Food Sound Effects?

I hear no noise when someone eats a food.
Is this intentional?

In Brawl and Melee, they either said something or a sound effect played.

Examples: Snake - someines says Yum when eating food (Brawl)

Wasn't Snake the only one who said something when he ate food? I think that was a reference to MGS3.

I'm pretty sure Sonic said something too.

And a sound effect played with all characters.

He didn't.
Snake is the only character to say something, as it's a direct reference to MGS3.

Are you at least going to add said sound effect?

Are they really that necessary? It's not like the game is suffering by not having them.
