the more she recovers. (Think of Diddy Kong's up special). While casting she shouts out 'Spread thy alluring snare and deliver my enemies unto me! Tractor Beam!' Then floats up a lot. If she casts it while on the ground, a large beam shoots up, like Palutena's Up smash, damaging and sending enemies flying.
Down Special: Rita flips through her book for a few seconds, changing the aura around herself. It takes up 3 book pages to change each aura so that it can't be spammed. If she's knocked out of it, it takes up to 5 pages. (I assume when she gets hit, she ends up ripping her book.)
Up Air: Rita does a basic swipe with her scarf. Low damage and knockback.
Forward Air: Rita shoots in a downward style, blasting rocks from her hand, shouting 'Stone Blast!' As she does so. Decent damage and good knock back.
Back Air: Rita leans back and shoots fire from her palm. Low damage and good knockback.
Down Air: Rita smashes a foe below her with her book, spiking if it hits just right. It has high landing lag and decent damage.
Grab/pummel: Rita throw her scarf out and wraps an enemy up. She squeezes the breath from them with each pummel. (Very slow.) If she misses her grab, it has high lag to retrieve her scarf.
Forward throw: With a hard hit, Rita smacks her enemy with her book and sends them flying.
Down Throw: Rita slams her foe into the earth, rooting them and dealing low damage.
Up throw: Rita casts a shortened spell. Water shoots up from the ground, knocking enemies up while she says 'Going up, Aqua Laser!'
Back throw: Rita spins around, and releases her foes, stunning them and creating a bit of distance between her and her foe.
Dash Attack: Rita runs forward and smashes with her book. Has HIGH (and I mean HIGH) ending lag.
Taunt: Rita looks at her book and flips through a few pages, while saying: 'Huh? I guess we're done.'
Battle Entrance: Rita jumps in through a portal and says 'Let's eliminate them!"
Final Smash: Ancient Catastrophe/Indignation:
Ancient Catastrophe:Rita pauses and starts casting up a spell as the screen darkens. Large orbs appear around her as she starts casting. (Not near her, but not too far away) The orbs are red (fire) blue (ice) green (earth) and yellow (wind) Each orb does damage based on the color that hits. While casting, Rita still can take damage, but cannot be knocked out of it. At the end of the spell, everything explodes in a large white bast, hitting everything on screen. The incantation while using this is: 'O power that lies at the root of all creation, O memories inscribed in ages past. Hear my call and arise before me! Ancient Catastrophe!'
At the end of the spell, she crosses her arms and smirks. She says 'This is the fruit of research!' This leaves her wide open for a counter attack. This spell costs 5 pages from her book count. If she doesn't have enough pages to use it, the magic appears around her and this goes away, with her saying 'I'm not feeling so hot...'
Indignation:Rita spins around and dances with her scarf, shouting 'I who stand in the full light of the heavens, call upon thee who open-ith the gates of Hell! Come forth divine lightning! This ends now! Indignation!'
Lightning quickly homes in and strikes foes. It can be dodged easily, but if it hit, it does MASSIVE damage and has HIGH knockback. After the spell is over with, she crosses her arms and stands there for a few minutes.

Overview:I'm really hoping that people support Rita's crazy style. I was wanting to see something different from a character, so i came up with one myself. If people really are interested, i can post sprites of her, and have her different colors and such.
Let's get the name of 'Tales Of' out there and known! I'll put a 'support' counter up if I can get enough support though. I hope you guys and gals enjoy!
