- Reviews =/= popularity. Ok so Bit Trip and Isaac have comparable reviews... but not important.
As for a baby having an entire moveset, Isaac has scythes, bombs, ball and chain, lasers, knife, companions, flies, spiders, scissors, missiles, flask of holy water, poop, flaming candles, pills, cards... among other things. Unless you were talking about Baby Bros?
I honestly don't know what Commander Video can do. I thought his game was just an endless runner where he can float ala Peach? Using moves from the other Bit Trip games could work, but I'm not exactly sure what they are... Did you really need to include that Baby Bros bit in there? I don't mock your character threads. Unless I'm misunderstanding why you put that there. My point is that anyone can have a good moveset; we gave a dog a moveset. Video could be a summoner character, where he summons various things from his games or indie games alike. |

Was kind of reiterating your point there that anyone can have a moveset, but Isaac has a lot more to work with than you realize. |

| I was thinking about this whole indie thing... does any one indie character really deserve to be in over others? I could say Isaac has more popularity than most, you could say Commander Video has a trophy in smash, other people could say Max has a huge Nintendo relevence. (Let's just ignore Quote and Shovel Knight for now...)
What if we picked one well-known indie character that could represent ALL of indie gaming? Like, say, the Kid from I Wanna Be The Guy. Give him moves and abilities from every significant indie game (bombs from Isaac, float ability from Bit Trip, jetpack from Mutant Mudds, luchador throws from Guacamelee, etc), and we got ourselves a good indie rep.

| I would support Kid if he dies in one hit.
(I'm kidding by the way.) |

(I'm kidding by the way.) You shouldn't be. It's literally the main defining feature of his game. Honestly, the idea of having one indie character that mashes all the indies' moves seems lazy to me. Plus frustrating since it means we don't get the actual characters. - OmegaSteve777 wrote:

I would love to see someone try that. In fact, if someone can make a genuinely decent Endless Staircase moveset, I'll delete my Shovel Knight thread. In all seriousness, though, Endless Staircase could be a really cool stage. |

It's not 'We get the Kid or we get Max and Juan', it'd be a case of 'We get the Kid or we get nothing'. If the devs don't want a bunch of indie characters, just one that represents them all might be ok. I'm not saying to include Shovel Knight or Cave Story in said moveset, as they are fairly significant on their own. This would be more for the popular yet not as important indies. |

| Okay, putting it like that it makes more sense, so long as the moves are all really easily identifiable. |

| Hello! I am all for this idea, but I would like to show you my own Idea's, you don't have to use them, but I just want to let some know how I think he's move set should work.
First of all, his normal attacks should be his tears, kinda like how Mega-man's regular attacks are in Smash Bros. for WiiU. Next, for his side-smash, I feel like Death's Touches scythes would work for the side smash. His up smash: The only thing I could think of was if he used ???'s only friend for up-smashing people. Down smash: I feel like Mom's knife + Eye in the back of your head would work, seeing that eye in the back of your head + mom's knife gives you a permanent knife in the back of your head. His neutral-b would be the D6, but I'm not so sure what exactly it'd do.... Side-b would be the boomerang, like how link has his boomerang, but Isaac's freezes whoever he hits for a small amount of time, like in the game. Down-b would be bombs. Pretty self-explanatory, but I'll say it anyway, he lay's a bomb onto the ground, and after a while, it'll explode, like Link's bombs but you can't hold them. Up-B/recovery would be The Bible. since in the game, it allows you to fly, so in SSBC, it'll make Isaac fly upwards for a bit. And his Final Smash would be Brimstone, he'll transform into his Brimstone form for a limited amount of time, in this form, he can charge up a Brimstone laser to shoot at the other players. Anything attacks I missed are because I don't know what they could have,.

YEAH I MIGHT GET A MOVESET! (just kidding, I know that Azazel is a playable character in Binding of Issac) Also, I support this, but I do think more emphasis on projectiles would be better. However, LOVE the Tarot cards! |

Ice Climbers-Guys that swing their hammers around and jump. You know who else is a guy? Metroid! Too bad he cannot crawl, though... Seriously, Ice Climbers are one boy and one girl, and if one Nintendo source is not retconned yet, then Mach Rider is implied to be female as well. EDIT: Damn, I just noticed that I was late with that response. Anyway, I will wait until the moveset is finished before I can know whenever to support or not, but it DOES look promising. |

| I don't like Isaac's Tears being in the moveset... it makes him reliant on another move to charge it, and the result doesn't seem 'special' worthy - it could just as easily be a down smash.
Also, it'd probably be a good idea to include a couple Afterbirth items - Spear of Destiny could fit as any melee attack, Kidney Stone could be included in the forward smash at full charge, etc.
Not sure how this would be implemented, but maybe Down Special could involve Bumbo somehow... |
