After playing for a bit, here's my two cents.
Most of the game's humor comes from importing miis of people you know. Gabe Newell vs Elton John in a silly rap battle? YES.
I was also somewhat disappointed in a few of the customization options. The miis apartment backgrounds are all based on single layouts you buy in-game. If you're wanting to customize a miis place with the in-depthness of animal crossing, you'll be a tad disappointed.
You also do not control a mii fully. If a mii wants to go over to another miis place, you can't stop it or tell it to in the first place, unless its asking you if you should do it. Your role overall is to basically solve problems and watching your miis do silly things.
Overall, if you're looking for a life-simulation game, you are better off playing Animal Crossing. If you want a game where you influence the lives of characters but don't control them completely, this game may be for you.
