Well, I already made Duck Hunt's stuff awhile back, so lemme show 'em:
Basically, it's Duck Hunt. I didn't bother un-8-bitting it because it would take away nostalgia.
The match starts with the Duck Hunt Fanfare (included as an ogg in the folder) which does not belong in the music folders, but in the stage folder. Once the fanfare is done playing, it would then play a song randomly from Duck Hunt's music folder (it would not start with any music, because Duck Hunt did not have background music).
When I made this stage, the Dog was not on the roster, so he would've appeared here. If you include him as a stage extra, he would act just as he always did in the game. You would be able to KO him with a powerful attack when he laughs.
I'm sorry I only included animations for the basic duck and not the other colors- I figured Game Maker could randomly colorize them at the stage.
This already includes all of the appropriate Duck Hunt sound effects. Some of these the Dog would use in his character.
I did extend the stage, so it's a good size.
I DID think that if we wanted a more unique stage to compliment the Zapper, we could have Hogan's Alley instead or both. I would totally make this stage too.

| Well, its good that we expand the stage since it is an open outdoor area. Plus the hunter's target needs the space to shoot while players have space to escape.
Also, I think we could add in some outdoor elements to make it less flat. Stuff like rocks, mountains, rivers, ponds, logs. |

| It's the basic Duck Hunt stage, nothing special about it at all, really.
And we don't need two NES Zapper game stages, that's kinda dumb. |

| Was there anything else in that download other than the image of the stage?
Maybe we can add more to it or leave it as it is. we can stand on the trees and the bush. lol. |

| I still think it would be interesting to use the score things as platforms, as well as the bush and/or trees. It would set it apart from the other NES-style stages. |

| The score things are underneath the ground, it'd be weird to drop under the ground to stand on them. |

| Who would thought that a stage so simple would be in such a debate? lol
I dont think the scoreboard being a platform would make sense or work. I think that we should either expand the stage to add in more environmental platforms or just leave it as it is with the tree and bush being the only platforms.
Having ducks fly out of the bushes and the hunter aiming at the players already enough to make the stage less dull. |

| I decided to expand the Duck Hunt stage. What you guys think? Just click the spoiler to view it. The trees and bushes act as standing platforms. The reason the stage is big is because it needs the space for the Ducks to roam around as well as the Target to move around freely. - Spoiler:

| You know, if you added a scrolling cloud backround, rain, and some occaisional lightnin' strikes, that'd be one EPIC stage. |

Personally I like this shading (or lack thereof) much better for a stage based directly off the game. 75 M wasn't shaded like DK in Brawl. Mario Bros. wasn't shaded like Mario and Luigi. The Gyromite stage isn't shaded like R.O.B. This works just fine. |

| This is the target that will move around the stage looking for a fighter or a duck to shoot. The large part of the target will be the original size of it that will move around the stage. The smaller one is when a shot has been fired. Red Duck flying vertically. Red Duck flying horizontally. Red Duck shot. Red Duck fall. Black Duck flying horizontally. Black Duck flying vertically. Black Duck shot. Black Duck fall. Blue Duck flying horizontally. Blue Duck flying vertically. Blue Duck shot. Blue Duck fall. So, since the stage will stay the way it is currently, I'm guessing the ducks will be non-shaded also correct? I would suggest this. Bullet Shot. Background Foreground Also, I already have the complete duck sprites, only thing I will have to make is the target that moves around the stage. Other than that, this stage will be ready Det, can you confirm DHD and this stage for the next demo on the dojo thread? |
