Making the game faster

Hi, I have a question. I play the game and I love it. but I was wondering is there anyway to make the game run faster aside of using frameskip? please let there be a way, I wanna play like everyone else does.

Make sure you run the game with V-Sync off. Shut down any unnecessary applications. Try either switching the process priority to the higher one, disabling your visual theme/desktop composition or switching the resolution of the display and the game down.
