Not sure if this has been reported (or fixed), but I didn't see any threads address these issues so I'd figure I'd make one.

These glitches have been trigger by starting up a match normally, or by selecting "Rematch" after the current one is concluded. They appear to be strictly limited to the beginning of the matches.

Misloads are present in both versions, though more less reoccurring in v0.8.4.

In Both Versions,
- Announcer starts the match normally
- Matches start with black boxes and artifacts in place of the character sprites.
- Escape key still shuts down the game as intended

In 0.8.4,
- Match starts with camera having above the stage.
- HUD and Characters do not spawn, no controls respond.
- Player Character is completely missing, game speed drops considerably.
^ When ally CPU cleared stage (campaign) by killing the other 2 CPUs, the match did not end.

In 0.9Test,
- Parts of the stages or characters do not load in. Hyrule Castle being the most frequent offender.
^ Colliding boxes load in as intended. However the visual model is absent.
----
Crashing. When it happens, the game crashes completely along with the host machine (No Bluescreen, Unit blacks out).
Crashes can sometimes take place just after closing and reloading the game. Which I've had happen several times after rebooting from a Misload resulting in the game freezing, hanging, etc.
- All instances happen during the loading of the stage or just as it is about to start.

Here's some snippets from DxDiag detailing system information:

Otherwise, the game is being run with JoyToKey in the background.

I'll try to get some screenshots of the misloads as I run into them again. However, I can't provide anything else for the crashing bit as I am not getting any sort of error report or notification of system failure.

I haven't encountered what you describe, besides that fact that some stages refuse to load with 6 computer players.

However, kudos to you for making a detailed report, it really helps.

This is almost definitely a case of not having all of your folders in the right place. Make sure you download everything correctly and put the downloaded files and folders all into one bigger folder.

I was able to determine the actual conflict. After disabling Windows Aero, nearly all issues mentioned disappeared.

I noticed that when starting and closing the project, the entire desktop would flicker/update much like it would when running a program that did not support Windows Aero theme. Since that was the only indication I had of any fault, I disabled it to see if that would affect anything.

In v0.8.4, crashes are non-existent and the misloads have become far less frequent (once every 30 matches as opposed to once every 10). Additionally, misloads are more responsive to control input - As I was now able to pause the game, though I can't do much from there as returning to the main menu was not implemented into that pause screen of v0.8.4

I have yet to encounter either issue with v0.9Test post-change as well.

As an added note, everything is stored and ordered as included in the RAR file. The only modifications I made it to some sounds, and the changes include the original sound file being renamed (ie. "filename-original-.type") and the editted version being named in its place. The extent of these changes being sound edits.

Thanks.

Also, I was able to isolate the crashes I was experiencing. It had nothing to due with the program directly, it was a result of the CPU overheating during play - Mainly due to 90 Degree weather.

I also have a feeling this may have played a role in the misloads, but I haven't tested it enough since adjusting my desktop in order to confirm. However, I have not been able to trigger any as of yet after 45 minutes of play.
