Crazy Dave

From the hit series, Plants vs Zombies!

Relevance: Plants vs Zombies is one of the most popular franchises in existance at the moment, mainly thought of as an iOS game, it is also available on most consoles and is due to have a new AAA third person shooter released on the next gen consoles, this is a franchise that isn't going away any time soon.

What He'd Add: Crazy Dave would be the first character to my knowledge on the roster that is most well known from the fast growing tablet and smartphone market. His playstyle would involve planting special plants across the stage to help him in battle, making him a very unique fighter.

Moveset: As I say, he would revolve around planting plants to help him, here's how I see the moveset working.
Neutral Special: Dave plants a plant, the plant picked is determined by his Down Special.
Side Special: Dave grabs a lawn mower and mows down anybody in his way!
Up Special:  Summons and rides a Blover
Down Special: When pressed, a thought bubble of a different plant appears above Dave, this is how you pick which plant is dropped with the Neutral Special.
Final Smash: Dave's time machine sucks everybody back in time to Ancient Egypt, and are swarmed by Egyptian Zombies.

List of Plants
Peashooter: Standard plant, shoots peas straight forward.
Potato Mine: Explodes when enemy comes close.
Cabbage-pult: Fires cabbages in all directions towards enemies, slower and less powerful than Peashooter.
Bonk Choy: Punches enemies who get too close.
Blover: Blows enemies away, great for corner control.

Seven to one so far, I'd say early reception to the idea is pretty good

I personally believe this is a really good idea. But I heard that the roster is not changing anymore, so I don't know.

I'm really sure that there will still be the suggestion characters (Basicly the crusaDLC from before...) and we have a voting system so if Crazy Dave makes it onto the nominee list, he will have a chance to be in Crusade as a suggested character.

So any idea when this is going to end?

Back on topic, I don't think Crazy Dave could have a developed moveset based on what the OP has said, so I voted no.

While possibly others can make a better representation for the mobile gaming market, I'll go ahead and say yes.

I think it would be for the better if we pretend the mobile gaming market doesn't exist

red angry bird 4 crusade!!!

I would rather see an Angry Bird than this character to be honest. Luckily, it has Nintendo relevancy as well. So, I'm voting no for Crazy Dave.

I agree.
Since Angry Birds is also Miyamoto's favorite non-nintendo title, they'd probably be a better fit.

In my obvious support for Crazy Dave, I should say that while the Red Bird would be a great choice, there's no reason that if we have Crazy Dave, then the Red Bird is banned.

can't tell if you guys are serious about Red Bird or not, but I want both....
