I think you should focus on making your shading less banded, this will improve the readability of your sprites.

I'm not trying to be snooty, but asking for legitimate clarification.  Are you referring to the gradiation that I use in places such as on Kat's thigh where it meets her shorts?  
From my understanding of banding, that's when visible stripes form, while in that example it's more of a blur to me.

Also, could you tell me which of my sprites you find worst in terms of readability?  Definitely Baruka and Kat in my opinion, but I'd like to hear yours.

EDIT:  I looked into a bit, and fixed some of the more glaring banding.  Not sure how I feel.

I want king dedede, bandana dee, galacta knight, astro boy, bowser jr, shovel knight, neku, silver, giana / punk giana, giana, villager, zelda / sheik, king k rool, diddy kong, funky kong, dixie kong, raichu, inklings, sanic, cloud, bubsy, protoman, bass, zero, megaman x, paper mario, Banjo-Kazooie, metal sonic.
