It's... A... Me...

I was over at my friend's house, same friend I mentioned in a couple of my other posts. We were probably playing Project M or some crap like that, when he decided to show off some of his Nintendo collection. NES, SNES, couple Zappers, a ROB, a couple broken N64s, some crappy Spiderman Gamecube controller, that type of stuff. He then got into the figurines, mostly Mario and Zelda, along with some Mario plushes. (This is just his Nintendo collection, to note. He has a bunch of other stuff I may mention and even show later if he allows me or if he ever comes on.)

Getting back to the collection, he suddenly jumped back in terror. I asked what was going on, and he replied asking me to leave the room for a second. I would've assumed it was a dead animal, or maybe some gross food he left over time. Although I was thankful it wasn't any of these, it wasn't much of an improvement. He told me to close my eyes. I hesitantly did so. When he told me to open, I saw him with what I believe was the most hideous Mario mask in collective existence. I had the same reaction he initially did seeing it in the box. With curiosity, I asked if I could borrowed it, in which he replied "Keep the damn thing, I don't want it!"

I snapped a couple pics with me wearing it. Keep in mind that I have a considerably long face, which may add to the effect of it's horror.

I have an Aired-up Armchair with the "Nintendo" Emblem and 64 Mario laid on top of it, its at my other parent's house, but as a child I tried my best to peel the sticker off, but failed so now all that's left is Mario with one arm and no hat and the letters D and O at the end of Nintendo. Last time I saw it I pushed it as far back as it could go in my closet so it wouldn't stare at me as I tried to go to sleep.

Yeah, I wasn't a smart kid back then.   But this is even creepier.

I assume it looked like this? Literally the only picture I could find of it on Google, much like my mask.

For a second I thought this was a lazy copy-paste of some sort of creepypasta, but I'm glad that's not the case.
