| Red is a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town, Kanto. He is the first character to be playable in the Pokémon series and his initial appearance is set in the Generation I main games. He has since then made various appearances in Pokémon media, including the Generation III remakes of Red, Green, Blue, FireRed and LeafGreen. He became the official Kanto Pokemon League Champion. CharizardNspecial (Flamethrower):Charizard shoots a continuous stream of fire. Sspecial(Flare Blitz):Charizard rushes forward with fire surrounding him, powerfully hitting anything unfortunate to be in Charizard's way Uspecial(Fly):Charizard rises up while surrounded in flames DSpecial (Pokémon Change):Red Switches to Squirtle IvysaurSspecial (Razor Leaf):Ivysaur shoots a large, single leaf, knocking opponents back significantly for a ranged move. Nspecial(Bullet Seed):Ivysaur will send a barrage of seeds ascending from its bulb Uspecial (Vine Whip): Ivysaur lashes a pair of vines from its flower, which functions as both an attack and a Tether Recovery. Ivysaur will also gain some slight ascension. DSpecial (Pokémon Change):Red Switches to Charizard SquirtleNspecial (Warer Gun):Squirtle starts charging a stream of water DSpecial (Pokémon Change):Red Switches to Charizard Squirtle retreats inside its shell and speeds across the stage Uspecial (Waterfall):A torrent of water appears that Squirtle "surfs" on top of. Smash Final (Triple Finish):Red brings out all three of his Pokémon. Charizard then uses Fire Blast Squirtle uses Hydro Pump and Ivysaur uses SolarBeam - Support List = 2:

| Wait, what about switching POKéMON in mid-battle? Will that be occupied by the taunt button or what? |

| Do we not already have many Pokémon reps, one of which is a grass-type starter? Do we really need three more Pokémon in the game? |

| Can't say I support the idea of Red being his own fighter; I'd much prefer he work like he did Brawl. Partially because I really liked the Pokemon Trainer's dynamic and the way he worked in general, and because Red's a character who, if represented, should be represented properly, not as a joke character. Support for the initial idea, if Crusade could actually do that. |

| Yeah I stand my what I said earlier. We don't need three more Pokèmon, ESPECIALLY not from Gen 1. |

| Can't believe I didn't notice this suggestion till now.
Honestly, if this was in suggestion for the official Smash, I would say go for it. Not sure if its just me, but for some reason Charizard alone in Smash 4 feels like something is missing. I don't know if its cause I got use to Pokemon Trainer in Brawl or Charizard has some blandness to him.
Now, since this is in suggestion for Crusade, its a different story. I will have to say no cause of all the loading and lagging that would come with a 3 in 1 character. You know a player will not stick with just one character if playing as the Pokemon Trainer. They will want to switch. A player can switch to lag the match in vulnerable situations, creating an unfair game imo.

| I would say yes but 3 pokemons in 1 character would be lagging and would take lot of time to load and I didn't really like the change option when dying or the pokemons getting tired. If we have 3 pokemons as different characters then there would be lot of pokemons, specially from Gen 1 (even through i don't mind having all of them). Charizard alone would be... dissapointing imo, I would prefer a new fire type Pokemon. And I think Squirtle would be a better option because he isn't only a water type pokemon, but a water type character, I think Crusade needs more moves that use water on them and Squirtle or Greninja would be a cool option for that. |

| I have no issue with just Charizard, the character is fun to play as and is one of the most recognized Pokemon of the franchise. As it stands, Pokemon currently has 5 reps, with the types being electric, normal, psychic, fighting, steel, and grass. Having a water type and a fire type would be appropriate, but putting in Charizard and Squirtle would be unfitting do to Snivy's presence as the grass type.

| Lucario is a steel/fighting type, not psychic/fighting. Don't worry tho, I'm not upset with you I thought Suicune was ice type for YEARS.
Plus I think that if we get more Pokemon, it should be from a Generation that has no representation. Such as 3, 4, or 6. Having 3 more Gen 1 Pokemon is too much, but if we needed more Gen 1 Pokemon, it should be Charizard or Meowth. |

| Actually Pokémon has FIVE reps: Pikachu, Puff, Lucario, Mewtwo and Snivy (6 if you count Pichu).
@OmegaSteve: Mewtwo is the psychic type Leaf was referring to. |

| A Pokémon Trainer sounds interesting.
However, I'm suggesting him as a fighter at the stage, and using a Pokémon per superpower. About Triple Finish, there's no trouble XD. |

| So I was thinking about Pokemons that could remplace Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard's place and that were from Generations that aren't represented yet.
Fire Type: Blaziken (Gen III), Infernape (Gen IV). These are Fire and Fighting Pokemons. I'll only talk about Blaziken because we already have Lucario as a Gen IV Pokemon. So I think he could play with fast kicks and punches with fire (F-Smash could be Fire Punch), he could do some Scratches in some of his moves (F-tilt?) (Up-Smash?), Blaze kick could be his down air, Sky Uppercut his Up Special and Ember the Neutral Special. Of course, Flare Blitz would be his Side Special. About the Final Smash, it could be Mega Evolution and do a finishing move. I didn't think about a good Side Special, I thought about Double Kick but it isn't that special.
Water Type: Greninja (Gen VI) I don't have too much to say about this one, it was already in Smash 4, I couldn't find another Pokemon that is popular and water type at the same time. |
