| His Dspecial causes the opponent to be afflicted with a flashing red status which will cause them to randomly and often go into tumble state if in the air, or immediately into the down state if they are on the ground. |

| It's curious that Tingle could be added to Crusade, and I'm saying this because he was unexpected, and I'm saying this because he's one of the less popular characters of The Legend Of Zelda Series.
However, after playing a few battles with him, I discovered that he's a good fighter, due to his comedic moves and personality.
I don't know why some people dislike him; however, I can say without troubles that he isn't that bad after all... |

| He's unpopular in America, but wildly popular in Japan and has his own spin-off series. |

| Tingle is literally the best character in Nintendo history. If we didn't include him we'd be doing you all a huge disservice. |

| I love that Tingle exists and is in the game.
That said, having played Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, I feel like his nspec should probably be changed. Not only is it not a particularly great move, but having him throw Rupees runs counter to his whole character. If anything, he should drop them when hit, since Rupees act as health in Rosy Rupeeland. |

| Now that I've gotten J2K working on my computer so I can play this game properly, as one of the few Tingle fans in the Western hemisphere I have Opinions on his Crusade set. I like it all in all, but there's some things that need to be changed.
- His nspec sucks, frankly. It's sort of useful for edgeguarding, but other than that it's just kind of a crappy projectile. Plus, it doesn't fit his character at all - he's kind of a greedy bastard (albeit not on Wario's level), it doesn't make sense for him to be just throwing away rupees - they're his health in Rosy Rupeeland, even! For an improvement, I'd look to Hyrule Warriors - one of his Charge attacks (where he normally throws bombs) occasionally has him drop rupee-shaped bombs instead. Adding a little fuse to the Rupees and causing them to explode after a while - even when they've hit the floor - would make for a much more useful projectile and zoning tool, as well as representing his character better.
- His dspec also sucks, but it's not quite as easy to fix. It's unclear what the hell it even does, and even when you figure it out it's just kind of a pointless move. I'd suggest changing it entirely to his Strong Attack from Hyrule Warriors - in the original, he inflated and popped a balloon, giving him a wind effect that turned his next dodge near an enemy into a special attack. Though the full attack would be a bit much for Smash, having his dspec make his next roll/spotdodge/airdodge have a damage hitbox (or even become a pseudo-counter) would be a much more useful and interesting move, and even play into his existing air game fairly well.
- His dash needs to be changed to his Hyrule Warriors dash, where he sticks his arms out to the side like an airplane and prances while confetti springs from his ass. This is borderline nonnegotiable.
I can't find a good video for the rupee bombs, but in this video he uses the strong attack at around 0:40, and goes into a dash at around 1:40.

Anyways, Tingle is really fun to play. Haven't played Crusade in a long while so I can't comment much though. |

| Apologies if this is considered a bump. I figured that since it's a character topic, it wouldn't necessarily follow the same rules as anything else. - Kzinssie wrote:

I like this idea, but I'm a sucker for subtle attention to detail type things. Originally, in the SKTAR 2 build (when Tingle was first added) the Rupee move was extremely good. It had little cooldown, which made it quite spammable. When it was nerfed, I suggested that, as a reference to Rupees essentially being his life force, it should do recoil damage instead of adding more endlag. Not sure if that would have fixed the problem, but it wasn't added anyway. I would like to mention though, that Tingle's neutral special is a reference to the final boss fight of Rupeeland, where Tingle shoots Rupees as projectiles. (Not sure if you get a game over if you run out of ammo or not, but I've never played Rupeeland myself...) Just wanted to provide some insight on where the move came from. - Pointless Trivia:
(This was originally supposed to be his Final Smash, but I changed it to the current one, because I felt there were too many transforming final smashes, and I was extremely lazy and didn't want to animate Tingle flying in 8 different directions. At least Pink Tingle is a palette swap, right?)
I'm completely game for seeing Tingle get some updates though. My animations, as always, are outdated and amateurish, and his moveset was made before Hyrule Warriors came out. ---------------------------- Also, completely unrelated, but if the Gangnam Style taunt is still in the game, please remove it. It wasn't funny when it was added, and isn't funny now. I mean, if you guys like it, then by all means, keep it. |

Pretty sure the damage increases depending on the color. For example, green ones in the Zelda games are worth 1 so they deal 1 damage iirc. |

| Tingle was a weird decission for Crusade, althought he turned out to be good and some moves are easy to recognise from him, like the side throw, it's basically from Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, but I still don't know what the side-b is based off, it looks way too weird for me.
Besides that, he's a fun character to play! |

| He swings a money bag for some of his moves in Hyrule Warriors. Maybe that could be implemented for his smashes? Definitely help with his range issues. (Also, give him that ridiculous move where he rolls forward and drops a golden statue of himself for his dash attack) |
