Sense Shantae is a new Fighter for SSBC, I feel like we need more attention to other indies out there.

Who doesn't know Shovel Knight, he fits so well with Smash 4, Flash 2 & Crusade. Of course we would need custom sprites unless we want him to take his 8bit appearance. Shovel Knight should be a strong fighter who can jump higher than the other hard hitters but is a steady speed on the ground. (not to fast and not too slow) Most of his attacks will be close range but the will be some to use at a distance. Like Megaman, many of his specials could be based on the weapons he gets in game.

Neutral Special - Flare Wand
Right off the bat Shovel Knight can fire one large projectile that can cause heavy damage and knockback. However; once it's used, the player will have to wait for use it again. There is no need to charge, but there is a waiting time between uses. Just like most projectiles, it can be reflected.

Side Special - Dust Knuckles
Shovel Knight can use this weapon to slightly move himself horizontally and continue the attack 3 times before the chain ends. This can also be used as a recovery. You can choose to use all 3 hits or just one. It would be perfect for chaining combos. However, Shovel Knights backside will be exposed for heavy attacks.

Down Special - War Horn
A Chargeable attack that grows in power, number of hits and range. Similar to Marth's neutral special, the charge cannot be saved for later. If someone is physically touching SK, they use a shield and he uses the fully charged War Horn than it would instantly break the shield. However; if they're in range of the attack using a shield and not touching him, than the move can be successfully blocked.

Up Special - Mobile Gear
One the ground, Shovel Knight will right the Mobile Gear horizontally in that direction and attack anyone in his path. He can freely jump off or be beaten off of it. If someone else grabs the gear as an item then they will begin riding it. However; it's harder for other players to stay on. If a lonely MG is on the ground and SK (or another player using Shovel Knight) uses the attack, that the lonely one will disappear. The only time it won't is when it's used in the air.

In the Air it's similar to King DeDeDe's jump attack. Where Shovel Knight makes a leap in the air with the attack. Anyone under him when falling will surely regret it.

Final Smash - CATCH HER!
Shovel Knight turns into his 8bit for and is only limited to his normal moves used in the game but instead they will be even more powerful. Random enemies from the game will also appear on the stage. While they can be beaten by Shovel Knight, they cannot harm him. Eventually Shield Knight will fall from the top of the stage and as time slows down, it's your chance to grab her with a finishing attack of epic proportions. However; if you fail to catch her the move will end there.

Up Smash - Similar to his victory Pose after beating a boss and Marth's up smash.

Side Smash - A pile of jewels will appear and shovel knight will shovel them (based on the piles of jewels you can collect)

Down Smash - Fishing Rod
This move will make Shovel Knight sit on the ground as the end of the rod slams to the ground. If on the edge of a platform then the move can be used as an edge guard as it will fall passed the said platform and on to the next. But if there is none than it will go off stage and come back up (if this happens a small apple trote will flop from the boundary as a small reference) However; the farther it goes, the longer it takes to come back leaving him open for another attack.

Combo - A 3 hit combo with the wicked shovel

Side Tilt - The normal shovel attack from the game

Up Tilt - A single slash over top of him using Black Knight's Shovel

Down Tilt - Smacks his Shovel on the ground

Dash Attack - Propeller Dagger (acts like the front air attack but will actually move SK forward)

Neutral Air - the normal shovel attack used while jumping in the game

Down Air - Same as Toon Link's down air like in the game.

Front Air - Propeller Dagger
causing multiple hits but will not move SK like in the game

Up Air - Throwing Anchor
A projectile air attack like Megaman's upair in Smash 4 and Villagers front and back air from Smash 4. But this one will only go up for a short time and fall the rest of the way down once gravity takes it's toll.

Back air -

Grab&Pummle - We beat the opponent with the flat end of the shovel.

Front Throw - A single slash of the shovel sended the oppenent away.

Back Throw - Similar to the front throw but with Black Knight's Shovel. Adding more damage but having less knockback.

Up Throw - Shovel Knight tosses them in the air with his shovel like they were dirt

Down Throw - Alchemy Coin
Causing multiple damage to the opponent but not sending them far.

Alternate Colors
Default/Blue Team - Stalwart Plate (Shovel Knight's Cyan armor)
Red Team - Final Guard
Green Team - Toad Gear (based on the battle toad Xbox Exclusive content)
Conjurer's Coat (Purple)
Black Knight's Armor (Black)
Ornate Plate (Gold)

So how is that? .3. Does that seem like a fun moveset. I kinda just made it all up at once so I'm sorry if it's not that great.

But feel free to suggest your ideas in the established thread; obviously no guarantee they'll be incorporated, but I'll definitely look at them, once they're there.

Is this the kind of post that gets locked? Or is it just left for the author to delete?
