| Whoa, 3D crusade? I don't recommend CryEngine. It'll probably not run on onboard graphics card like mine. Google about Irrlicht engine. I think you will like it and it's on-board friendly. |

Absolutely not! That'd get us shut down faster than those piraters of SSB Brawl. |

Absolutely not! That'd get us shut down faster than those piraters of SSB Brawl. Super Mario Bros. X (if you don't know it, it's a homebrew Mario Engine) got shutdown because Nintendo found out that its author was earning money from ads, without selling the game. If Nintendo is strict about ads, think about a explicit selling-for-money of the game. Yes. We're gonna shutdown really early. Even, that's unnecessary. Paint.NET lives out of donations and became more powerful than the pay-for-it MS Paint (Paint's price is embeeded in Windows' price). VLC is more powerful than the freemium Quicktime. The only thing I would love to see is this game becoming open-source like fullscreenmario. We can take an copyleft license and prevent dumbs from forking propietary Crusades. But it's likely this is out of the plans. It's like working for free and letting any dumb make his/her own version probably with almost no changes. Actually copyleft prevents you from being heavily used. You work for free but anyone forking your project must work for free too. |

Redigit said, after he temporarly stopped Terraria development - "As for the Nintendo fiasco.. I'm sure there is a Nintendo PR guy somewhere with a huge grin on his face knowing that SMBX was shutdown and Nintendo took none of the blame for it." I heard somewhere it was just a prank call, but he did end up giving the website to Nintendo, because when you go to supermariobros.org (something like that) it goes to a Nintendo website iirc. Also, SMBX was updated February 1st 2014, slightly, by the fans I think... |

Also, SMBX was updated February 1st 2014, slightly, by the fans I think... That's just a graphical hack to endorse Joey and Valtteri's (the guys behind it) website. Nothing but some graphics changed. They also replaced Supermariobrothers.org with their website on the title bar. That's just to endorse them, nothing more. |

I left the forums and what not after the development was cancelled because I then moved onto spriting... |

| I think that he just wanted some bucks. BTW using 3D in gamemaker is as annoying as C++. If we wanted, we could use pre-rendered 3D models as sprites. Like Rare did with DKC. That's the simplest way of do it. I even think of it. Or even rendering then on-screen through objects. I mean, if possible, we place spriteless objects, then they render their models. That's the most annoying way. Especially with animations. Either way, we are going to disband spriters (which there's a good plenty of them out there willing to work free of charge) for modelers (which few good ones will contribute for free). Anyways, 3D crusade is nearly impossible, if only Gronos as modeler. |
