Should Onett come back?

As we all know, Onett was removed from Crusade's 0.8 stage roster. Do you think it should come back, or are you glad that it's gone?

I myself don't really miss it, since its sprites were terrible and that it was very glitchy. Although, if these issues can be amended, then I have no problem with it returning.

No. Reason being that BluePsychic has the idea to have Magicant, which would be a MUCH better stage to rep Ness, as well as Mother 1.

I think if we could render out the main parts rather than keeping a single image, it would look better. We'd also have to not pull a Phantom by not resizing it.

If Onett comes back then two of the EarthBound stages are veteran. Seeing as EarthBound will most likely have three stages, that make TWO of THREE stages veteran. Seriously? Mario only has ONE or TWO veteran stages. Also, the way I see it, it would be perfect if Onett does not return, because, we have Fourside (Past Stage, Reps Mother 2), Magicant (Reps Mother 1, and Mother 2), Mother 3 stage (Reps Mother 3). If this is how is boils down, we rep all three Mother Games, AND we have a past stage. Onett ruins this. If Onett comes back, we have not only two veteran stages, but two EarthBound stage, leaving NO room for a stage to rep Mother 1.

Instead...Onett should be DLC. And get a resprite.

No. Since it was removed, it would make more sense if it returned as DLC.

No, not really. Whoever decided that Mute City MUST be the Melee version is stupid, as we already have an F-Zero Melee past stage. We should come up with our own Mute City design.

No, not really. Whoever decided that Mute City MUST be the Melee version is stupid, as we already have an F-Zero Melee past stage. We should come up with our own Mute City design.

Another point that makes no sense at all. Mute City being Melee version or ot has nothing in the slightest to do with the fact that it reps the original F-Zero

Actually, you disputed my point about representation, then went on to make unrelated statements instead of backing up your view. See bolded statements
Unless by saying "no, not really" you actually meant that your earlier point was in fact invalid

I must have said things wrong. IMO, no series should have 2/3's of their stages be past stages. We can be more original than that. If there is a way we can bring Onett back while still having two new stages, go for it. Going off of my statement in this post, Mute City should be redesigned not like the Melee version, but our own unique design.

But that is true, my argument about the past stage thing is invalid, if Mute City is to be the Melee version. (Which I feel we should avoid.)

Now that I have clarified things, I still stand by my earlier position of NO, even though it seems Onett will be back anyway.

Why is it only invalid if we go off the Melee version? Even if we redesign it, that doesn't change which game it most represents

True. I just want to avoid using multiple past stages from the same series. Thats why I want a redesign.

As much as I'd love to see Onett again. I agree with the fact that we shouldn't have more returning stages then new ones.

So I'll have to say no.

I don't think Onett should return. Not only because it ruins potential representation as it has been mentioned earlier, the stage is not working well with the current engine, even when the engine has gotten revamps. Onett shouldn't return anyway, it's an ugly looking stage! And it's not that fun to fight on either.
