I feel like having omega stages like in Smash 4 would help some of our current stages that have no competitive use. We could add omega versions for only the stages which need them. This could add more flavor to competitive play.

I don't think that it would be that smart to copy Omega stages. After all, it gives lots of ground characters such as Captain Falcon/Sonic a HUGE advantage over characters who require platforms for best gameplay.

We're doing something similar, as seen in Manhole and the new Balloon Fight Stage, flipping the hazard switch changes the layout to be more competitive-oriented.

I didn't say copy every single one. And it also doesn't mean we can't work a ruleset around it.
