This is actually a unique character.
The blob will fight in the battlefield while the boy will toss him jellybeans the blob can eat up and transform into different objects.
Heres how it works: when you press Down B, the boy in the background (like the pokemon trainer) will toss a random jellybean onto the field (there can only be up to 3 jellybeans on the field. 2 Weapon jellybeans and 1 recovery jellybean). Only the blob can pick them up but they last on the field for a short time. The blob can hold up to 3 weapon jellybeans and can switch between them by pressing side B (even while hes moving). When the blob picks up a jellybean, the color of the jellybean will represent the following weapon he can use by pressing B:

-punch-flavored jelly bean (red): Blob transforms into a platform hole, meaning that anyone who walks on it falls through and cannot go up back through the hole. This is a 5% chance but can easily punish players
-grape-flavored jelly bean (purple): Blob transforms into a wall, repelling any physical attack
-Tangerine-flavored jelly bean (orange): Blob transforms into a Trampoline, bouncing any players who touches it upwards
-Coconut-flavored jelly bean (White): Blob transforms into a Coconut. This allows Blob to roll around and damage foes it comes into contact with
-Apricot-flavored jelly bean (Apricot): Blob transforms into a Anvil. Like Kirby's Down B, Blob falls as an Anvil and performs heavy damage on any foe it falls on
-Bubble Gum-flavored jelly bean (Light pink): Blob transforms into a Bouncy Ball. Blob can move while bouncing, damaging any foes it comes in contact with
-Banana-flavored jelly bean (Light Yellow): Blob transforms into a Cannon. Any player that comes into contact with it will go inside the Cannon and will get shot out of the cannon with damage and knockback.
-Mint-flavored jelly bean (Light Green): Blob will form a Clone/Decoy of himself for a short time. The Clone/Decoy will disappear if it gets attacked
-Plum-flavored jelly bean (Red/Purple-ish): Blob will grow big (not big as giant effect) and gets 0.2x bonus effect in strength but is slow on speed and recovery
Remember that once the jelly bean is used, it does not stay there anymore. You must use every Jellybean wisely to your own advantage.
Also, the Blob can pick up only one recovery jellybean. It will be used with Up B. Here are the recovery jellybeans:

-Blueberry-flavored jelly bean (Dark blue): Blob will transform into a Balloon and float up
-Licorice-flavored jelly bean (Dark grey): Blob will transform into a Ladder. It will act like tether recovery
-Root Beer-flavored jelly bean (Yellow-Brown-ish): Blob will transform into a Rocket and can fly in any direction for a short time. This is a 5% chance jellybean
-Cola-flavored jelly bean (Dark brown): Blob will transform into a Bubble. Unlike the balloon, it floats up way faster and instead of being popped when hit, it bounces when in contact with something.
-Pear-flavored jelly bean (Lime green): Blob will jump and transform into a Parachute, slowly descending down.
These last longer than the weapon jellybeans. Twice used, they're gone (except the Root beer one).
If the Blob is knocked out, all the jellybeans in the Blob's inventory vanishes.
Final Smash: Gold Jelly bean. The boy will throw the golden jellybean directly at Blob as he instantly collects it. The blob transforms into a giant doorway and swallows whoever is within the doorway's radius. He then constantly chews them up and spits them out with heavy damage and knockback in a random direction.
