That was really fun. Now, these aren't real, the artist freely admits this, it is purely a bit of speculatory art. But seriously, I really want this to be real. Also, 2ch has already attempted a fake Pokémon reveal. Supposed to be a side evolution of Pikachu, along with Raichu. |

Woaaaaah, Froakie's final form is looking pretty awesome. I only hope his actual evolution will be up to par, a water/fighting type would be a nice change of pace. |

| If I had to guess, by the final evolution it would go like this.
Froakie: Water/Fighting Fennekin: Pure Fire Chespin: Grass/Ground |

fudge this feces why other Fire/Fighting starter fudge you game freak. If it was real, then it would be on Serebii or Bulbapedia by now. Every Pokemon generation, there is always a myriad of fake Pokemon. Nintendo are always very good as not leaking Pokemon. We won't see any new ones until Nintendo wants us to. |

That's really not new. All starters with the exception of Bulbasaur are pure in their typing in their basic form. |

| New Pokémon revealed (Official, not faked, it appeared publically in CoroCoro magazine) It is called Ninfia, and it is the 8th Eevee evolution. All Japanese Eeveelutions end in "ia", so it's very likely it'll be localised to "Ninfeon" or something similar. |

| "Ninfia or Nympheon is the first of two Eevee evolutions to be introduced in Pokemon X and Y. Much like Umbreon in Gen II was one of the first known Dark type pokemon, Nympheon of Gen VI is one of the first Light type pokemon. Much like the Dark, Pyschic, Fighting and the Grass, Water, Fire trinities, Light pokemon complete a trinity with Dragon and Steel types. As when Magnemite and Magneton retroactively had Steel added to their types, most of the Fairy egg group will have Light added as a secondary type, such as Chansey, Audino, and Clefairy.
Thanks to Tinsares for digging into the official pokemon X and Y website source code for this." don't take this as credible but it's worth pondering over |

| I don't see how Light would make a trinity with Dragon and Steel the same way Water/Fire/Grass and Dark/Psychic/Fighting are. Steel is only resistant to Dragon, not super effective, which makes a trinity involving those two types impossible already.
I'd say it's false. |

I'd say it's false. You never know when they could change up how some types work... hell, they changed the phys/spec. attack system in gen 3 (thank God they did), that was a major revamp of how the game's combat worked. |

| Det hit the nail on the head; it's got to be false.
The only reason why we got Dark and Steel to begin with was for balance purposes. Adding another Type at this point is pointless. And with the Dark Type (or Evil Type as it's known in Japan) focusing on more or less dirty trick fighting, introducing a "Light Type" does not make any lick of sense.
Dark already has its counterpart in the Fighting Type, which is why the type is super-effective against it. Because trained fighters using martial arts are superior to untrained fighters relying on dirty tricks.
As for the trinity concept, there is holes in that logic. Dragon may be one of the many types Steel resists, but Steel is not super-effective against Dragon either. For a trinity to work, either type must be super effective against the other to be able to fit in Light.
So now that it's pretty much horseshit, discussion about it can end. |

| Discussion about the trinity can end, but now the idea has been brought up, I can really see Ninfia being a Light Type, it seems the most logical. |
