| Ok if we have 3 reps from street fighter and one is Ryu alt Evil Ryu who has similar attacks to Ryu and its his dark side why not having another 3th rep from kid icarus who was similar to Pit's attack but some are weaker and some are more powerful to Pit's and its pis dark side obviously (I know i am posting the characters to fast but if i don't post all the rest of SSB4 remaining i think no one will post them so i will do it its no problem for me but you have to know that i am doing a good effort with ssb4 remaining characters ) Neutral attack:A triple slash ending in an uppercut. If the attack button is mashed, Dark Pit will spin his bow instead, hitting multiple times and ending in an upwards swipe. Forward tilt:Dark Pit closes his blades onto the opponent in a scissor slash. Slightly weaker knockback than Pit's. Up tilt:Dark Pit flip kicks upwards, before correcting himself and kicking again. Decent knockback. Down tilt:Dark Pit swipes one blade across the ground in front of him. Relatively high chance of tripping the enemy. Dash attack:A running slash downwards with his bow. Sends foes upward. Forward smash:Dark Pit separates his blades and slashes, before quickly putting them back and slashing again. The second hit carries all of the knockback. Up smash:A leaping triple slash to the sky. Similar to Link's up smash but is noticeably faster and weaker. Down smash:Dark Pit stabs the ground in front of, then behind him. Slower than Pit's. Neutral aerial: Dark Pit uses his bow as a buzz saw, hitting rivals with the blades outstretched. Can nullify weak projectiles. Forward aerial:Dark Pit spins his bow horizontally in front of him, slashing foes multiple times before launching them diagonally. Back aerial:A reverse dual-bladed thrust. Has the longest range and the strongest knockback of Dark Pit's aerials. Up aerial:Spins his bow above him like helicopter blades. Fairly difficult to land. Down aerial:Dark Pit swipes a blade below him. Can meteor smash if sweetspotted at the move's start. Pummel:A quick knee jab. Forward throw:Slashes away the opponent. Dark Pit's strongest throw. Capable of KOing at high percentage. Back throw:Dark Pit spins around with the opponent trailing behind and slams them on the ground behind him. Up throw:Dark Pit rolls on his back and handstand kicks the enemy. Down throw:Dark Pit quickly pins the enemy to the ground before bringing his bow down on their back like an axe. Neutral special:Dark Pit fires a purplish-black arrow from his bow. Can be slightly angled up or down while flying and can be aimed up while charging. Side special:Dark Pit brings out his Electroshock Arm and charges forward, powerfully uppercutting the enemy. This move can deflect projectiles and sends them back at a roughly 45 degree angle. Up special :Dark Pit's wings glow blue and he gains the ability to fly for approximately 3 seconds. He can cancel out the move by performing an aerial attack, which won't leave him helpless, but prevents him from using any unconsumed jumps and the same move again until he lands. Down special: Dark Pit pulls out his shield and crouches down while holding it in front of him. The shield can be angled up or down to reflect attacks. Any projectiles reflected would go flying back towards the user at x1.7 the original speed. When initially brought out, the shield gives launch resistance and can reverse enemies when they attempt to attack Dark Pit. Final Smash:Dark Pit pulls out his namesake weapon and fires an extremely long range and powerful laser, much like Zelda/Sheik's Light Arrow. Opponents are sent flying diagonally, and the closer they are to Dark Pit when the Final Smash activates, the stronger the impact. Taunt:Stands, facing towards his opponent, before pointing his split blade towards them while saying "Game on!". Idle:Holds blades together as a bow, then pulls them apart. One last thing i used 2 of Pit special from brawl just to change a little moveset with Pit are the Up special and the Down special just to say |

| Wait, a Dark Pit as semi-clone now? Eh, I think he needs more differences from regular Pit. Plus, even though Pit is a given in Crusade, he still needs to be revealed first before we can suggest secondary characters from the franchise. |

| If we're going to include Dark Pit, can we please differentiate him? There's so many weapons in Kid Icarus Uprising, surely Dark Pit can make a moveset from that... |

