Reasons:
1. Represents the series that the Konami Code debuted in.
2. Moai appears in various Konami titles, like R.O.B. for Nintendo.
3. Is an unconventional fighter.
4. Was playable in another 4-player fighting game, DreamMix TV World Fighters.

Izuna (Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja)

Spoiler:

Reasons:
1. She's a ninja, and we have very few of those. (Scorpion's the only one on the main roster; Sheik doesn't count)
2. She was playable in the DS fighting game, Windy X Windam.
3. She's hot.
4. Her series is a rougelike RPG series.

Raving Rabbid (Raving Rabbids) (NOTE: The series is no longer associated with Rayman.)

Reasons:
1. Rabbids are WILDLY popular.
2. 3 Rabbids were playable in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, so a moveset using moves from all three would be easy.
3. Rabbids fit right in Smash's crazy style.

Sir Arthur

1. Was rather popular and requested on the old forum.
2. He was in Marvel Vs Capcom 3, so a moveset would be easy.
3. He comes from one of the hardest games out there, of which we have none on the main roster unless you count Simon Belmont who only had an extremely hard beginning trilogy.

Reason:
1. It is one of Intelligent System's early games (the same Nintendo party that made Fire Emblem & the Nintendo Wars series.)

2. Will be a pleasant surprise for those who were fans of the GameBoy/NES/SNES era

3. Has the unique ability to transform to a frog and a snake. And unlike Shantae, he is a Nintendo property. he can also throw cash, cast spells, and a sword. A combination of an interesting move set.

4. Himself and other characters from his series have appeared in Brawl as a sticker, a cameo in Link's Awakening, and Wario Land 4.

5. The story of his series is based off a famous novel by Ernest Hemingway "For Whom The Bell Tolls"

6. Has had songs appeared in 2 Official Club Nintendo Japan Music CDs

7. A fairly well-received game in Japan.

8. We need true royalty on the roster, and Sabure Prince is the choice. lol

Im starting to get a really bad feeling on this whole dlc thing

I.M. Meen (I.M. Meen) (YES, it's a third party. It's a video game for the MOS-DOS system)

Reasons:
1. Very popular YTP character.
2. Comes from an educational game that is similar to Doom. (Needless to say, it fell flat on education, but the gameplay was praised.)
3. Provides a magic and comedic based moveset, and is a villain.
4. A true WTF character.
5. Appeared at the end of the game's "sequel", Chill Manor.

I have a bad feeling that characters like Lip, Takamaru, Tom Nook, and a selective others have no chance of winning this poll with such a massive amounts of 3rd parties.

I would like to UNsuggest Angry Birds, Izuna, and I.M. Meen.
The Birds for being, well, cliche and out of place.
Izuna for being a fanservice character, which we are trying to avoid.
I.M. Meen for, same reason as the Birds. Cliche and out of place.


Instead, I have one last suggestion.

Rash (Battletoads)

Spoiler:

Reasons:
1. Battletoads is a popular series, given it's insane difficulty.
2. If Rash and Ryu Hayabusa win the DLC poll, we will have the cast of Super Smash Bros. NES.
3. We can say that "Yes, Crusade has Battletoads!".
4. Rash can provide a unique moveset because he can form his arms and legs into weapons, and can grow them to attack with (like in cartoons).

...I suggest I.M. Meen then. :U

Reasoning:
1. The main protagonist in the Modern Warfare series and possibly the most popular character in the CoD franchise
2. CoD is the 7th best-selling video game franchise of all time.
3. Every CoD game since 3 has appeared on a Nintendo console.
4. Would make for a unique moveset, being a modern-day soldier.

I have edited the OP by removing Angry Birds and Izuna like I asked (seeing as I was the only one who suggested them), and added the last 4 suggestions; Sabure Prince by SmashKing, I.M. Meen by Generic, Rash by myself, and "Soap" by Brofist.