I have literally been thinking about a GOOD Dark Pit moveset for about a month now, using a bunch of different weapons and Pit's Brawl moveset. But then this thread happened...sigh. |

| Also since when does Dark Pit have a shield Guys wait for just a while and I'll post a good moveset Okay here we go Dark Pit (Kid Icarus: Uprising) - Spoiler:
Dark Pit is Pit's flawed clone from Kid Icarus: Uprising, created from Pandora's Mirror of Truth. After defeating Pandora together with Pit, he steals Pandora's powers which grants him unlimited flight powers. He then appears from time to time in the game, either helping Pit or fending him off. He was a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS, however his moveset in that game is nearly identical to Pit's moveset. So here I am today, to declone his moveset as much as possible. Some ideas Since Dark Pit is a flawed clone of Pit, I suggest that most of his moves take inspiration from Brawl Pit, since his moveset changed drastically from Brawl to Smash 4. He will also use many different weapons like in Kid Icarus: Uprising, however no weapons that he is not seen using in the story. That means the Electroshock Arm and Guardian Orbitars are gone.
I also want him to equip different weapons by using attacks, which would change up his Neutral Special. You'll see what I mean later on. The Moveset Jab: Dark Pit slashes upwards with his Silver Bow, then splits the Bow into two blades and slashes downwards with both blades at the same time. The first hit deals 3% damage, and the final hit deals 5% and spikes the opponent (Soft-spikes in the air). Can easily be broken out of. Equips the Silver Bow. Side Tilt: Slashes horizontally with the First Blade, like Shulk's Smash 4 Side Tilt. Has similar attributes to that move too, but doesn't equip any weapon. Down Tilt: Dark Pit shoots a weak sparkle of energy diagonally downwards with the Dark Pit Staff. Has a slight bit of start and ending lag and deals 9% damage, knocking the opponents straight up. Also deals electrical damage and equips the Dark Pit Staff. Up Tilt: After heaving for a slight second, he lifts the Ogre Club straight up and deals 12% damage. Has insane knockback for a tilt, but has equally as insane end lag for a tilt. Equips the Ogre Club. Dash Attack: Dashes forward and slashes, like Pit's dash attack. Uses the First Blade instead of the Silver Bow however, and doesn't equip any weapon whatsoever.
Smash attacks Side Smash: Same as Pit's, but faster and slightly weaker. Equips the Silver Bow. Up Smash: Charges the Dark Pit bow for a short while, then fires a slow-moving beam shot upwards. Has the same range as Palutena's Up Smash, if not a bit thinner. Deals 12% at the start of the animation, 15% in the middle of the animation and 20% at the very end. Equips the Dark Pit staff. Down Smash: Holds his Ogre Club above his head like in Ike's Side Smash (With even more startup) then slams it down on the ground. Has massive ending lag too, but deals 19% damage with amazing knockback. Equips the Ogre Club.
Aerial attacks Nair: Dark Pit slowly spins his Ogre Club around, which hits both in front and behind him like Samus's Smash 4 Nair. Both hits deal 10% damage with surprisingly quick startup. The second hit has slightly more knockback, but both hits still have great knockback. Equips the Ogre Club. Fair: Awkwardly swipes forward with the end of the Dark Pit staff, with similar range to Luigi's Fair. Unlike that move, however, it has a slight sweetspot in the middle of the animation. The sweetspot will active a second phase of the move where the foe is knocked below Dark Pit, who will then proceed to Meteor Smash with a shot from the Dark Pit staff. The sourspot deals 2% damage, the sweetspot deals 5% and the shot deals 12%. Has barely any startup, but a decent amount of endlag. Equips the Dark Pit staff. Bair: The same as Pit's Bair in Smash 4. Equip the Silver Bow. Dair: Slashes downwards with the First Blade in a similar arc to Pit's Dair, but with slightly more range. Deals 9% damage and is surprisingly quick. Doesn't equip anything. Uair: Same as Pit's Brawl Up Air, which is essentially his SSB4 Up Air but with no finisher Equips the Silver Bow as well.
Specials Neutral Special: Now this is where things get interesting! Dark Pit will have three entirely seperate Neutral Specials, depending on what weapon is equipped. Let's start off with... Neutral Special 1: Silver Bow. Works the same way as it does in Smash 4, but a bit more powerful. Neutral Special 2: Dark Pit Staff. Dark Pit pulls out the Dark Pit staff and shoots directly in front of him, like in his SSB4 final smash. Unlike that final smash, however, this attack isn't a OHKO. It deals the same damage as his Up Smash, and has the range of R.O.B's 2nd neutral special. Neutral Special 3: Ogre Club. After charging for a while, Dark Pit swings the Ogre Club in front of him like the Ore Club item and shoots a large, slow and shadow-y ball forward. The initial swing deals 22% damage, and the orb deals 13%.
Side Special: Rapidfire Club. Dark Pit dashes forward while swinging the Ogre Club in front of him, like Pit's Brawl Side B. Unlike that move, this move hits once per second and deals 10% for each hit. Equips the Ogre Club.
Down Special: Pandora's Protection. Dark Pit kneels down and pushes his wings in front of him, which begin to glow with a dark blue-ish color like Pandora, which will then reflect any projectiles coming in from the front like Pit's Mirror Shield in Brawl. Doesn't equip any weapon.
Up Special: Power of Flight. Like in the Down Special, Dark Pit's wings start glowing with a blue light. He is then able to fly around freely like Pit's Brawl Up B. This one lasts a bit longer though, and doesn't lead into a glide. Doesn't equip any weapon.
Final Smash: I dunno. I have a lot of ideas, like him bringing out the Lightning Chariot or flying around while shooting like Diddy Kong, but I don't know which one to use. Let me know what you think we should use! Other stuff Entrance: Dark Pit stands facing away from the camera, then turns his head towards the screen and says "Hey" like his first appearance in Uprising. (Maybe even "Hey there, Pit stain!" if he's fighting Pit?) He then enters a battle stance. Taunt: Points forward with his Silver Arrow, exclaiming "Bring it on!" before doing so. Get up attack/Ledge attack: Same as Pit's. Victory theme: Smash 4 nailed it Victory pose: Dark Pit crosses his arms and says "You've mistaken me for the other guy. This Pit's no pawn"
There we go. First step is Pit, then we'll await Dark Pit! |

| Well, Pit should be a given, mainly because of a combination of those 3: *leftover files *Smash veteran *relevance Those three points mean nothing when viewed seperately, but when viewed together, than I think it would make absolutely NO sense to NOT include Pit, because all three points are true for him. |

Technically, he can use any weapon since he's playable in Chapter 22... but aside from that, I understand where you're going. That leaves 6 weapons: Silver Bow, Dark Pit Staff, Ogre Club, EZ Cannon, First Blade, Violet Palm. Would be nice if all 9 weapon types were there (meaning Electroshock Arm, Guardian Orbitars, and some kind of Claw - there's even Pandora and Viridi claws!), but I guess it's not a big deal. The moveset is pretty neat, using a 3 weapon mechanic... though there is one problem with it. How would this be done, sprite-wise? You'd have to sprite every standard animation (running, jumping, etc) 3 times! I think that's a bit much for a character like Dark Pit (someone most people wouldn't care to put that much effort on). Maybe there's a better idea for a neutral special? Side special is pretty generic... don't really care for it, and it seems awkward for the club weapon to be used in a rapid hit move. Up special should be purple, not blue (matches his look in Uprising). I feel like Pandora wouldn't really protect Dark Pit... maybe green for Viridi instead? Speaking of Viridi, maybe she could fit in for the Final Smash, taking Pit's Brawl final smash and subbing in Viridi and the forces of nature. On the other hand, it doesn't really fit Dark Pit's loner nature... so the chariot is a good choice. |

| Well, we could just have him tuck away his weapon whenever he's not using it, like with Link's Bow. If it looks awkward to have him empty-handed, we can just have him walk around with the Silver Bow naturally, since it's his most used weapon.
The Side Special was mostly just added as another way to equip the Ogre Club and make him as close to Brawl Pit as possible. We could just make it identical to Angel Ring with the Silver Bow instead and have the Ogre Club somewhere else in his moveset, but since Clubs have the no-autofire gimmick and can instead be swung rapidly, I kind of want to have it somewhere in the Club's moves.
The weapons not used here (EZ Cannon, Violet Palm and any Arm/Orbitars/Claws we feel like giving him) could be added in some minor places, like the back air or dash attack. I just wanted to keep the main focus on the three weapons, as to not make him feel like a weapon rainbow while playing since that's sort of Mega Man's gimmick.
As for the down special, well, I really just wanted to drive the "Pandora's spirit is inside of Dark Pit!" point home there. And after all, she is willing to do anything to get out of Dark Pit. Although, I've heard some people complaining about the timeline of Smash and that it takes place after Dark Pit loses Pandora's powers (If you haven't played Uprising before reading this what is wrong with you good sir) and yadda yadda yadda. So maybe we should just have Viridi help him in his Down Special instead. (Green isn't as edgy as purple though) And yes, his wings should be Purple instead of Blue for the Up Special. That was just me typing in a rush.
That idea for Pit's Brawl final smash is great, but lik you pointed out it doesn't fit Dark Pit too well. We'll just have to come up with a way to use the Charioit in a unique way I guess. |

| @Mellon Both, but your's was better. Dark Pit, in my eyes, shouldn't take anything from Pit. It's like Dark Pit's character. And considering the shit ton of weapons Uprising has, Dark Pit could be 100% original. And your weapon switching idea by normal attacks would be too confusing to someone who wouldn't know how it works. Took me 3 months to figure out how to do Ryu's and Chun-Lis EX moves, and I just found out a couple of days ago how to do a Sonic Boom in Ultra Street Fighter 4. Basically, It has to be an easy gimmick people can get. |

I'm sure the devs would find a way to ease you in with the gimmick. Maybe his taunt would change depending on what weapon he has. |

I'd prefer it if the weapons were all in one moveset, like Mega Man's. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Seriously though, I really would. Just a different weapon for each move. He's got too many Dark Pit-Specific weapons (Ogre Club, Dark Pit Staff, Silver Bow, Electroshock Arm, etc.) for it to be done efficiently with switching movesets. We want him to not be a clone of Pit, not the obviously better option over Pit. |

And about him being better than Pit...who knows that? Nobody knows what the devs have cooked up for Pit at this point. |

And about him being better than Pit...who knows that? Nobody knows what the devs have cooked up for Pit at this point. I actually do understand where you're coming from. A long time ago, I made a moveset for Dark Pit that used weapon switching as his main gimmick; that being said, that would necessitate the changing of his entire standard moveset, which while I did indeed make four movesets revolving around them, in practice it would be very impractical to develop. Plus, if we're using the Silver Bow, then we can say that Dark Pit would have a moveset similar to Pit's while also being able to switch out to another one, essentially making him a much more varied alternate of Pit (and thus, superior). That being said, I suppose you could always just make Dark Pit's Silver Bow moveset inferior to Pits in terms of stats, but... Then why would you ever switch to it? I also suppose that you could simply not include the Silver Bow moveset at all, but then you still have the issue of making what is essentially two-three characters for just one alt's gimmick. In the end, it would be much better to focus a moveset for Dark Pit around either one weapon that Pit doesn't have (if it was up to me, it'd be the Dark Pit staff) or around one moveset that uses a variety of weapons without needing to switch between them, as if he's a walking arsenal (as is done with Mega Man). |

I also have an idea for an Up Special, and attack similar to the Demon Cradle that Demitri from Darkstalkers can do. And DP's FS? It's going to be a biggie. |
